KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 9 — MCA Youth chief Datuk Wee Ka Siong (picture) today welcomed the prime minister to intervene in the party crisis after Datuk Seri Ong Tee Keat moved to block an attempt to hold another EGM on November 28.
He said that that Datuk Seri Najib Razak’s intervention would not be seen as an Umno leader meddling into MCA’s problems.
“The prime minister said that the mandate should be made through a democratic process in electing the leadership. I thank the prime minister for showing his concern.
“The fundamental basis for our struggle is that we want to empower the central delegates to elect the leadership. So I think this is our basic principle that we have been fighting for all this while. This is a matter of principle and I think we should give the central delegates a chance to elect the new leadership.
“The intervention is in-line with what we are fighting for which is to allow the central delegates to give a new mandate to the leadership though an EGM,” he told reporters in Parliament.
MCA secretary-general Datuk Wong Foon Meng had rejected the call for an EGM by 16 central committee members aligned to party vice-president Datuk Seri Liow Tiong Lai after another 27 backed the plan that brought together president Ong, and reinstated deputy president Datuk Seri Dr Chua Soi Lek, both of whom are also against the EGM proposal.
Wee said today that the EGM was important for the party to regain its credibility by allowing the delegates to decide its leaders.
Wee stressed that he was willing to meet with Najib if necessary.
“We will present matters that concern the grassroots,” he said.

My idea is to implant at least 2 trojan horses inside LTL's camp and be a good spy within to dig and uncover hard evidence of wrongdoings of the lot and hen expose them all. For many decades, MCA's members' complacent has resulted in snakes / hooligans / FGZs occupying the leadership roles of MCA.
Under the tutelage of those snakes / hooligans / FGZs, MCA, in many ways, resembled a snake pit, a pirate cove, the heaven for hooligans.
And time passed, more and more Chinese deserted MCA because they just couldn't stand MCA anymore.
This is not to say ALL Chinese have deserted MCA.
A lot of conscientious young Chinese have / had joined MCA in hoping that they could change MCA from the inside. Most of them failed in their mission and either dropped out, or become snakes themselves.
But there are a few of those young conscientious Chinese survived. OTK is one of them.
He struggled on. Every step of the way the snakes wanted him out. They wanted to defeat him but this OTK stubbornly fought on.
Step by step, he defeated those who want to do him in.
And even today, when OTK has become the president of MCA, those snakes still licking their chops and scheming to topple OTK.
That is why I support OTK. No, I am not a member of MCA but I support MCA.
I am sick and tired of seeing MCA degenerated into a hooligans' cove.
I am too sick and tired of those snakes' who have sacrified the Chinese for their own selfish gains.
I want to see MCA strong again, and I want to see MCA kick out all those snakes and FGZs.
And I think I am not alone. Many Chinese want to see MCA strong, an MCA that is free of snakes.
Do you know that many of the Chinese who are in the opposition camp (PKR / DAP) are rooting for OTK?
Do you know why?
Because they want MCA to be strong enough so that arm no won't be able to bully MCA like they have been doing for the past 5 decades or so.
Many of those Chinese who joined PKR / DAP joined the opposition not because they like Anwar or LKS, but because they cannot tahan arm no no more.
If MCA becomes strong and no longer becomes a whipping boy of arm no, I am sure a lot of Chinese will leave the opposition to join up with MCA.
I have friends in MCA and also those in PKR / DAP and I hear them.
It's a struggle for many Chinese. Even those who are inside MCA are struggling, because they are tired of the snake leadership but they still wanted to help the Chinese community, and they are very tired of being spitted on by the very Chinese they want to help so much but because of their snake leaders, they are labeled "FGZs".
Similar struggles are in those Chinese who joined PKR / DAP. They don't really like LKS / Anwar but they didn't have much choice --- the leader of MCA (back then) were running dogs !
By joining PKR / DAP they know they are playing against MCA which they love, but for them, they know MCA needs tough love --- something MCA must realize itself, that they can no longer fool the Chinese community.
So it's up to you guys.
You want MCA to be strong, support OTK, the MCA leader with conscience.
If you want MCA to become snake pit again, go ahead, support the FGZs.
It's all up to you.
Wisdom and humility should prevail as we are beginning to see flickering light at the other side of the tunnel. More effort should be put into the promotion of the GUP. The GUP task-force should get cracking. Assigned every CCM to do the promotion. The feeling of being part and parcel of the plan will be the impetus for creating a sense of belonging and thus the unite the party as an entity. MCA should not forget its inclusiveness as has been professed by the President.
ReplyDeleteDifferent strategies are needed to heal and unite. The process of healing demands magnanimity and humility. Make bridges and not building walls so that MCA can become united, stronger, healed and to serve the nation and the Malaysian Chinese. Yes, there should be beaches waiting when upon realization and finding the righteous paths there are still beaches waiting. Be compassionate and accommodating. Everyone reserves the right to be angry for one reason or another but we have to look at the larger picture. Your worst enemy cannot harm you as much as your own mind unguarded. We are always judgmental when clouded by emotion. I have always looked on Mandella and de Klerk, who, for the sake of the people and country made selfless sacrifices. People have to go through different paths in order to be enlightened and gain wisdom. So, in their journey they may have been misguided or lost in the chaotic situation. I am very sure that deep inside everyone heart there is a sincere urge to serve, along the way, unfortunately they may have erred which is human. It is not easy to eat humble pie. The humane in us should open up our heart and welcome them back.
In politics of which number equates strength we need everyone who are willing to subscribe to the noble cause of the Party. The Party needs to shift its paradigm, re-invent, re-energize and rejuvenate and thus redeem it dignity and credibility to serve effectively without fear or favour.
To the lost souls, reflect and find the righteous path and stop causing pains to the party.
We should help the Party in this trying time. This is my feeling which is not necessary to be right as everyone deserves to think differently . Healing is the PRIORITY.

