Liow’s men axed from MCA presidential council

Baby , baby , daddy say please don't cry !

By Lee Wei Lian

KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 18 — MCA president Datuk Seri Ong Tee Keat today reshuffled the presidential council which saw the axing of several members aligned to his rival Datuk Seri Liow Tiong Lai.

Among those dropped in the reshuffle were Youth chief Datuk Seri Dr Wee Ka Siong, Wanita chief Datin Paduka Chew Mei Fun, Datuk Wee Jeck Seng and Wong Nai Chee.

New faces include Datuk Tan Chai Ho, who is aligned to deputy president Datuk Seri Chua Soi Lek.

The president has the discretion to appoint whoever he wishes but Liow described the move as politics of "slash and burn".

"It is a reshuffle, and not fair to say they have been axed," said Ong.

MORE TO COME

Update : Those sack includes Wee Jack Seng , Wong Nai Chee , Chor Chee Heung and Hou Kok Chung .

On Chew , this is what Dr Chua recalled , that when he previously called for an EGM, Chew had declared in closed-door sessions that she would resign if a motion of no confidence against Ong was passed and Dr Chua's MCA membership reinstated.

The former health minister told reporters on Wednesday that Chew had been saying she would resign all too often to the extent that it had discredited her.

'Back door listing'

Dr Chua described the Wanita leader, who is Deputy Women, Family and Community Development minister, as ‘talented.’

“She is the only Chinese politician out of seven million in the country to have been given a government post despite being defeated with a huge majority (in the 2008 general election).

He akin her appointment as ‘a backdoor listing in the stock exchange’, adding that politically this is called ‘morality.’

“She can lose and yet can come back. When people in the MCA lose, none have a chance to come back. She is the only one.”

Article 46 of the Constitution:

"There shall be established from amongst the members of the Central Committee a Presidential Council which shall consist of the President, the Deputy President, one or more Vice-Presidents, the Secretary-General, the Treasurer- General, the National Organising Secretary and not more
than ten (10) other members appointed by the President in his ABSOLUTE DISCRETION, who likewise may terminate such appointment if and when he thinks fit."

"MCA Women's wing chief Chew Mei Fun and Youth wing chief Wee Ka Siong made tearful appeals for delegates to turn up at the Nov 28 extraordinary general meeting to press for fresh party polls."

This is so shameful. Using tears for politics.
They are recalcitrant. After the CC meeting that rejected the EGM, they still insist on it.

This is time to sack them from MCA.

  3. I think it is time CMF finds a husband and settle down. After her senatorship is up, go and disappear from politics. In the meantime, she should quietly do her job she was appointed to do.

But this is just the first step.

The FGZs must be removed, all of them, expel from MCA !!!!

And make this a lesson to all, MCA is not the personal property of anyone, it belongs to the Chinese community !!!!

In the meantime, I like to congratulate the new members of the executive council, especially Ms. Tan Cheng Liang, a person who has earned my respect.

  20. How these people do big things? They cry because they lost their positions in the presidential council. It means they are immature and it means they are power crazy.

After this, how can they be head of MCA Youths and Wanita. These must remove them. Leaders dont cry. Only selfish losers cry.

And how come Liow Tiong Lai did not cry. Does it means he is still in the Presidential Council?

    ReplyDelete
  21. Ohh! They love their position in the Presidential Council too much. They cannot live without the prestige. They were close to the power source and now they lost it. Pluck their feathers one by one.

  22. JUST FOR THE SAKE OF ARGUMENT LET'S EXAMINE:

"Article 46 of the Constitution states...a Presidential Council which shall consist of the President, the Deputy President, one or more Vice-Presidents, the Secretary-General, the Treasurer- General, the National Organising Secretary and not more
than ten (10) other members appointed by the President in his ABSOLUTE DISCRETION...."

    (1) Is it correct to say that the first part of the said Article makes it "automatic" for the President/Deputy President/One VP or more/Sec-Gen/Tresurer-Gen/Organising Sec to be members of the President Council?

    (2) Is it correct that the President has ABSOLUTE DISCRETION only over the appointment of 10 "other members"?

