Two Wings and prayers but no big guns at MCA 'outsiders' virgil

Hired candle light protesters , like sometimes at a funeral wake to weep and shed tears by the two professional weepers after the PC reshuffle . Must be from the PKR and DAP candle light protesters for hire .

KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 19 — The word on the street was that a protest was going to be held at the MCA headquarters at Jalan Ampang. Reporters came in droves at 7pm. Policemen prepared for any eventuality.

What was hyped as a “protest” against the MCA leadership, turned out to be a subdued affair. For one thing, the protestors were mostly youngsters wearing face masks. Pockets of the MCA Youth and Wanita wings’ members attended, but no big names showed up.

“If an MCA leader were to betray and manipulate democracy, the very foundation of the party, just for the sake of retaining power, how can you convince the Chinese community that you will not betray the nation and country when you are facing the temptation of power and personal interest?” asked Lai Chee Hoe, a lawyer who was the appointed spokesman for the night. Is the loyar buruk directing that message to the Brutus and conspirators ?

He read out the press statement in front of the 60-odd crowd who were dressed in black and holding candles. A rendition of the Negaraku plus the MCA party anthem soon followed suit.

“We are here not in support of any faction...but we are just opening posters demeaning Chua and OTK . What cock is he talking ? We hope MCA will end this turmoil and regain stability in time to create a better tomorrow,” said Lai, who stressed that the candlelight vigil was not aimed at furthering any political agenda and that all they wanted was a strong MCA.

Chong Sin Woon, MCA Youth CC member for Pandan, attested to the fact that most of the people who attended the vigil were “outsiders”. Must be from the PKR and DAP professional protesters for hire club .

“This vigil was mostly initiated by outsiders, young people who are concerned with the future of this party. Now we ask MCA leaders to listen to these young people because of they do not do that, MCA is gone.” Please go tell that to the Brutus and Conspirators !

The only excitement in an otherwise sombre affair.

He went on to emphasise that the only possible way to realise democracy in the party was to make way for fresh elections. Who said that ? is it the brutus and Weeping Wee ? and they said they are not in support of any faction ? Who are they kidding ? My grandmother ?

The candlelight vigil reached its peak moment when people started offering “prayers” for MCA. The youngsters, though seemingly nervous, carried out what they came for. Seemingly nervous ?? Where are you Weeping Wee ?

Aside from the vigil, the only highlight of the evening was when a few people started brandishing anti-Ong Tee Keat/Chua Soi Lek banners. And they said they are not in support of any faction , bird of a feather flock together , great LIARS ....wearing black ? must be mourning the death of Weeping wee and Weeping Chew

The banners read in Chinese: “Chua Soi Lek keeps hanging on to deputy post, MCA cannot be rejuvenated with this person in power.

“Party chief Ong Tee Keat loses trust and credibility, has caused the Chinese community to lose face.” Where are the organisers ? DAP like to campor tangan too .

No arrests were made. The banners were taken away by the police. The gathering ended at 9pm.

  5. I could Not understand whether a fresh election will solve everything. Even if LTL manage to b president. Do u think his subordinates will listen to him? It's a merry go round. As long as each have half supporters, there won't be any unity. To be frank LTL has no solid basis to bargain for anything. That's why by asking PM Najib to intervene is like loning money from ah long to play this gamble.
LTL has forsaken his family (MCA) with his friends, WKS N CMF at the expenses of the family.
    This is 不忠,不孝,不義,不尊,不羞!
it is no wonder OTK will kick u guys out.
Putting either of u at OTK shoes, you'll ultimately do the same thing. Cuz that's how pain in the ass you guys are, irritating n not cooperating. Usually you brutuses should n shall quit for disagreement. Or silent n disobey. U think being in the 21 century can be rebelious Ka?

  6. Excrement !

That is exactly what is happening in and around MCA.

    Excrement from Bovine !!

Those who accuse OTK of not honoring the CDs and ask for yet another election are the very ones dishonoring the Central Delegates' decision !

The 2000+ CDs have elected OTK and CSL to hold the 1st and 2nd chairs.

