Perkasa stung by speech on primitive men

Siapa yang makan chili padi , akan rasa pedas .

Mon, 11 Oct 2010 17:22

By G Vinod

KUALA LUMPUR: Perkasa today demanded an apology from MCA youth chief Wee Ka Siong for his reference to “primitive men” masquerading as national heroes.

Wee, who is the MP for Ayer Hitam, stood to lose crucial Malay votes if he was referring to Perkasa or Malay rulers, Perkasa youth chief Arman Azha Abu Hanifah said.

Wee made the remark in his address to the MCA Youth annual general assembly last Saturday. He did not specify whom he was referring to.

“They ... claim themselves to be national heroes,” Wee said. “In fact, what they are doing are for their own personal again, and all done at the expense of the country’s unity, development and future.

“MCA Youth wants to tell the primitive men this: ‘You do not fit in the modern times, and it is better that you go back to the ancient times.’”

Arman told reporters that Wee had put his political career at stake.

He also poured scorn on MCA Youth, referring to the poor attendance at Saturday’s meeting.

“Until he can get the Chinese support, he should stop talking tough,” he said.

He said Wee had used the word “primitive” without understanding its meaning and had failed to do his duty as a member of Parliament from Johor by not defending his sultan when the latter was criticised by Hindraf leader P Waythamoorthy .

“Is asking people to respect Malay rights and the rulers' sovereignty a primitive act? And why did he not criticise the Hindraf leader despite being a parliamentarian from Johor?”

Last Thursday, Waythamoorthy, upset over the Johor ruler’s call for caution in the handling of “sensitive” court cases, called on His Royal Highness to refrain from acting like a spokesman for Perkasa.

WKS - The Chinese Khinzir Toyol

What do you do when you are flushed with cash? Donate to charity? Set up an education foundation to help children of single parents? Or buy 1Malaysia logos to decorate your office with?

If you are Wee Ka Siong, do neither. You flaunt your wealth. And you flaunt it like no tomorrow. If you've got it, make sure the world knows how rich you are. Make sure they take notice and if they don't, you just need to yell out loud!

Recently, the PKFZ-tainted MCA Youth chief (who is afraid to call for fresh election in his own wing), has bought a plot of land in Bukit Tiara, near Cheras, Kuala Lumpur and is building a mansion to match Khir Toyo's. The costs? A whopping RM6.4 million!!!

See images of the land search and construction in progress below...

Where the hell does he get the money? Obviously, he's got tonnes of cash, as we can see here. WKS obviously is so arrogant, he thought nothing of concealing his ill-gotten gains. Officially, the mansion is already close to 8,000 square feet. But WKS is taking up land almost twice the size in surrounding areas to quench his thirst to live like Hollywood's Rich and Famous.

WKS even wrote to DBKL to get his house number changed from "4" (die) to "2A". Now, see who (politically) die...

Abuse of Power - 2

As earlier promised, here's more proof about Wee Ka Siong abusing his powers.

We all know about how Wee Ka Siong wants to sue MACC commissioner Tan Sri Robert Phang for remarks he made over a talkshow in Bernama TV in January.

The Deputy Education Minister ( pic above ) who is closely-linked to the PKFZ scandal had to find ways to stop the MACC commissioner from further spilling the beans on him. He was hoping a threat to sue would cow the old man into silence but that was not to be.

The tainted MCA Youth chief even sent an intimidating email to the Astro producers by throwing his weight around as a Deputy Minister, despite his earlier denial. Here is the proof (click on image to enlarge):

In the email he sent to the show's producers, he used an intimidating tone aimed at bullying the producers into cancelling the show. Worse still, he signed off as Deputy Education Minister although he had nothing at all to do with Bernama, which falls under the Ministry of Information. THAT'S intimidation.

Remember how he calls up the headmaster of the school Tan Sri Robert Phang's son goes to? Wee Ka Siong uses the same modus operandi. Strong-arm tactics. Intimidation. Bullying. That's the only way Tiong King Sing's lap dog knows!

Blog Blocked!!

Ka Siong is really damn pissed with Wee Ka Siong Unmasked. So pissed, in fact, he sent his boys marching to the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission to get the website shut down.

Now, access to Wee Ka Siong Unmasked has been blocked by TM. Little birds have gotten back to say that efforts are also underway by his mercenaries to also block access through other Internet Service Providers like Maxis and Digi.

Way to go, Ka Siong. Shut down as much as you want. Wee Ka Siong Exposed is a new site to spill the beans on you. The more you close, the more such sites will mushroom.

Why are you so afraid? You obviously live in the stone-age era where you think information flow can be controlled and news censored.

The documents in the past few postings must have hurt you so deep, the caveman in you came out. You thought this is the end? You are afraid of the truth. But the truth can never be hidden.

Wait for the next installment, "Abuse of Power - 2", the sequel to the earlier blog posting.

I was just tipped off by someone that the old blog Wee Ka Siong Unmasked has been blocked by MCMC and there's a new blog called Wee Ka Siong Exposed . I was also told by a little bird that during a PC by WKS , he mentioned that everytime a new article came out from Unmasked , Justice 4otk seems to be the first to pick it up . Well guys I always check on the blog so I am just lucky to be the first to read it !

Wee read this : Internet has broken down many walls, says Najib

PUTRAJAYA: Singing praises of the Internet, Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak said it had broken down many walls dividing the people.

“The beauty of the Internet is that it breaks down the ethnic, religious and age walls.

Chua-Wee deal causing anxiety
Thursday, 11 March 2010 15:25 LIOW Tiong Lai and his faction seem to be getting the jitters after learning that Chua Soi Lek and Wee Ka Siong had struck a deal whereby Wee was promised a ministererial post should things work in their favour.

Party insiders said that they heard whispers of dissatisfaction from Liow’s group comprising Wanita Chief Chew Mei Fun and central committee members Dr Hou Kok Chung who is the deputy Higher education minister and Wee Jeck Seng who is the deputy Youth and Sports Minister.

The insiders said Ka Siong, as the Youth chief, had demanded the Transport Minister’s post in return for rallying support from his wing for Chua.

It is also public knowledge that Ka Siong is now under investigations by the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) in connection with possible links to the Port Klang Free Zone (PKFZ) scandal.

Just recently, MACC deputy chief commissioner (operations) Mohd Shukri Abdul said the commission had recorded a statement from Wee and did not rule out that he might be called again.

He was also quoted as saying that there were several pending matters which had to be addressed before they could complete the case.

Chew, Hou and Jeck Seng are apparently not in favour of such an arrangement where Ka Siong would be the only person to benefit in the alliance with Chua by getting a minister’s post.

They in return also want something for the support that Chua so desperately needs to clinch the president’s post.