The Roots of MCA must be revalue because as from the base of the party, I even fought like OTK , what ended up I get is BETRAYED by all my comrades whom I proposed to the party. The comrades whom sell me out is work together with a outsider who is rich and talent ( Like Brutus Wee and Boss Tiong ) . I hv started MCA at the begining with all my time , effort and resources . But the outside using his money and connection and slowly penetrating my division. Moreover with the help of top level MCA by making false branches & rep. ( Brutus Lee is one of the black hand ), I was eventually sidelined by the party. Anyway , I feel my story is only one case in the iceberg of MCA, I believe what OTK facing now as the TROUBLE SOURCE of MCA I met before and this time OTK must root them up for the sake of party & chinese as well.

2. All CCMs shall support the GUP since it is tabled by the President and approved and sanctioned during the CC meeting.
3. Press statements should only be given by the principal office bearers who are assigned to do so by the party regarding party matters.
4. Indiscipline shall not be tolerated during the truce period. Quick and decisive actions in accordance with the party constitution should be meted out without fear or favour.
5. After six months, set up a task-force to look into the party constitution to identify ambiguous articles to be amended in the interest of the party.
All of us are mentally and physically strained by now. "We may no be saintly enought to love our enemies, but for the sake of our health and happiness, let us at least forgive and forget."

It is call, in Cantonese, Chop Suey, or in Malaysian parlance, Rojak.
If you want MCA to become Rojak, by all means, invite the snakes, demons, scorpions back to the fold.
But if you want an MCA that is to be something all Chinese can be proud of, the snakes, the demons and the scorpions must be out.
The former option is easy to implement, forgive and forget. But the result is something the Chinese disdain of. Ie., just like the one headed by that Rotten Fish Head & Co.
The latter option isn't easy, in fact, it may be hurtful. But the result is something all the Chinese can support WHOLEHEARTEDLY.
Which option you want? Which option you think is better for MCA?