    (3) The earlier report (malaysiakini.com) mentioned that Tresurer-Gen TS Tee was also "axed". This could not be true, because he is an "automatic member" of the PC. [The MCA HQ website does not remove Tee's name from the PC list.]

    (4) I love to read your views--either lawyer betul or loyar buruk....hehehe

  26. Sdra Justice4otk,

    I beg your pardon.

You said above ( at 03:47pm ) that the CC voted against the 1128 EGM with "more than 2/3"....

Where got 2/3 majority? The President announced that:

    翁诗杰也表示,中委会内共有23票否决廖派发起的1128第二场特大,仅有10票支持,以及2票弃权。他解释,第二特大的议案已经抵触党章,而且会议通知书也拥有缺陷。

Twenty three ( 23) CCM rejected the 1128 EGM; 10 supported; and two abstained.

I think we are SHORT of one vote to achieve the 2/3 majority: 24/42 :

    http://www.mca.org.my/English/Leadership/Pages/MCACentralCommitteeMembers.aspx

Why today's attendance is so low: 35/42 ?

Anyway, technically we got no problem without the 2/3 majority today. SIMPLE MAJORITY is also good enoughlah.

  30. It is indeed disappointing. When one is in politics, one must be strong and not shed tears in public. Otherwise, we will be easily pushed or cornered by opponents.

Thus far, I have heard 3 people either almost in tears (Heng Seai Kie) or have shed tears (Wee Ka Siong, Chew Mei Fun).

This should not be the way and sympathy points don't come for tears in politics.

My friends, as we can see, there are Anwaristas in MCA who still go around claiming that they have the numbers and support.

We cannot deny that Tiong Lai, Mei Fun and Ka Siong has substantial support in Youth, Wanita and MCA as a whole. Also, I know that Ka Chuan has strong support from Perak.

The crisis will continue unless fresh polls are carried out to silence the Anwaristas in MCA.

But of course, I am supportive of fresh polls only after reforms have been done where direct elections of party leadership are made possible.

The Chinese text of Article 46 is very clear:

    组织、职务和权力
    46. 会长理事会由中央委员会委员组成,此会长理事会包括总会长、署理总会长、一位或多位副会长、总秘书、总财政、组织秘书长以及在总会长绝对权限内所委任的不超过十名的委员,总会长可以在他认为适当时终止这项委任。

The "absolute discretion" MAY refer to the appoinment of 10 other members only....

That's why during Dr. Ling fishead's era, OTK who was the Youth Leader was also included in the Presidential Council...though two of them were not in good terms....

MCA seriously needs paradigm shifts. The culture of respecting the voice of the majority has to be inculcated and internalised by the principal office bearers / CCMs / CDs. For the party to function effectively the heirachy of the set up has to be understood and respected. The culture of showing defiance in public or through the media has to stop. It is in the meeting that one should argue intellectually with facts and figures to substantiate one's idea. It is utmost important to be able to agree to disagree and vice-versa. Decision once made throught consensus should be respected and abided by it.

The indiscipline shown by some CCMs this time should not be tolerated in future. The Members of the Disciplinary Board should be appointed and function as soon as possible to deter some deliquents from creating mischiefs.

LTL should show maturity as a senior politician The sandiwara has to stop. Guide the lost souls. Not directing them into the death valley. LTL being the senior one you will be held responsible.

The chapter should be closed after today's CC meeting. All decisions made and endorsed have to be respected. Close rank now, to unite, heal and to serve.

If he has been following the MCA's problem then he should know that olive branches have been offered to LTL and gang. He should also realised that they had defaintly ignored the call or plea to subscribe to GUP. They even refused to attend the GUP briefing last Sunday.

Remember during time of Abdullah he kept hinting PM should resign and sometimes deny what he was saying. How can we believe in this type of person or his hinting. This is what Brader POLIBUG stated:

    **有人说,今天泪洒记者会现场的那一位魏官人,是个演技出众的高手!开完会还能谈笑风生,抛一句耐人寻味的「精采万分」,才一转头,便能决堤当场、痛哭流涕,演技可谓出神入化,收放自如可比金马影帝!到底是不是作戏?那倒也未必,若要作戏,那么迟钝的周大姐怎能赶在他前头?然而,是否真如魏某人所说,是为了马华的「民主死亡」一哭呢?那当然更不可能。**

Translation: WKA was still smiling after the CC meeting, and he commented that the meeting was "very exciting"....But in a sudden, by turning his head, WKA wept....This is a fantastic acting skill --so natural like the Best Actor who received the Golden Horse Award....Is he really acting?