The insiders said that Liow’s faction do not want to be sidelined nor left out .

Worse still, the insiders said, the faction feared that Chua would not honour his promises to them.

Chua, they said, was known to be capable of abandoning any “chai tua” (candidacy list agreed upon to vote for by delegates ) pact at the 11th hour which would put teamed-up groups in a dilemma.

Chew, who is the Deputy Minister of Women, Family and Community Development, is also said to be dead serious against having Chua as the president because of his tainted past.

Stacked against Chua is the sex DVD scandal, which caused him to give up all party and government posts in 2008.

The next general election is crucial for the Barisan Nasional to regain its foothold in states which it did badly and the coalition can ill afford any slip-ups or controversy.

Chua’s image will be a liability to the party and allow the Opposition to have a field day to run down the party if it is led by a man who has a tarnished reputation.

Already, the party had suffered severe losses in the 2008 elections, where it only secured 15 parliamentary and 32 state seats compared to 31 parliamentary and 75 state seats in the 2004 elections.

There could also be a fallout in the Chua-Liow collaboration where it was noted that Liow’s faction was conspicuously not seen at a dinner for some delegates in Johor on Tuesday night.

However, Kong Cho Ha was there, which gave rise of a possible pact that Chua had made with him as well.

They said it would be no surprise if Chew, once a blue-eyed girl of Ong Tee Keat comes back to the fold and pledge support for him. After all, the impossible can be possible.

Likewise, Liow’s long-standing friendship with Ong may just be rekindled and see them reunited again and teaming up to contest against Chua who is expected to have Kong as his running mate for the deputy president’s post.

In the next few days, we will see aspiring contenders for the March 28 polls drawing up lines of allegiance and alliances.

Wee vs Phang: Go-ahead for defamation suit

Bede Hong

KUALA LUMPUR – Both embattled MCA Youth chief Wee Ka Siong and his firebrand critic Robert Phang will have their day in court come April 5, following months of verbal exchange between them over the PKFZ debacle.

In a decision on Wednesday, the Kuala Lumpur High Court that date to hear a defamation suit by Wee against Phang for linking him (Wee) to the financial scandal that has cost taxpayers RM4.2bil.

Judicial Commissioner Prasad Sandosham Abraham also adjourned an inter parte injunction application by Wee to the same day and ordered both parties to exchange their affidavits before the hearing.

The injunction seeks to restrain Phang as well as Star Publications - which has been named the second defendent - from further commenting or publishing defamatory statements linking Wee to the PKFZ scandal.

"I am happy that the judge has allowed a full trial. It'll give all parties a chance to explain themselves. I welcome the decision, which allow everyone to speak under oath," Phang told reporters outside the courthouse.

Subsequent application rejected

"And I shall take this liberty to repeat my call that as an MP, it is his (Wee's) statutory obligation to come forward and assist the MACC in investigating the PKFZ matter.

"Since day one, I have done nothing but invite Wee to come forward to assist the police in their investigations.

robert-wee"It's in the affidavit and in my defence statement, so I have nothing to fear," added Phang, who is special advisor to the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC).

An exparte injunction that was granted to Wee on Jan 22 had expired on Feb 11. A subsequent application by Wee for an interim injuction was rejected by the High Court.

The decision to set a trial date without reviewing the application for an interim injunction means Phang is not barred from further commenting on the issue until the High Court makes its decision on April 5.

Abraham had moved the hearing for the application to the trial date in response to a request by Wee's counsel that the plaintif needed more time to go through affidavits, which were served to them last week and defence statements, which was served o Tuesday.

“As the applications involve common facts, they will be heard together,” said Phang’s counsel Gobind Deo Singh.

Star Publications is represented by Chai Siew Wan and Yee Mei Ken.

On Feb 9, Wee filed a defamation suit naming Phang and the English daily as defendants over statements published between Dec 25, 2009 and Jan 12 this year.

Statement of defence

In his statement of claim, Wee, who is deputy education minister, claimed that the statements were understood to mean that he was involved in or committed the offence of corruption and/or abuse of power.

Besides the injunction, he also sought general damages, aggravated damages, exemplary damages and interest at eight per cent per anum.

In his statement of defence, Phang, 71, who is chairman of the Social Care Foundation, said his statements were fair comment and were made "on an occasion of qualified privilege".

Also claiming qualified privilege, The Star, in its defence. said that as a responsible news publisher, it had the social and moral duty to report and publish the news and statements concerning Wee's involvement in PKFZ as they were of "public interest and importance because he was a politician and a public figure".

Wee's former consultancy company, Hijau Sekitar Sdn Bhd had conducted a conceptual study for Wijaya Baru Sdn Bhd, which is owned by Tiong King Sing, the CEO of PKFZ turnkey developer Kuala Dimensi Sdn Bhd.

Last December, Wee, who is the MCA Youth chief, said Hijau Sekitar provided consultancy work on Port Klang but denied any link to the controversial PKFZ project.

On Monday, MACC deputy chief commissioner Mohd Shukri Abdull said the commission had recorded a statement from Wee and did not rule out that he might be called again. - Malaysian Mirror

Phang, The Star can comment on Wee, PKFZ

UPDATED

By Clara Chooi

KUALA LUMPUR, March 10 — MCA Youth chief Datuk Wee Ka Siong’s chief critic and The Star newspaper are free to comment on him and the Port Klang Free Zone (PKFZ) scandal pending the hearing of a defamation suit this April 5.

Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission panel adviser and Social Care Foundation chairman Tan Sri Robert Phang Miow Sin said today that as there was no order barring him from doing so, he would exercise his full right without fear or favour.

“I will challenge him (Wee) all the way. There is no fear. As an MP, it is his statutory duty to come forward to the MACC for investigation; the MACC must be supported all the way in its fight against corruption,” he said at the Kuala Lumpur High Court today.

The KL High Court today fixed April 5 for the suit as well as to hear the inter parte injunction to bar Phang and Star Publications (M) Bhd from making and publishing defamatory statements linking Wee to the scandal.

The court also decided it would hear Wee’s application for an interim injunction for a gag order on Phang and Star Publications and applications made by defendants to set aside the earlier ex parte injunction for a similar order that was granted to Wee on Jan 22.

Phang’s counsel Gobind Singh said that the ex parte injunction, after having been effective for 21 days, was no longer valid as Wee had earlier failed in his bid to extend it.

“This means that as of now, there is no restraint on either party to speak on this matter until the court makes its decision on April 5,” he told reporters outside the court this morning.

The door is open for Wee bashing and whacking ! Come one , come all , let join hands together to rid this pest from MCA !