Right now OTK and CSL are holding their respective chair right now. Why then the FGZs are asking for a re-election?

Don't they know how to honor the CDs' decision of the last election?

If LTL and his FGZ gang don't like what the 2000+ CDs have elected, they can always get out of MCA.

Like many Malaysian Chinese who are fed up with Malaysia, they moved out.

The FGZs too can get out of MCA if they hate the leaders so much.

The door is wide open, FGZs ! Please get out and stop creating trouble for MCA !!!

    Enough is enough !!!!!!!!!!

Me, a Chinese who is not an MCA member also cannot tahan the way FGZs are destroying MCA !!!

A statement from Sin Chew Daily

    * Opinion

    2009-11-20 10:30

MCA Central Committee Member Dato’Ti Lian Ker has recently made some untruth allegations against Sin Chew Daily in his article posted on his blog. English language daily The Star accorded the story with significant space and quoted Ti’s statement.

In relation to Ti’s intentionally misleading statement, our responses are as follows:

    (a) In reporting the MCA power tussle fiasco, Sin Chew Daily has maintained our impartiality and independence, we have not been biased against any fractions/individuals, neither have we been oppressive against anyone.

However, as a fair and responsible media, when faced with any individuals/events that have throughout the fiasco, either acted against the interest of the Chinese community or public in general, disrupted peace and harmony of the society, undermined the democracy system or preventing justice through abuse of power, we have to express our views and criticisms.

Such role is a form of monitor imposed by media on any arrogant power to be, it is also how public opinion curtails abuse of power.

In times when public has been confused by various smokescreens, when the truth has been distorted and when right and wrong have been displaced, we, the Chinese press is obligated to restore the truth, to reveal the facts in order to uphold proper political morality and social justice.

Maintaining Fair and Professionalism in our Editorial Content

    (b) Fair and professional editorial content is our constant pursuit. In handling the reportage or commentaries on the MCA power tussle; we have not succumbed to any form of pressure or intervention. Our content and approach are result of collective decisions made by the editorial team through many discussions or even heated debates.

Sin Chew Daily in taking such an editorial approach is being accountable to our shareholders as a public listed company and also being accountable to our loyal readers at large. In general, we have the collective interest of the public close to our heart.

Sim’s article does not represent our Stance

    (c) Ti has also commented on an article by Ms Rita Sim Sai Hoon, our executive director, published in News Straits Times. He is of the view that the said article is intended to lambaste MCA, and he has implicated Sin Chew Daily in the process.

In upholding the peoples’ freedom of expression, we are of the view that Sim is entitled to make her stand in any media of her choice, we respect her view but it however, does not represent our stance.

    (d) As a member of the MCA Central Committee, Ti should prioritize the integrity of his party; he should be responsible and honest with facts instead of making biased statements moved by personal interest to mislead the public.

    ====================

If I were Tiong, I would salivate at MCA assets. This is the time to do a corporate raid. With the help of Liow, Wee, Chew and the asses in the CC, this is the right time. I would rope in the old leaders. I will rope in Najib. There is 2B RM to share. This will help to top up my coffer that was destroyed by OTK. For breaking the PKFZ scheme, I will take the money back from MCA.

After all, MCA is on the sunset. There is no point letting the asset to waste. With the help of the insiders, I can strip the asset of MCA.

This is what I would do, If I were Tiong.