The idiom (originated from an Arab proverb) :"There is a limit to everyone's endurance, or everyone has his breaking point...," or "the last in a line of unacceptable occurrences...."

Variations of this idiom include "the straw that broke the donkey's back", "melon that broke the monkey's back" and "final feather that broke the camel's back". Charles Dickens in his "Dombey & Son" used this idiom: "...last straw breaks the laden camel's back."

MCA's failure to gain the confidence of the voters is the perceptions that most MCA politicians are after wealth and fame. The community send a strong message during 0308 election that we no longer accept their nonsenses. We thought perhaps MCA people would take the routed as a lesson, but those people never learn, continuously repeating the same mistake over and over, again and again.

Post- election saw the emergence of the Brutus and gang who sell their souls to achieve their evil and wicked motive. They cunning crafted a sinister plot for the president and deputy president of MCA to fight and kill each other so that they can rob the MCA presidentship from OTK and the deputy president from CSL. Their set back drive them to kowtow to UMNO by seeking their help, so that they can proceed to grab MCA top two post, such act further debase their chinese dignity and showing the whole world that these shameful Malaysian Chinese have no backbone, it is definitely a disgrace to the entire Chinese's community. The coming EGM on 1128 is another monkey business an act of conspiring to pervert the MCA constitution, demeaning the charter.

Before this chapter have even conclude yet, another force is already waiting by the side line for the opportunity, some ex have been inciting and adding more fuel to the fire and pushing hard for those wild monkeys to go head on so that these silly monkeys would be slaughtered, best still both side get kill so that these ex reemerge and become prominence once more.

Going against the voices of the majority is UNDEMOCRATIC and also disrespectful to the PARTY CONSTITUTION thus the voices of the MEMBERS.

In the NTV 7, LTL, CMF and WKS were rumbling about protecting and defending DEMOCRACY in MCA which contradicted their very defiant actions. Please this is not the time to talk to the press to avoid more damaging effect. Your present mood will create an unpleasant atmosphere beside exposing the ugly faces. Think hard and be more rational. Put yourselves in the President’s or the Deputy President’s shoes and your should be able to find the answers.

The mini drama should have ended with the final episode at the CC meeting where the righteous majority emerged the winners and the minority the vanquished. Very light sentences were passed by reshuffling the Presidential Council despite of the continuous detrimental actions and news conferences given by the lost souls for the past few days.

It's all in the political games. The young lost souls are still very impatient and immature politically to be influenced by the unseen devils. Many politicians have fallen and disgraced, but they have the wisdom and courage to reassess and reflect on themselves. Repent on the mistakes made and they have come back wiser. So do not need to cry. As the Buddhist always says, the negative karmas will ripen faster than usual if we have done a lot of harmful things. We simply harvest what we sow. The law of the karmaric effect.

Be part of the GUP for the sake of the Chinese community and the nation. The above writers are just ordinary members and non-members like myself too. We simply would like to see a united MCA, to heal and serve the nation and Chinese community more effectively through the mechanism provided in GUP.

  72. Very light sentence is right. But very light sentence gives these idiots the idea that OTK is afraid of them. No action makes them bolder, and that is happening.

MCA MUST EXTERMINATE THESE PESTS IF PEACE IS TO RETURN.

You how the British exterminate piracy in the 18th century. They hang every single one villian that were caught.

The only way to stop all these childish rubbish is to eliminate them totally. No more talk. no more excuse.

  73. OTK is too soft. He talks tough but acts soft. I am predicting that he will not last too long as MCA president. How can he let a bunch of rabble rousers burn his nose hairs? This is undermining his position.

  74. The is a speculation that csl will vacate his dp and cc member will vote to vacate the seat until the next election.
Subsequently csl will be appointed sec gen.
My thoughts: wfm will be treasury gen.
Mayb that's why tee hock Seng is not in the pres council.
Then ltl wanna claim his seat feel free, bear in mind cc will vote to vacate it.
You can look at the seat but can't seat on it.
    Too bad.