Probe into Wee's link continues

PUTRAJAYA – Investigations are continuing into allegations of Deputy Education Minister Dr Wee Ka Siong's link to the Port Klang Free Zone scandal.

Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission deputy chief commissioner (operation) Mohd Shukri Abdull said the MACC had recorded a statement from Wee and did not rule out that he (Wee) might be called again.

wee-ka-siong-2"There are several pending matters which had to be addressed before we can complete the case... other witnessed may be called," he told reporters after handing over his duty as MACC investigation director to his successor here Monday.

Former Malaysian Institute of Integrity deputy president Mustafar Ali replaced Mohd Shukri as MACC investigation director from March 1.

The DAP had called for Wee to be investigated, saying a check showed that he still owns almost half of consultancy firm Hijau Sekitar Sdn Bhd which conducted a study to develop land next to the Port Klang Free Zone (PKFZ).

Wee also failed in his bid to get an interim injunction to prevent Social Care Foundation chairman Tan Sri Robert Phang Miow Sin and Star Publications (M) Bhd from further publishing alleged defamatory statements linking him to the PKFZ scandal.

Time needed to probe pol-sec

In another development, Mohd Shukri said the MACC needed a bit more time to close a probe on former political secretary to a senior minister, who was found with RM2 million in cash last month.

"The case involved international bank accounts. So we need a bit more time to trace real estates (acquired) overseas. Give us a bit more time to complete the case," he added.

The MACC released the former political on a RM50,000 bail on Feb 18.

The aide was arrested on Feb 12 under suspicion of committing acts which fall under the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission Act 2009 and Anti-Money Laundering and Anti-Terrorism Financing Act 2001. - Bernama

UPDATE 2

By Syed Jaymal Zahiid

KUALA LUMPUR, March 5 — The MCA Wanita and Youth wings announced today the cancellation of their annual general assemblies this weekend in a bid to exert pressure on the party president to hasten party elections.

MCA Youth chief Datuk Wee Ka Siong (picture), an ally to vice-president Datuk Seri Liow Tiong Lai who has been pushing for fresh polls, said through a text message that the decision was reached after the wing’s central committee (CC) meeting this morning.

“We have asked party secretary-general (Datuk Wong Foon Meng) about its decision on the AGM but the delegates have been asking us so we have to decide by 11 am,” he told the media after chairing the meeting.

At the same time, MCA President Datuk Seri Ong Tee Keat refused to comment on the Youth wing’s decision, saying that it was not his policy to “remark on another person’s decision.”

“It is not my practice to comment on the decision made by others,” he told a press conference at the party headquarters here.

The party’s remaining central CC members are currently meeting to discuss on whether or not the MCA AGM, scheduled for tomorrow and Sunday, will be continued after 21 of its members officially quit yesterday.

Ong, who is desperately clinging to power, was dealt with massive blow yesterday when his ally Datuk Seri Dr Chua Soi Lek announced his resignation along with seven others.

Add this to Liow’s and the resignations of 12 others, there are a total of 21 resignations, or two-thirds of the central committee, which are now enough under the MCA constitution to trigger new elections which must be held within a month.

Dr Chua had indirectly demanded for the weekend’s AGM to be postponed in light of the bloc resignations while Liow said it was up to the party leadership to decide.

Wong, speaking to the media prior to the CC meeting, said it will decide if the AGM will be held or not.

He also said that under the constitution, one of the remaining elected 10 CC members will be appointed to conduct the polls.

Ong was vague when asked about the call to postpone the AGM.

“People can speculate about this and that but everyone knows that we have to abide by the party constitution,” he said, smiling.

WKS - The multi-million dollar man

Deputy Education Minister Wee Ka Siong is a Super Rich man. Everyone knows about his ties with Super Tycoon, Tiong King Sing, who built - and messed up - the PKFZ to the tune of RM12.5 billion. But just how rich is Wee Ka Siong?

Intelligence gathered from the swelling number of "little birds" who have started to see through the hypocrite MCA Youth head, show he has amassed sinful amount of money. Intelligence searches show his banking accounts alone have RM4.2 million in cold hard cash.

For example, in Maybank, he has 34 accounts, the bulk of it is in current account, which enables him to easily issue cheques to cronies, repay debts of gratitude and buy support. The balance in the current accounts ranges from RM22,00-odd to over RM700,000.

Some basic search has yielded the following:

(There are 2 easy ways to verify that the Maybank accounts above are genuine. First is to go to any Maybank cash deposit machines and key in those numbers, which can be done by anyone, not only those with Maybank accounts. "Wee Ka Siong" will appear as account holder. Only for account number 514123155605, "Wee Ka Keng" will appear. He is Ka Siong's sibling who has been mandated to carry out any transactions on Ka Siong's behalf. Ka Siong remains as account holder.

The 2nd method is for those with Maybank2u accounts. After logging in, on the pretext of doing a 3rd party funds transfer, key in the account numbers. The same name will appear. Just click "Cancel" to cease the transfer of funds. Wee Ka Siong doesn't need your money as he's filthy rich.)

More banking details here:

Now, the question is how did Ka Siong amass that much of money? As a Deputy Minister he only earns RM10,847.65, while as an MP, he earns RM6,508.59. See details here . His total salary a month would then be RM17,356.24. Assuming he doesn't touch a single cent from his pay, he would take 2,400-odd months to hit RM4.2 million. But WKS has been Deputy Minister-cum-MP for only 24 months!!

Even if you consider his earnings before he became a Deputy Minister, that's still an awful lot of money that cannot be accounted for. Was he earning that much more before he joined politics? If so, what was so alluring about politics that he took such a massive pay cut? OR, did he become rich BECAUSE he is in politics?

Is Wee Ka Siong being funded by outsiders? Is Tiong King Sing funding Wee Ka Siong's war chest?

The RM4.2 million is just the tip of the iceberg. These are accounts registered under HIS name. Surely he has accounts registered under his proxies. Would anyone believe otherwise? Would anyone even imagine that these proxy accounts have ONLY RM4.2 million? Or for that matter, would anyone believe that these proxy accounts have ONLY RM42 million???

But if he thinks that he can hide, then he is dead wrong. Watch this space for more... It will hit you like a tonne of bricks.

Bei Tahan ! What is Wee trying to do ? extort , kidnap , or what ?

Not everyone got a secret hideout like you, you know? Who's paying for your secret hideout in Berjaya Times Square Hotel? Looks like this thug Wee has some sinister plans up his sleeve . Maybe in cahoots with some triads and underworld MCA members who support him !

KUALA LUMPUR - It appears that deputy Eduction minister Wee Ka Siong has got himself in trouble again with philanthropist Robert Phang.