  13. Datuk ti,

In an article in sin chew today, they say that Rita doesn't represent them but has the right to speak, but we also have the rights, right? sin chew is no more the old sin chew but it seems now trying to hantam everyone disagreeing with its hardline stand. They have lost their minds and even said that OTK was the worse ever mca president, how come they stoop so low now just because of some vested interests of sinchew known by everyone by now? They seem to be going after only petty issues and ignoring big issues such as pkfz, illegal logging in sarawak, corruption index dropping drastically, rising crime problem, flooding of illegals in this country, drastic drop of fdi, abuse of power and authority by the high powered politicians, media monopoly, regress in gdp growth, high unemployment, high toll rates , telephone, broadband and water charges etc etc......in facts these are the real reasons why people are annoyed with BN, not MCA and who lead what so much. They also more prone to highlighting publicity for DAP, please bring these articles and shown them to Najib and muyhiddin as you can see lots of them daily in sin chew. OTK is seen as the hope to correct many of these and he seems to be heading the right direction until these fgz upset the whole plan. So what's wrong to reorganise to rid of the hindrance?? Otherwise, how things can be improved when these crooks are jumping up and down, misbehaving, recalcitrating, rude and abusive in every step they do and openly challenging the party constitution, the cc and belittling almost daily the president?? In cantonese, if you can afford to eat salted fish, you must also be able to take the thirst... why cry and played dirty tricks to win cheap teary supports?? It is only expected for actions to be taken for all the nasty acts that they have done to the party and OTK. So still cry like a baby openly?? Many malaysians feel disgusted with such a stupid and cheap skate political ploy by shedding tears in public like a child. shame on you WKS and CMF, you have no dignity whatsoever.

Najib must also konw that he does not take in khairy into cabinet with certain reasons that he knows best, As a PM, he has the right to do so and we can't question, right. The same loigc goes to OTK for mcalah. If OTK has certain reasons he believed that both cmf and wks should not be in in the presidential council, it is his rights to do so and both Najib, Muyidin and other parties should respect this right of otk which was clearly spelled out in the MCA consitution upon the mca president.

Part 1 : IS MCA FACING A REAL SERIOUS LEADERSHIP PROBLEM?

MCA was about to be torn apart after the 10.10.10 EGM. There were three factions jostling to control the party:-
    a) the President’s supporters which at that time enjoyed about 49% of the CDs;
    b) the Deputy President’s supporters which commanded about 47% of the CDs;
    c) and lastly the 3rd Force which comprises of staunch OTK’s supporters who schemed to do a failed coup d’etat.. The situation then was chaotic as the President was caught by surprise being pushed to the corner by his own confidantes. Without any choice, the president proposed to hold an EGM to decide the future of the party but his call was vehemently shot down by the rebels (LTL and cohorts) quoting the EGM would invite endless egms.
MCA WAS FACING REAL SERIOUS LEADERSHIP PROBLEM AT THAT TME.

To overcome the impasse, there were series of meetings between the 3 groups. As the EGM was deemed to be detrimental to MCA, the president and the deputy realized that personal ego and vendetta had to be buried in order to save the party. They were magnanimous enough to put aside personal interests to work together by hatching the Greater Unity Plan which was presented to the PM and has his blessing. OTK, CSL, NYY and LTL were present when the plan was made public during the press conference and everyone seemed to be supportive of the plan which is inclusive in nature.

The problem is with LTL who does not have leadership qualities and will as he has to consult and confirm with his CCMs pertaining to GUP and also whenever he had meetings with the other parties. As the deputy president he should be able to convince his allies but he is too weak and under the control of seen and unseen beings. A few days later, LTL and cohorts rejected the GUP and initiated the 2nd EGM.. (Flip flop as LTL and cohorts rejected the president call for an EGM earlier.).
With 16 requisitionists they legally registered with MCA HQ to requisition for the 2nd EGM. Several flaws were found in the requisition and they were duly informed to amend the requisition but as stubborn as ever they refused. The reasons given were unjustified and the resolutions went against the party constitution thus rendering the 2nd EGM UNCONSTITUTIONAL. We have to take note that the latest count for LTL support has dwindled drastically from 16 to 12 and now he has ONLY 10 CCMs who support him. They are holding cabinet posts now due to circumstantial reasons as they were elected MPs during OTK era.

Everything is not lost for MCA. GUP is supported by the president and his deputy and the plan has the support of the majority MCA members and the Chinese community at large. Being inclusive in nature, LTL, WKS and CMF were included in the GUP committee to implement it. Unfortunately, the three of them have been very uncooperative and have been pouring cold water to it. They refused to attend the GUP briefing when more than 80 % of MCA divisions throughout the country attended the function. WKS and CMF cried for being left out in the just reshuffled Presidential Council but can they function or assist the party when they always refuse to attend meetings pertaining to GUP as CSL is the person in-charge of the plan. CSL has been doing a great job as he has appointed the relevant committees to start implementing the plan. Give the members and the Chinese some space and time to embrace GUP. Any new plan will initially face teething problems at the implementing stage and I am very sure with the commitment and cooperation of very one MCA will unite, heal and serve the people more effectively. MCA will definitely emerge STRONGER.

