Provide evidence or step down, Wee told

PETALING JAYA: Deputy Education Minister Datuk Dr Wee Ka Siong should provide evidence to back up his accusation that the Transport Ministry is behind the release of information on his alleged involvement in the Port Klang Free Zone (PKFZ) failing which he should be honourable and step down, said Simon Lim, the political secretary to the Transport Minister.

Lim said Dr Wee’s accusation had seriously affected the ministry’s good name, including that of its officers.

“He needs to be reminded that as a deputy minister, he should not make unwarranted, baseless and unsubstantiated accusations.

There are proper decorum and protocol to be followed if he wishes to lodge a complaint but definitely not by making sweeping statements,” said Lim yesterday.

It was reported that Dr Wee had likened allegations of his involvement in the project as a “political assassination” as any such information was included in the Port Development Report, which was only available to the Transport Ministry.

He had claimed that bloggers would not have obtained the information unless this had been released by the ministry.

Dr Wee had earlier admitted that his former company, Hijau Sekitar Sdn Bhd, had provided consultancy work on Port Klang.

Lim pointed out that the consultancy arrangement was a “private arrangement” between Dr Wee’s company and PKFZ turnkey developer Kuala Dimensi Sdn Bhd.

“Any reports prepared would be accessible by third parties. Hence, pointing fingers at the ministry is an indiscriminate and judgmental act,” he said.

Someone posted this comment in my other article a few days back ....its very logical and I wonder what fat Wee has to say to this comment :

Simple. Just go through the terms of reference for the Port Study by Hijau Sekitar. The Port understudy is in fact a feasibility study of creating PKFZ (2), an extension of current PKFZ with the assumption that the existing facilities are fully utilised or occupied. Question is how can one provide future projections without having to refer to the current PKFZ Project. Where is Hijau Sekitar going to obtain data. Definitely from KDimensi or TKS, the turnkey contractor for current PKFZ. There is no denial that there is a link between the current PKFZ study and the study undertaken by Hijau Sekitar on behalf for KDimensi.

  2. This is the blueprint for PKFZ 2, right? Now it is clear to me. I presume that this is the scheme for Tiong and Wee to make even more money should Wee were to become Transport Minister.

No wonder, Wee wanted to take down OTK when OTK took actions on PKFZ 1. This spoilt the plan.

    What a morally corrupt man.