The MCA Youth chief had allegedly used his position as Deputy Education Minister to called the headmaster of SJKC Jalan Davidson, where Robert Phang's son is studying to tell him (Wee) about the whereabouts of Phang and his family.

And this has got Phang so mad that he Phang has lodged a police report against Wee.

"There is no reason for him to do a secret inquiry about me and members of my family, when he can always contact me directly," Phang said in his report, lodged at the Jalan Tun Razak police station here in January.

Wee asked about a 'secret hideout'

Phang alleged that Wee had gone to the school to ask headmaster Pan Chung Ling about his (Phang's) and his family's movements.

"He asked where my family is staying and also asked where my secret hideout in the city was," alleged Phang.

"This type of inquiry is mala fide intrusion.

wee-ka-siong-robert-phang-sjkc-davidsonIf anything haappens to me and members of my family, I will totally hold him as the first suspect," added Phang.

"This type of act he is posing and causing looks like an intrusion of my privacy," he said, accusing Wee of abusing his power as a deputy Education minister by contacting and asking the headmaster about his (Phang's) movements.

Phang , who is a panel advisor of the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) stressed that he was making the police report because it had caused fear in him and his family.

He appealed to the authorities concerned to investigate Wee and his intention.

"My family and I need protection for our safety," he added.

'Why does he need the info?'

To plan for the construction of more Chinese schools? Or to make Malaysian students score better grades in Science and Maths?"

"Why must you call the headmaster direct? Education Ministry officials cannot do their background check, is it? Must show your power, is it? Want to scare people, is it?"

This is clearly an abuse of power and trying to intimidate and cause fear to Tan Sri Robert Phang and family.

Here's a new website :

Wee Ka Siong Unmasked

Documents to proof Wee Ka Siong LIED!!

In early January, an MCA Youth leader asked Wee Ka Siong if he would resign if there were evidence to prove that any of his staff had worked for Tiong King Sing. The full statement is available here (see query No. 5).

But that Wee fella did not respond to the query. Because HE IS A FREAKING COWARD!! He got no balls because they are being held by Tiong King Sing!!

On 31 December 2009, Wee said in NST that none of his staff had ever worked for Tiong.

Here is proof that he LIED. EPF statements below show that his political secretary in the Ministry of Education, Lim Ching Hao, was working for Tiong.

Check out the EPF employer number. He used to work for Tiong. And it’s not any of Tiong’s companies. BUT, Kuala Dimensi Sdn Bhd, the turnkey contractor for PKFZ!!

What some more you want, Ka Siong? Go ahead and say you were misquoted? Or try to lie to the press like how you told them that you did not own any shares in Hijau Sekitar Sdn Bhd. BUT when official records caught you with your pants down, say “no lah.I divested controlling stake only.” You are born to lie.

How to hide now? Wee Ka Siong, you ARE a LIAR!!! You ARE Tiong King Sing’s running dog!! woof woof woof!!!

But if you think the documents above are damaging, wait till you see more…

Check out future posting which will contain more damaging documents about Wee Ka Siong.

Phang to settle 'unfinished business'

Lets wait for wednesday and see what tricks the fat monkey will come up with this time !

Saturday, 27 February 2010 00:00

KUALA LUMPUR - Following a recent legal victory that freed him from being muzzled, Robert Phang is set to settle some "unfinished business" next week.

The 70-year-old philantrophist intends to pick up where he had left off at the Maya Hotel in Jalan Ampang here on Jan 21, following an ex-parte injunction that was dramatically handed to him during a press conference there.

"There's more to come. We'll tend to unfinished business," Phang told Malaysian Mirror.

Phang, who has been in a war of words with MCA Youth chief Wee Ka Siong over the PKFZ scandal, said he will continue to speak on the matter, despite being sued by Wee.

He intends to hold a fresh press conference at the hotel on Wednesday.

Another brush with political drama

At the media meeting on Jan 21, representatives from the law firm of Mah-Kamariyah and Philip Koh stopped Phang 15 minutes into the conference and handed him an ex-parte injunction. The injunction was effective for 21 days.

However, on Feb 11, High Court Judge Prasad Sandosham Abraham dismissed Wee’s application for a temporary extension (ad interim) of the injunction, foiling the MCA Youth chief's legal bid to prevent Phang and Star Publications – which was named as second defendant – from further publishing alleged defamatory statements linking him (Wee) to the Port Klang scandal.

Basically, there is no order restraining Phang from speaking until March 10, when the court will hear the inter parte injunction between the parties.

Phang is represented by Gobind Singh Deo and Ang Hean Leng, while Wee, who is also deputy Education Minister, is represented by Ben Chan.

The aborted press conference was not Phang's first brush with political drama played out publicly.

On Jan 11, a live interview on Bernama TV ended prematurely after producers pulled the plug on a talk show, in which Phang was a guest.

pkfz-wee-robertForty minutes in, producers of the Hello Malaysia talk show apparently pulled the plug when Phang started mentioning Wee and the PKFZ scandal.

An admission by Wee

Phang, in his capacity as consultative and anti-corruption panelist of the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission, maintains that it is his "statutory duty" to urge the authorities to step up its probe into the PKFZ scandal.

This came after Wee admitted that his former consultancy firm Hijau Sekitar Sdn Bhd had been engaged by Wijaya Baru Sdn Bhd to produce a feasibility study for the expansion of Port Klang.

Wee said his former company was only tasked to carry out a conceptual study for Port Klang and that no fee was charged.

Wijaya Baru is owned by Tiong King Sing, the CEO of PKFZ turnkey developer Kuala Dimensi Sdn Bhd.

'Nothing dramatic in what I say'

Phang, who chairs the Social Care Foundation, said he still "urges" Wee to appear as a witness in the invesgations into the financial scandal, which at last count amounted to RM4.6bil in losses.

Asked on Wee's legal team's failed bid for an interim injunction, Phang said, "There was nothing dramatic in what I was saying, what I had been repeatedly been saying.

"I was calling for Wee to step forward after he admitted that he served on the board of a company that was linked to the scandal."

"In any case, I will continue to speak as my previous encounter with the press was interrupted," said Phang.

On how he felt about the injunction being overturned, Phang said: “We want people to come forward to assist the PKFZ investigations.

"There was nothing illegal in what I was doing. Invesgations must be done thoroughly,” added Phang. - Malaysian Mirror

PKFZ: Wee's nightmare arises again

MCA Youth chief fails to extend gag order against critic

By Shazwan Mustafa Kamal

KUALA LUMPUR, Feb 11 — The High Court here has rejected MCA Youth Chief Datuk Dr. Wee Ka Siong’s application to extend a temporary gag order on Tan Sri Robert Phang, who had linked the deputy education minister to the Port Klang Free Zone (PKFZ) scandal.