  75. OTK wants to be tough but kenot, u noe y?

Arm no is applying a lot of pressure on MCA, warning them that they kenot sack those traitors, --- of course la, those traitors work for arm no wat ! --- and so far OTK can do is to kick them out of the councel de la presidente.

Only if more Chinese support OTK can OTK gain the strength to stand up to arm no and tell arm no to go to hell.

    Will the Chinese do so?

Or will the Chinese start to hide again, as usual, whenever the dark arm no clouds appearing?

It is time for the Chinese to find back their biji or else we would be forever be stepped on, like what they had done to us since 1969 !!

  76. The Chinese community must tell ahem no that if these 3 are not sacked, then no chinese votes for MCA. This is the only kind ig message they understand.

  77. Kalambong,

    well said once more...

may 13 was a huge success for the chinese..

  80. PM must have been misinformed that MCA crisis is getting serious. Infact it is getting better and stronger, with the betrayers group reducing to only 10 clowns. Insisting on their EGM will only prolong the crisis and lead to nowhere.

Clearly, the president is going the right track by joining hand with Datuk CSL to form a formidable MCA, so that they can walk tall and fight for Chinese cause. This, I hope they will carry out efficiently.

TS Tee Hock Seng was never "reshuffled out" of the Presidential Council:

    http://thestar.com.my/news/story.asp?file=/2009/11/19/nation/5142897&sec=nation

A check with the MCA HQ website shows that his name is still in the said Council.

He is OTK's buddy, you know, since SMJK Confucian....

It is a mere speculation that CSL "agreed" to be demoted to Sec-Gen.

I am sure there is no valid reason for that change to be effected, because no one "can" take the dispute to the court of law.

    AIXIN.

    Different head got different thinking.

    Different party got dfferent agendas....

So I suspect that PM was not "misinformed". He said what Umno "wanted/planned" for him to say...so that he can "kow-tim" MCA --for good or bad or worse or worst....

MCA cannot live in isolation. That's is the problem in Malaysia!

  83. It is a great moment to see the punishment befell on these crooks but let us not celebrate too early as there are few more important things to do:-

    1. Romove the FGZ from MCA cc. Even both CMF and WKS can be removed, just cucuk their respective wings to initiate a revolt. For Wanita, Heng Siak Kie and tan ching liang can take charge and for youth, Loh Qiu June and mah han soon can take care. Eventually both need to be chucked out of cc and later out of mca.

    2. Restructure the chinese media in malaysia and disintegrate the disgusted monopoly of sin chew tiong who owns sinchew, nanyang, gwangmin, china press, hao wei weekly tablid etc etc etc......this has to be broken. In the process, remember evil figures such as sinchew tiong, latuk lowcc(Sinchew tiong's right hand man who brainchild many of the chinese papers deals with Ong Ka Ting), rita sim, misai tay and a few more hidden hands.

    3. PKFZ tiong - once the proof and information are solid, refer to the authorities to take actions. If no actions, write to Transparency International, United Nations, Bar Council, etc to highlight and make public, no cover up whatsoever.

    4. To finish off the remnants of Ong Ka Ting, Ong Ka Chua, Ling Liong Sik, Chan Kong Choy who have plaqued MCA for far too long.

    5. To witch hunt UMNO mps who ridiculed chinese and mca leaders openly without basis and facts ie abdul aziz, bung mokhtar, etc. Put these few rascals under magnifying glass and you will find many pleasant surprises...then publish them in the blogs to get them in.

  84. Dear Axed Journalist,

    You got it right !

Arm no has been waiting on the sideline the CHANCE to go for the throat of OTK !

They tak boleh tahan OTK for OTK gonna bongkar (some of) their involvements in the multi-BILLION dollar PKFZ scandal.

Itu tak boleh di dedahkan, TAK BOLEH !

That is why they have been wanting to slit OTK's throat.

And the FGZs gave them that chance !!

GOD DAMN FGZs, may all of you rot in hell forever !!!!!!!!!
