Thursday, 22 April 2010 08:16

KUALA LUMPUR –The Raub Australian Gold Mining (RAGM) company in Pahang "had followed proper guidelines and no cyanide poisoning was found at Kampung Koman, Raub, Pahang" as claimed.

The decision was arrived after a meeting between deputy minister in the Prime Minister's Department T Murugiah and representatives from the Pahang Health Department, Raub District Office, Mineral and Geosciences Department, Pahang Environmental Department, environmental activists, public and media.

No trace in water samples

According to a statement from the Public Complaints Bureau, investigations and inspection conducted by the Chemistry Department showed no traces of cyanide from water samples taken from Sungai Koman.

"Water taken from the up-stream and down-stream of the mining was tested," said Berrnma quoting from the statement.

Investigations were carried out following complaints from about 3,000 residents that cyanide was present in the water due to mining activities carried out by the company.

Since the local authorities have conductecd the tests, now the ball is at PKR's Tian Chua's feet as he had championed his political gimmick in this area by saying that PKR can do better in governing....

Show time, Mr Tian Chua, our PKR MP cum politician (is he a graduate from Chemistry Engineering from Aussie?), and the ball is on his feet to prove to this village that Local and National Authorities are useless just because Mr Tian Chua thinks so....

By the way, I have seen this cynaide crisis in NTV 7. Chemical Tests were done, and the Local and National Authorities are serious in this matter as this cynaide syndrome in the river can jeapordise the Raub villagers, Selangor people and the Aussie's FDI on gold mining.

In the first place, this is NOT an Australian FDI. Please go check your facts.

Yes, who ever lay the charges, now it is your turn to show proof. that's very fair.

I sense a bit lf lie in the report. It mentioned water taken from upstream and downstream of the mining area. Why upstream? Does it make any sense? It is not like fish breeding where the fish can swim upstream.

another lie by PR, they even went as far as bringing this folks to hulu selangor?

check your facts first, all PR leaders thought that they can simply lie and not provide facts.

This is also a major reason why many opted to defect from Anwar's party. They couldn't bear the lies any longer.