“Today the judge has dismissed the interim injunction pending the hearing for application for injunction on an inter-parte basis on March 10,” Phang’s lawyer Gobind Singh Deo told reporters.

The lawyer declined to provide further details, as the matter was discussed in chambers but noted that the case was “argued in full”.

It is understood that the original injunction was made back on Jan 21 to stop Phang for having a press conference the next day about Wee’s alleged involvement with contractors linked to the PKFZ. Phang, who sits on a Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) advisory panel, had his scheduled press conference abruptly cut short when lawyers representing Wee barged into the room to serve a court injunction on him.

The purpose of the press conference was, according to Phang, to “urge” Wee to come forward and assist with the on-going PKFZ investigations.

But he was stopped by the injunction, which barred Phang “having a press conference from the date of Jan 22 and after with the similar agenda of calling or suggesting that the plaintiff (Wee) was a ‘bully’, ‘liar’ or ‘coward’.”

The words used were in reference to a media invitation sent out a day earlier for the press conference.

The injunction was effective for 21 days. Besides Phang, the MCA-owned English-language daily, The Star, was also served with the same injunction.

Wee’s lawyers today sought to apply for a temporary extension (ad interim) of the injunction until March 10, where presiding judge Dr. Prasad Sandosham Abraham will hear on an inter-parte basis on whether to grant a full injunction pending the completion of the actual trial.

Wee had also filed a defamation suit against Phang and The Star but no dates have yet been set for the hearing.

With the court’s rejection today, the outspoken Phang can speak about Wee’s alleged links to the PKFZ until the March 10 when the court decides on the inter-parte injunction.

“It is my statutory duty to invite members of the public to assist the MACC into investigations,” Phang told reporters today after the matter was adjourned.

An MACC report had been lodged against Wee some time back by Seremban MP John Fernandez who claimed that MCA youth chief had a conflict of interest doing work for the PKFZ while being the deputy education minister.

Fernandez had claimed that Wee should be investigated for any improprieties in his ministerial conduct and also the status of his shareholdings in consultancy firm Hijau Sekitar Sdn Bhd, claiming that the MCA leader remained a susbtantial shareholder despite his denials.

Wee’s consultancy, together with four other firms, had been commissioned by Wijaya Baru Sdn Bhd to do a study on the need for port development in Port Klang. Wijaya Baru is the parent company of Kuala Dimensi Sdn Bhd, which was in charge of the controversial billion-ringgit PKFZ project.

Kuala Dimensi is headed by Tiong King Sing, who is also the Bintulu MP. Wee had declared last Dec 24 that while Hijau Sekitar provided consultancy work on Port Klang it did not do any work on the PKFZ project.

Oh the WEE BULLSHITTER again can believe him , can eat shit as well !

Just the facts please

MCA Youth chief and deputy education minister Datuk Dr Wee Ka Siong tells Terence Fernandez and Llew-Ann PhanG his game plan to ward off personal, political attacks: state the truth and lay bare the facts.

Can you explain your involvement in Hijau Sekitar Sdn Bhd?
I said from day one (that) I had to comply with regulations – code of ethics for members of the administration. First, I resigned after 12 days of my appointment. Meaning, I have no executive power. Second, I cannot practise – my name should not be there. I did that. Even for any company signatories, even cheque signatories I have quit, okay? The third – to let go (of) my controlling stake. I did that, I sold to another partner. Now, they may say that I have over 40% but I am not a major shareholder. So, whatever the company does has nothing to do with me. My name should not be there , ah ha but its there ! What have you got to say to the SSM listing your name as having 49,999 shares in Hijau Sekitar ?

I must show you these … (shows documents). This is what I said about (Tan Sri) Robert Phang’s SMS, why afraid to sue? Clear doubts (shows newspaper clippings) … All these people suddenly become page four (news). Suddenly they become so important with photo and all. This is my partner, he wrote a very good article … (shows a letter to the editor). He’s one of the founders and chairman of the company. We don't want to see the documents but we want you to see the SSM document with your name in there ! We also don't want to know what your partner wrote , we don't know him but we know you . Chairman , Tableman , CEO or OEC director , producter , nothing to do with us , we only know Cry Baby Wee

The public and your political enemies don’t disregard the fact that your work has nothing to do with PKFZ but it is the link to Kuala Dimensi Sdn Bhd (KDSB).
No link! Wijaya Baru is not the parent company of this one … Wijaya Baru Holdings is. They tried to link – they’re very smart. They put Wijaya Baru as the parent company and kept silent on the word "holdings". We know they’re going to play these tricks. No link ? but Lim Kit Siang and many others think so ! Oh you are also very smart , what with holdings and the other without ! You must have thought about it !

At the end of the day, if you look at it, all roads lead to Rome. (Datuk Seri) Tiong (King Sing) is at the apex.
Is it wrong for me to know him? I like this phrase (in Wee’s partner’s letter) "we pride ourselves to always act professionally and hold to the motto an honest day’s work for an honest day’s pay". It does not mean that if any of our clients is in a legal dispute, we, the consultant, ought to be viewed in the same manner. I think this is the real case. Just like PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) in the 90s, they were the external auditor. Subsequently, they were invited for another project engaged by the Port Klang Authority (PKA) to investigate. We cannot use the same analogy and criticise PwC. Oh so finally you admit Tiong is your good friend , oh I see , its not wrong for you to know him since birds of a feather flock together .

It’s like a thorn in your side through no fault of yours?
I can only make this conclusion. I should explain why I took this course of action (injunction against Phang). It was because the night before (Phang’s press conference), I received a fax that he called me a bully, coward and a liar. I think it is too much. I called my lawyer and prepared all the documents. They went to court and within 15 minutes they were granted the court order to stop it. The purpose of stopping the press conference was because it was defamatory in nature. The title itself. Second, we have to force him to produce evidence. He tried to link (as if) I’ve got something to hide that’s why I have to stop (him). Only those who are guilty will resort to these actions ! No you are not a bully coward or a liar , you are just a plain arsehole with a mentally retarded brain which is not functioning . Wonder whether you are a liar or Robert Phang is ? Looks like I trust Phang rather than one who stabs his boss from behind .

(If you have evidence) you talk to (the) court. You prove it to the judge. I’d rather it be transparent this way than (to) discuss openly and it’s not a fact.

