Flying shadow during flying car mishap
KOTA BHARU: A video clip uploaded onto YouTube has been hotly discussed in town because of a shadow "flying" across the entrance of the KB Mall after a car tragically plunged from the car park into the shopping centre, killing two young girls. The "mysterious shadow" video has since been widely circulated through the Internet. A merchant at the mall showed the video to Sin Chew Daily reporter who returned to the scene for follow-up stories.
He said someone took some video clips after the accident as the police had cordoned off the area to prevent people from going into the mall.
In one of the video clips lasting 35 seconds, a few paramedics were seen carrying a woman on a stretcher, ready to get out of the mall. Then the camera turned to the two escalators at the back of the spot where the car had plunged into.
Suddenly, a shadow in the likeness of a woman's back was "flying" from left, and then lost in the middle of the camera.
The merchant told us the video cameraman purposely marked the area of the moving shadow with a red circle.
"Although it was mysterious, I found the shadow very clear.
"It is difficult to tell whether it has been a reflection of the person taking the video, as the cameraman was standing outside the glass door." (Translated by YOU HSUEH LIN/Sin Chew Daily)
'Big head elf' spotted in Sabah?
KENIGAU: A 'big head elf' was spotted in Sabah?
A Sabah Foundation officer claimed that when he was taking pictures of a newly built drainage dike in order to record the progress of the construction, he inadvertently captured a picture of a “big head elf”.
Labai Iao (name transliterated), 49, believed that the drainage dike construction might have “disturbed” the spirits “resting” there and thus, the “big head elf” was shown in his picture.
He said that he took about 20 pictures from various angles with his mobile phone at 4.30pm on 21 Oct and the pictures were taken for the construction report. The new drainage dike was built to replace the traditional irrigation system that supplied water to over 100 paddy fields at downstream.
He pointed out that the “big head elf” was seen under a fig tree and it was riding on a dog's neck. The picture showed that the elf had a huge head but with no limb.
“The fig tree has already existed since 60 years ago. Dusun people called it the 'Death Tree'. Whenever there was a drainage clean up campaign here, our ancestors would sacrifice chicken or swine in front of the tree,” he said.

He believed that perhaps, the elf wished to convey a message which was most likely related to the newly built drainage dike.
He also said that the dog in the picture turned spiritless after it was rode by the “big head elf”. He believed that it was waiting for the time of its death.
He added that he was not frightened, but has been more determined in holding the Creator in awe, as well as believing in His ability.
