Commenting on Liow's challenge at another press conference at Wisma MCA, Chua said if Liow was not satisfied with the fact that he (Chua) was still the deputy president, Liow should clarify it with the ROS and "not go around barking at the wrong horse".
Firing another salvo, Chua dared Liow not to contest for any position in the event of a party election.
He said when he first wanted to call for an EGM following his sacking, Liow had questioned his motive, but he (Liow) was now doing the same to get support from the grassroots for the Nov 28 EGM.
In another development, CC member Tan Chai Ho said Liow has lost his credibility after being too ambitious and desirous to hold a higher party position.
Because of this, Liow has caused a series of frictions in the party leadership, he said.
Issue of 'headless' MCA
Tan (pic, right) said Liow, who was deputy president for a brief spell after the Oct 10 extraordinary general meeting , had forgotten that during a CC meeting on Oct 15 he his ‘clique’ had taken a stand on three positions: they would not resign en bloc; they would not accept fresh party polls; and they would not bring party members to court.
"However, after having being reinstated as vice-president and seeing the return of Chua as the deputy, they have now chosen to take legal proceedings against the party," Tan said in a statement here on Thursday.
Tan, who was one of those who called for the EGM, said Liow had talked about party positions at a meeting on Oct 12 and had raised the issue of the MCA being ‘leaderless’ after delegates gave a vote of no confidence against party president Ong Tee Keat and rejected Chua as the deputy.
Tan, who is the MCA’s religious bureau chairman, advised Liow if he now wants to be president, to directly negotiate with Ong.

Regarding the position of former legal bureau chief Leong Tang Chong (pic, left), Tan said when the president wanted to draft a resolution for the EGM, Leong had objected by claiming that it was against the party’s constitution.
"However, when Liow and his clique proposed the same resolution, he (Leong) suddenly interpreted that it was in compliance with our party’s constitution.
“Looking at the way he made the interpretation, it was obvious that Leong (pic, left) sought vengeance against the reshuffling of the legal bureau.
"It was upon his (Leong’s) advice that the deputy presidency was filled under Article 40 of the party’s constitution; which has been proven inappropriate,” said Tan. - Malaysian Mirror

This half pass six lawyer buruk leong can be the star chairman for amteem years under different mca leaders?? what happened that a dead wood like him can stay so long???As mca legal adviser as well??...luckily we have otk to kick his ass out of mca and the star...though he remains as a non executive director, though..suggest further actions be taken against him by the star in view of his latest attacks on the management and OTK/CSL.All these are tantamount to indicipline and insubordination and are sufficient reasons for the BOD of the star to convene a board meeting to remove him. Don't need to wait as he deserves all the appropriate punishments.Remove his mca membership also is another good option.

Datuk Seri Chua had rightly challenged LTL to clearly state how OTK and CSL did not respect the outcomes of 10.10.10 EGM.
ReplyDelete1. OKT is constitutionally the PRESIDENT OF MCA after the EGM. What is the problem with LTL disputing the fact? ARTICLE 35 of the constitution is very clear. Can you read or understand the simple wordings of the constitution, can't you? LTL if you can't understand. Admit, then we register you in a remedial school.
CSL has been very consistent. And I respect him as a professional politician. He rightly and duly seek clarification from ROS pertaining to his status. ROS interpretation has to be respected and binding. At such Datuk Seri CSL is still the constitutionally Deputy President of the party.

Loyar buruk Leong was in the CC meeting when LTL was proposed and elected to be the Deputy President. OKC blamed OTK and CSL for not advising the CC against the proposal. BUT.. what did the BOTAK LEGAL BUREAU CHAIRMAN do at that time? He was paid monthly RM25k to advise in legal matter. Confused delegate.