Secondly, after I obtained the court injunction, he sent out those documents and called opposition MPs ... some of them called me. I’m thankful to the opposition MPs who read the materials sent to them. A majority think it has nothing to do with me. It’s not PKFZ and they are more convinced when they read the report. They can’t even find the word PKFZ in the report. They are independent, they know how to study the case and they don’t jump the gun or do not want to be used by any party. But with regard to the report lodged by Seremban MP John Fernandez, he’s entitled to his right. Perhaps I didn’t have a chance to explain to him or maybe he listened to only one side but I won’t blame him.Wah Opposition MPs also can call you , so you must have the one supplying all the false information to them about your boss OTK ? Opposition MPs so stupid one ah ? Cannot even find the word PKFZ in the report when all of us , no need see report can also know its connected to PKFZ ? MP John Fernandez has to listen to only one side ? Who are you kidding Mr Asst.Brutus ? He cannot see for himself meh ? kanasei ! got to listen to only one side meh ? siow ! kong siow wah , chi sin fei chai ! MP John Fernandez report is very precise , that until today you have not refuted that you still owned 49,999 shares in Hijau Sekitar Sdn Bhd as according to the SSM print out in 2010 .

I can understand why they (opponents) want to do this. Should the (MCA) elections be held in one or two months, they want to make sure that I’ll be out of the picture. I cannot tolerate this. I must take stern action and I want the court to give me a fair hearing. What cock are you talking ? one minute say want fresh elections , next minute say you are scared they want to make sure you'll be out of the picture ! Go and polish your Moohiding's balls .

So your reputation and political future are at stake.
They want to kill me. They want to tarnish my image. But I’m not afraid. I’ve not committed any wrong. I can even show you my declaration. I’m transparent. I’ve reported all that I’ve done. This were legitimate earnings when I was not holding any office. This is one of the hundred(s) of projects that I’ve had since 1992. After I was appointed as deputy minister, within 12 days I resigned as director and within a month I forgoed my majority interest. That is in accordance to the regulations. I complied fully with the regulations set by the Prime Minister’s Department. I know that the political motive is clear. This only happened after 10-10; the first MCA EGM.Ai yah ! You got reputation meh ? Your reputation stinks and sucks ! Want to tarnish your image meh ? Where got image ? the only image you have is that of too pak kuei ! You are transparent ? My foot ! If you have transparency you should have let Robert Phang carry on with his press conference without interference ! Ya maybe the real sense of transparent is correct , all of us cannot see you , tai um to , you are invisible , nowhere to be seen ! Cannot tahan this shit guy talking about reputation , image and transparent , when he has none at all especially from a guy who sells off his boss and back stab his President , while looking and collaborating with his UMNO boss to rid his President .

I’ve got nothing to do with PKFZ. Again and again I’ve stressed this. Don’t mix up the two. One is about land development; one talks about port design. These are different things. We are talking of kang tao , lah !

The perception is that you’re being used by Tiong to attack (Datuk Seri Ong) Tee Keat politically.
I don’t discuss my political things with Tiong. We are from different parties. The only thing is we are from Barisan Nasional. I’m not interested in his party and I want mutual respect. That’s my principle. So if they want to link me with Tiong – that’s only for one reason. To divert attention. You have never discuss political things with Tiong ? , who you want to bluff ? See caught you with your pants down , no one ask you whether you dicuss MCA matters with Tiong , but the question is have you discuss political things with Tiong ? You use his plane , he is the BBC chairman and you want to how seow you never discuss political things with him ? about BN ?, about PKR ? about DAP ? about the political situation in the country ? about OTK ? about Pak Lah before he resigned ? wah lan wei , you are really a bullshitt cock !

Is it right to say that PKFZ and the personality clashes between Tiong and Ong had encroached into MCA and had played a part in what’s happening today?
PKFZ is a government matter. As a member of the administration, I champion transparency, anti-corruption. The campaign should be continued to fight corruption. Even on July 16, if I’m not mistaken, I called one political bureau of MCA Youth. At that time it was the PKFZ thing. And we openly supported Tee Keat without fear and favour to expose PKFZ should there be any wrongdoing. You champion what ? transparency , anti corruption ? Damned thick skin like the rhinocerous hide !

On Aug 15, we invited the president to explain to MCA Youth leaders the tussle between him and Tiong – that he was alleged to have taken RM10 million. And again, we passed a resolution to support Tee Keat through a proper legal channel, to lodge a report against Tiong or take legal action against Tiong. These two episodes – if any MCA leader says we’re not vocal enough, I think these two prove it.

You can check on July 16 and Aug 15. Made known to everybody. Published in the newspapers. But they expected me to say that: "Oh! Ong Tee Keat is innocent!" Not to that extent … Sorry. I didn’t say that because that would be sub judice. So if people expected me to say that, I (wouldn’t). All these things happened after I disagreed with Tee Keat.

You’re an easy target because your previous business matters have come to light.
I will give you an example. Datuk Seri Nizar (Jamaluddin) used to receive contracts from Barisan Nasional from 2004 to 2008 doing air-cond servicing for the whole building (in Putrajaya). Can you link or say anything that this is a crony (contract)? Cannot! Because Nizar is a qualified engineer. And if Nizar or whoever or any lawyer did a sale and purchase agreement for anybody who eventually became a conman, it doesn’t mean you’re a conman? We’re not "con-sultants"! I cannot prejudge what’s going to happen in five years. In this case, at that material time we did not know this fiasco (would happen)? Engineering, I can calculate but things that happen beyond my control … be fair. It’s not that I don’t want to debate. More like a conmansultant . Consultant to conman . how to con MCA members !

From day one I never denied. I can ask my secretary to show the one-hour press conference in my video on DVD.You got DVD also ? any one like the CSL DVD type ? there was a report about you and one China dragon student , any DVD on that ?

I said any question they wanted to ask, please ask. I have nothing to hide. I showed this report. At that time I could not tell the title of the report and the content because I said I needed to get the consent of the others. Now it seems that it’s already been circulated, I’m thankful to my opponent. Otherwise, I have to get permission to tell everybody. So what is going to secure your position in MCA? By fighting with Tiong and supporting Tee Keat publicly? They want me to, but Tiong – I’ve no reason to support him because we’re not in the same party. Secondly, he’s a Barisan Nasional
colleague. That was after you stab your President from behind , does it make any difference ?

Maybe they want you to say "stop attacking my president".
I think many people analyse it this way. Put it this way, there is some truth in this but they’ve not made it public. They already saw him stabbing his president from the back already lah ! stop attacking or stob stabbing ?

Do you think Tee Keat is unhappy that people like yourself, all those who are now considered outcasts, as far as he is concerned, were not quick enough to defend him when Tiong made those allegations?
Cannot. Within four walls, I know what happened so I cannot tell. But I’m glad that some of the Opposition MPs are not the conventional politicians. They read, analyse and they know what happened. More so when they are in Public Accounts Committee, they have read the PwC report. Which one mentioned my name or my former company’s name? None!