I ( non MCA member ) fully support Kalambong statements and reasoning. The community will not be able to accept FGZ as leaders. MCA need to start with leaders with principles who will not sell out the community rights. We have lost so much rights all these years and its time for a leader like OTK to fight back. However, a FGZ today will likely be a FGZ tomorrow and we should not only think about the short term gain of retaining them.

Thank you Kalambong, your point is much appreciated. It is good to be able to accommodate diverse views to explore any acceptable avenues to break the impasse the party is facing.
ReplyDeleteThe inclusion of those who have strayed but willing to repent may be an option. They should then be put under the eyes and supervision of the wise-ones who are deemed to be able to check on them. A trial period for their rehabilitation could be devised by a special task-force. I find that a large number of the present "leaders" lack discipline and the love for the party which should be inculcated into them. They are also found to be ignorant of the Party Constitution and its functions. In other words most of them are just in their nut-shells. If after the time given to toe the line is up and they are still unable to subscribe to the noble causes of the party, they should be shown the door.
During and after the cooling off period, MCA should not tolerate indiscipline and the party hierarchy should be respected for the party to function effectively. Rocking of the boat is a taboo.
Leaders should not be involved in any activities or business ventures that are deemed detrimental to the party’s image.
Finally, wisdom should prevail and come out with minimum wounds to attend to. The MCA, we envisage at the end of the cooling off period should be clean and strong with leaders who are sincere to serve without any hidden selfish agenda. Its a herculean job to be carried out with tactfulness. Hopefully the leaders of the party will have the POLITICAL WILL to see it through.

UMNO MPs’ “ambush” for OTK foiled by Minister’s absence
The ambush by several UMNO MPs for MCA President and Transport Minister, Datuk Seri Ong Tee Keat last night during his Ministry’s reply in the government winding-up of the 2010 budget debate was foiled when the Minister was absent.
The reason given by the Deputy Transport Minister, Datuk Robert Lau, who stood in for the Minister, that Ong was “busy” with the official visit of the Chinese President Hu Jintao as Ong is the “Minister-in-attendance”, did not go down well with the UMNO MPs concerned as Hu’s visit would only begin the next day.
Led by Umno MP for Sri Gading, Datuk Mohamad Aziz, at least three UMNO MPs questioned Ong for the RM28 million purchase of second-hand DMUs (diesel multiple units) by Keretapi Melayu Bhd (KTMB) instead of EMUs (electrical multiple units).
Mohamad even asked the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission to investigate the Transport Minister for the DMU decision, which is the first time a Barisan Nasional backbencher had called for anti-corruption investigation into a Barisan Nasional Minister.
With Ong’s absence, no proper answer was forthcoming from the Deputy Transport Minister.
On the RM12.5 billion Port Klang Free Zone scandal, Lau hid behind “sub judice” as excuse to decline any explanation or accountability on the “mother of all scandals”.

These FGZ are literally fighting for their pipeline$ and their political lifes. The iron gloves are now on. These are the biggest 'white' Tai Kohs in Malaysia (or connected) in cahhoots with the 'black' Tai Kohs in the shadow. No wonder Dtk Ti is lying low for now.
If you guys cannot "afford" to play - pls fold now. Unless the biggest Tai Koh of the Tai Kohs want to eliminate these small Tai Kohs - there is very little we can do. Even black becomes white, innocent becomes guilty, heteroSexual becomes HomoSexual! This is BOLIH - where anything and everything is possible with $.

1. How sure are you those backbenchers' bombardment was 'sanctioned' by 'Upstairs'???
2. I suspect that you know Chapter One, but you don't chapter two & so on....Are you NOT aware that those monkeys were called up by Muhyiddin & then later by PM himself and got screwed? PM & DPM knew that those monekeys were "prepaid & postpaid" lobbyists....
3. I do not believe that our BN Taikos wished to terminate the present MCA leaderships and replaced them with another faction. If they do have such motive, they must be prepared for "174" (Yat Chai Sey) --all died together in the next GE.
4. Please let me know that PM --born in the year of snake in 1953 --is so stupid to commit political suicide?