Part 2 : IS MCA FACING A REAL SERIOUS LEADERSHIP PROBLEM?

VERDICT: MCA does not face a serious leadership problem which some newspapers have tried to paint. The 10 CCMs have been making noises at every given opportunities being holding cabinet posts. Spreading rumours, twisting facts, scheming traps and to a certain extent intimidating other CCMs to support their heinous self vested interest to take control of the party. The majority of the CCMs are united behind the president and his deputy.

    SOLUTIONS

    1. GUP being inclusive in nature, appointees should write in to state their stand pertaining to their appointments. State reasons if the refused the appointments.
    2. The appointments pertaining to the GUP’s committee are still effective and members must show their sincerity and commitment to attend meetings when called.
    3. Take firm action against those who persistently breached the party discipline. Official letter must be issued and replied accordingly. Action to be taken in accordance to the party constitution. Action to be meted out must be according to the seriousness of the offence. ( 1. Recorded firm verbal warning. 2. Recorded firm written warning. 3. Suspension. 4. Sacking )
    4. The Party Constitution must be strictly observed.
    5. Amend certain Articles in the Constitution which appeared to be ambiguous.
    6. Refer the 2 resolutions in the 2nd EGM to the ROS to ascertain its legality
although MCA have already sought two very renowned lawyers for their opinions
and have been proven to be unconstitutional.
    6. LTL must call of the illegal 2nd EGM as the CC meeting has already decided that
the EGM is unconstitutional. Otherwise he is breaching the party constitution.
    6. In no uncertain terms that LTL, WKSand CMF must be told that the minority
have to toe the line of any decisions made during the CC meetings.
    7. Lastly, the Prime Minister being the Barisan Chairman and has already accepted
GUP must tell LTL, WKS and CMF to embrace the plan.

Be firm and decisive, I am very sure with OTK and CSL at the helms of the party and the cooperation of every CCMs MCA will be able to find peace to unite, heal and most importantly serve the nation with fear or favour.

  22. The urgent thing to do now is to save the person who has acted to save the Rakyat money.

Mental association must first be created between Ong Tee Keat and PKFZ. Label him as "PKFZ ONG"; and keep repeating this label until it is planted in every one mind. Any stimulus that would call up the mental image of Ong Tee Keat would automatically also call up the mental image of PKFZ ONG.

    Start with this blog.

If this is successful, Ong Tee Keat is invincible.

  23. J4OTK,

There is a need to change the approach.

A portion of the populace equate OTK with anti-corruption, and the enemy is trying their best to change it.

They are trying to associate OTK with "dictator".

    J4OTK, here's the deal...

It's an AD WAR. It's a war of imagery, a war to win the heart of the masses.

My ad manager and I had a brief brainstorm session and came up with the following:

Caveat: This idea is very rudimentary. It needs to be polished.

Please refer to the picture at http://media.themalaysianinsider.com/images/stories/2009nov7/lioww-nov18.jpg

Notice that blue box of tissue paper?

Mission: To associate that blue box of tissue with that too park goay.

Concept: Competition of drama / comic / cartoon based on the storylines of a blue box of tissue paper.

The more ridiculous (and funny) the storyline the better.

    Competition:

There are a lot of drama troupes in our country eagerly awaiting a chance to become famous.

Give them the venue to perform their drama by having a "Drama Competition".

You can even telecast the whole event online, and upload the video to YouTube for the world to see.

Similar competition can also be done for the Comic / Cartoon category.

Thank you for your concerned. Majority of OTK supporters are law abiding and more civilized. We abide by the law and the party constitution unlike some so called leaders but do not how do differentiate between what is legal and what is not and encouraging CCDs to attend the illegal unconstitutional EGM. We won't attend but OKC is attending. See the different.