So until today, in my affidavit to the court, I’ve not been investigated by any authority. Unless somebody tomorrow wants to lodge a report so that I can be called, that’s a different story. But at that material time, when I did my affidavit, no such thing. Hello MACC howcome a report has been made against him and yet he claims he has not been investigated ? true or not ? MACC

They cannot get to you legally, so they use these insinuations to attack you politically?
Yeah, true … I can even show you. This is interesting. I sold my shares on April 14. I resigned (as director) on March 31, 2008. I was appointed (as deputy minister) on March 19. I attached all these so that I have nothing to hide. I just want to show you even some of the shares I bought 15 years ago, I also declared. In 1992, I brought shares from Shangri-La for 1,000. I had forgotten already. Now it’s only how much? I put all this in.Kanasei , bull again SSM says you still have 49,999 shares in Hijau Sekitar Sdn Bhd as of January 2010 . Still have not yet answered how come his name is listed in the SSM print out ! This guy is worst than a eel , you ask him a question , he answers telling you cock and bull story .

When this thing first broke, you would have foreseen that they were going to try link you and Tiong. You would have thought "before this thing comes out; I better make a pre-emptive strike and declare everything, say yes, we did do consultancy for Tiong’s company but nothing to do with PKFZ"
But at that time, Kuala Dimensi was not my paymaster. It was Wijaya Baru Holdings – there’s no connection unless it’s Wijaya Baru Global Bhd. Same also lah don't bluff , money come from same source , like your father give money to your mother who give the money to your sister to give the money to you and you saythe money not from your father but given by your sister ! what the fuck ?

As everything is above board. Wouldn’t it have been better to say all these first, to kill your opponents?
No, we didn’t know how they were going to attack us. I couldn’t imagine when you talk about port, shoreline development, how to link to PKFZ … It doesn’t make any sense. Even in the earlier allegation saying that I was at the site and bullied all the sub-contractors. I’ve not been to PKFZ. All lies! I cannot pre-empt (but) if I could (foresee), I would have said it.

But on hindsight, do you think you should have done it?
If I knew they were going to say this, from Day One I have to declare! And at that time, if I could get the Transport Ministry approval, I was going to invite the press, we already prepared this (the report) to make it known to the public. Because I would rather have the ministry approve it so we can go for ministry, there’s a public hearing? For a detailed EIA you have to advertise (claps once). If that one can be done (thumps table), it’s already in the public domain. Followed by all this later on. It’s like when I want to explain to people, you come to my office, I will show you everything. That’s why I bring this (pointing to documents and reports) everywhere I go. I have to tell everybody this is th e case. I told my lawyer, I’ve got nothing to hide, you can check. I’ve checked with my former auditors how much the company took from Wijaya.

Even the presentation to Transport Ministry, I wasn’t around. They only limited it to a few consultants, those in the relevant fields. Why I became the lead consultant is because I have got a PhD in transport planning ... EIA consultant since 1992. Before I left this company, I had projects in Brunei and Singapore. And now the clients are asking my partner what happened to the company? Terrible you know! My partner got fed up. It’s better to do work outside Malaysia. We were never involved in the scandal. And PKFZ, that’s why one day I challenged Tee Keat to please expose all my EIA reports. Marine Department – every EIA report since 1992 – take out! You can have a proper screening. But I don’t know, the company may have something to do with Tiong which I don’t think so. Sometimes this ABC company after selling 10 times to this company and that company … Maybe a proxy bought it, I don’t know. You can check.

You and Tiong became youth chiefs of your parties around the same time, right?
We all sat in the BN Youth with (Datuk Seri) Hishammuddin (Hussein) from 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008 and he became the Barisan Nasional Backbencher Club chairman (BNBBC). You tell me that I can deny that I know him? (chuckles) Cannot.

How is your relationship with Tiong?
Are you distancing yourself?
We meet only in Parliament.

You do not want to be seen with him because your enemies will misinterpret it?
I have nothing to hide. In Parliament, we sit together and drink tea, what’s wrong with that?

What are you going to do now, apart from dealing with your lawyers? Do you think you need to convince the members?
I have full confidence in the delegates so I have to do all kinds of detox. I know they are putting poison in everyday so I have to fix it. I think the truth will prevail. In this case, I’m hoping that the court can go for a full trial or can call all parties and ask them to produce evidence of my involvement.

How do you feel about the label Brutus?
I don’t know whether Tee Keat realises, his relationship with the top leaders and fellow ministers. He needs to gain the confidence of the members. MCA president is not just doing AirAsia or KTM. There are community issues. This is more important. Don't sidetrack the answer answer straight how do you feel about the label Brutus ? Nevermind I answer for you ! Correctly applied !

You had a very good working relationship with Tee Keat.
Until 10-10.Back stabbing him all the time until it was exposed !

Then you were labelled Brutus and you, (Wanita chief Datin Paduka Chew) Mei Fun and (vice-president Datuk Seri Liow) Tiong Lai all became persona non grata to him.
Sad. Serves us right for being Brutus !

Anyway of a reconciliation?
No. If he loves this party, he has to go for a re-election. For that matter, he has to seek the mandate from the central delegates. Now you think he’s running the party? Is he the real president? No way I am scared I will lose if the re-election also affects the Youth Wing . So now I am only calling for a MCA re-election , No Youth or Wanita re-election ..otherwise I lose my pants !

Who is running the MCA?
The deputy ministers, youth chief, wanita chief are not in the presidential council, what do you expect? Are you talking about matters to be tabled in the cabinet the next day or are you just chit-chatting? You can choose. You can get Tom, Dick and Harry to become council members but are you convinced that matters are brought up to the cabinet. I don’t look down on these people but when you serve in the ministry, you know certain things need to be raised so your feedback or information that you receive will warrant you to talk to the higher authorities so it can be resolved at the highest authority and subsequently the agency executes the decision.I am the only guy who has creditability , the rest are all Tom Dick and Harry including Boh Liow !

Media Statement by Mr David Choi (徐祥强), MCA Youth National Public Complaints Bureau Deputy Chairman and MCA Indra Mahkota Youth chief, on 10 February 2010

MCA's Deputy Education Minister Wee Ka Siong is either a thorougly-confused man or thinks that he can hoodwink the public through doublespeak. In February 3 edition of The Sun newspaper (http://www.sun2surf.com/article.cfm?id=43057) he admitted to being questioned by the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) over the activities of his company, Hijau Sekitar Sdn Bhd.

According to The Sun report, which was also corroborated by The Star article dated February 4 (http://thestar.com.my/news/story.asp?file=/2010/2/4/nation/5611448&sec=nation), the MACC probe into Hijau Sekitar is part of a wider investigations into the RM12.5 billion Port Klang Free Zone scandal.

