Copy Cat Liow

Please sue him for plagiarism

Liow under fire over Net clip

By NG CHENG YEE

PETALING JAYA: The MCA crisis is not only making headlines in Malaysia, it has also become a hot news item in Taiwan.

Party vice-president Datuk Seri Liow Tiong Lai and those aligned to him have been accused of being copycats in producing an Internet video clip similar to a campaign video of Taiwanese president Ma Ying-jeou.

The three-minute video clip, titled MCA MIRT 1128, is available on YouTube.

The content urged MCA central delegates to attend the Nov 28 extraordinary general meeting, which was later cancelled and replaced with a special briefing session.

Taiwanese news portal http://news.msn.com.tw also carried a story criticising the clip, saying Liow and his group had learned the worst from their Taiwanese counterpart, the Kuomintang (KMT).

Taiwanese television station TVBS also pointed out that Liow’s video had copied almost all the content from Ma’s video, and only replaced the word “Taiwan” with “MCA” and “kind” with “integrity”. He got integrity ? this copycat ? kiss the rat ...along with all his rats !

As at press time yesterday, the video has been viewed 14,898 times with 277 comments; with some users calling the MCA the Malaysia Copy Association. Because of this idiot Liow , MCA has now been called the the Malaysian Copycat Association , damn this fcuking idiot who thinks he's very smart ,but full of shit in his brains .

Meanwhile, MCA central committee member Datuk Ti Lian Ker challenged Liow to prove that 1,193 central delegates attended the Nov 28 briefing.

Ti said he would wait for Liow at the MCA headquarters at 11am on Friday to see the evidence.

In a press statement, he said Liow had failed to allow professional verification and an audit on the attendance as pledged earlier.

“Liow’s number of 1,193 central delegates does not tally with the figure confirmed by the Special Affairs Department under the Information, Communications and Culture Ministry that placed 547 central delegates attending the EGM,” he said.

He also asked Liow to be transparent and give an accounting of the amount he had received and spent.

Ti said Liow, the leader of the MCA Integrity Restoration Task Force (MIRT), must be reminded that he was slowly destroying himself and the party by walking away from his talk.

If he really had 1193 delegates as claimed , wouldn't he had turned the special briefing back into an EGM ? Does he think we are damn fools ?

Thanks AIXIN...

According to a China Press report..

Datuk Theng Book said, if you are sure that last Saturday (1128) you had 1193 delegates attended the special briefing, then you should get their signatures for another EGM.

After all, you only need 800 out of that 1193 delegates.Q.E.D. =quite easily done, right?

Why must you bother the 2/3 majority in the CC?

In his media statement Monday (1130) Datuk Theng also reiterated that Liow's faction has only 1/3 support in the CC, and this cannot force the other 2/3 majority to resign....

  12. Dear leekin,

    There is 2 MCA.

One stands for Malaysian Chinese Association, which OTK wants to make it strong to benefit all the Chinese.

The other is known as Malaysian COPYCAT Association, which Wee Ka Siong is obviously involved in.

  15. Dear all,

    Translation from Taiwan's news piece:

    (Exclusive) "Ready to Copy"

    Ma's ad begets Malaysian edition

    Update date: 2009/11/28 18:42

A "kampung edition" came out of 2008's Ma's ad "The Strength to Change".

A political ad from the so-called "revolutionary faction" of MCA's from Malaysia, from background music they used to the angle of shots they took, all copy from Ma's "The Strength to Change" ad.

What is even more ridiculous is the screenplay (the words they speak) is an exact carbon copy !

The following are wordings from both ads: ( note: the bolded words in brackets are the changes FGZs used, the rest [99%] are exact copies of Ma's ad )

"We can change our difficult situation now

    It's time to change

Change the fate of Taiwan (Ma Hua)

Don't give up this opportunity to change

Justice and benevolence (trustworthiness) will return

    Change Taiwan (Ma Hua)

We only need to move one step forward

    Taiwan's (Ma Hua's) future

    Taiwan's (Ma Hua's) hope

And Taiwan's (Ma Hua's) drive towards the right direction

    Need your participation

    Taiwan (Ma Hua) re-launch !"

A really incredible copy job, almost 100% copy !

However, the biggest difference is in the main characters:

Taiwan's President Ma Yin Jiu: "For Taiwan's future, for the sake of your next generation and mine, Taiwan needs to change !"

Ma Hua's (MCA) deputy president FGZ LTL: "For Ma Hua's future, for Chinese community and country, Ma Hua needs to change !"

After witnessing both ads, the netizens all lambasting that utterly ridiculous copy job !

But there are some who says that the original ad from Ma is already "empty", and they (the FGZs) even want to copy this "empty ad" !

They (netizens) also say the Kuomintang's performance for the previous year is really lousy, how come the FGZs never go to learn from the "Good Teachers", why learn from the lousy Kuomintang ?

Ma's ad does have influence in South East Asia

But who would have thought that this ad would be so blantantly copied?

And in the meantime getting bric-brac (eg Kuomintang's lousy performance) because of this?

    ReplyDelete
  16. Dear Kalambong

    Tx Sdr.

This makes it very clear that LTL & his gang of brutuses are really "BOH LIOW"