According to official records, Wee owns 49,998 shares in Hijau Sekitar, with company directors Lim Kit Siong and Wong Woon Ping holding 50,001 shares and one share, respectively.

But what is perplexing is that on Feb 4, Wee denied that the probe was ongoing! In fact, according to the China Press, Wee answered "no" six times when asked by the media whether MACC had gone to his office and took away files pertaining to Hijau Sekitar.

The stark conflict in what was reported in the English media and the vernacular press begs the question of whether Wee was speaking in forked tongue. Was Wee attempting to pull wool over the public's eye? If Wee is under MACC probe and already had his statements taken by the MACC, why did he try to create the impression otherwise in the vernacular press? If Wee was not under MACC probe and had not been interviewed by the MACC over Hijau Sekitar's involvement, why did he keep his silence and allow MCA's image to take a beating for being one of the few, if any, MCA Deputy Minister to be investigated for graft in recent times?

I have been patiently waiting and hoping for Wee to clear the air over the conflicting views over the past week or so. When none was forthcoming, I now feel compelled to challenge Wee to sue the press for gross misreporting. Both versions of the conflicting articles cannot be right at the same time. Since one is wrong, Wee should sue the media organisations which carried the erroneous news.

After all, Wee is no stranger to using harsh methods to deal with the press. Recently, he ordered his lawyers to storm into an ongoing media conference by an MACC commissioner and slapped him with a court injunction, bringing the press conference to an abrupt halt. Wee had also filed a suit against an established newspaper.

Failing to do sue only means admission of doublespeak on Wee's part, which will only hurt his image even further. Wee's reputation has already taken a plunge after being forced to admit about owning shares in Hijau Sekitar although he had earlier said that he had divested the shares. Worse still, the admission only came after an MCA leader publicly spilled the beans following a Companies Commission of Malaysia search.

Wee denies quit claims, slams Jeff Ooi

KUALA LUMPUR - The in-fighting in the Pakatan Rakyat has taken another notch with Wangsa Maju MP Wee Choo Keong threatening to sue fellow parliamentarian Jeff Ooi over a newspaper speculation.

The report in an English daily, which was translated from a Chinese vernacular paper, had quoted Ooi, the Jelutong MP, as saying that four reps from the three-party Pakatan Rakyat would be defecting within 20 days.

wee choo keong 2Ooi, from the DAP, said two of the MPs would be from Penang but he did not name them. Neither did he name the other two.

The report, however, speculated Wee (pic) is among the four and it also named Kelana Jaya MP Loh Gwo Burne as being one of the others.

The two Penang MPs

The report speculated that the Penang MPs who would quit are Zahrain Mohamad Hashim (Bayan Baru) and Tan Tee Beng (Nibong Tebal), who are both at loggerheads with DAP secretary-general and Penang Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng.

The two face disciplinary action for openly criticising Lim and purportedly going against the co-operative spirit of the Pakatan, the PKR, DAP and PAS.

Zahrain had labelled Guan Eng a “dictator, chauvinist and communist-minded”, while Tan said Lim was a "no class" leader, a disgrace to the state and its people and should be removed.

Wee, a lawyer and a former DAP parliamentarian, denied the claims in the tabloid report about his planned resignation to join a Barisan Nasional party and accused Ooi of dragging him into a controversy.

He described the move as “the politics of McCarthyism”, in reference to a former United States senator who was blamed for the country’s witch hunt against suspected communists in the 1950s.

“This is the innate behavior of DAP leaders; playing the ‘politics of tagging’ whenever its leaders are faced with problem.

“This style of low-class politics can carry on in the DAP for all I care, but must be stopped in Pakatan if we are serious in wanting to see a change of government at the 13th general election,” he said.

Wee said he would pursue legal action against Ooi if the latter did not retract what he said within 48 hours.

A smear campaign instead of resolving problems

"They start a smear campaign to accuse others of being Barisan Nasional agents, instead of addressing the real problems," he told a press conference at his office in Wangsa Maju here Friday.

“I don’t like to sue politicians and newspapers but am left with no alternative if Ooi does not retract what he told the paper within 48 hours.

“I have constantly refused to make any comments although, deep down in my heart, I am in full agreement with what have been stated by my colleagues in the PKR,” he said.

He claimed that PKR reps in Penang were treated like step-children by the DAP, and the complaints by his colleagues against Lim should be investigated. - Malaysian Mirror

Wee quizzed

Wee quizzed by MACC over PKFZ fiasco
Terence Fernandez

PUTRAJAYA (Feb 2, 2010): Deputy Education Minister Datuk Wee Ka Siong spent 3½ hours being quizzed by the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) today on matters regarding the activities of a consultancy firm he co-owns.

Wee Ka Siong

It is understood that while the questioning was more on the business activities of Hijau Sekitar Sdn Bhd, the probe is also part of the MACC’s wider investigations into the Port Klang Free Zone (PKFZ) issue.

At least two MACC officers entered Wee’s office in Presint 1 here at 9.30am and left at 1pm carrying files of documents with them.

According to a source, although it has been established that Hijau Sekitar did not do any work with regards to the free zone, the commission was acting on a report lodged by Seremban MP John Fernandez on Jan 26, where he said Wee should be investigated for alleged impropriety because of his company’s links with PKFZ turnkey contractor Kuala Dimensi Sdn Bhd (KDSB).

KDSB is a subsidiary of Wijaya Baru Sdn Bhd which had, in 2005, commissioned Hijau Sekitar to do an environmental impact assessment (EIA) and other studies with regards to the development of a third port.

theSun front-paged a report yesterday that in the midst of the unravelling of the PKFZ fiasco, the Transport Ministry had agreed in principal in 2006 to the development of another port spanning Pulau Carey and Pulau Indah.

Wee said he is giving his full cooperation and that he even gave copies of documents to the officers.

The MACC had last month introduced a gag order on its officers and the media from discussing on-going investigations.

"I have nothing to hide and will assist the authorities in any way they wish," he said, declining to elaborate because of the on-going investigations.

Latest company records show that Wee owns 49,998 shares in Hijau Sekitar, with company directors Lim Kit Siong and Wong Woon Ping holding 50,001 shares and one share, respectively.

Meanwhile, Port Klang Authority (PKA) chairman Datuk Lee Hwa Beng said plans for a third port never materialised.

"Yes, there was a proposal under the previous management of the PKA but it never took off. From what I know, the studies for the third port never got beyond the discussion stage," he said, when contacted.

Lee said it was an inappropriate time for the PKA to even think of going into another mega-development project when it was still reeling from the financial disaster of the PKA, which had ballooned from an initial cost of RM1.8 billion to a projected price tag of RM12.5 billion.

" No, no third port. Not under my watch," he said. -- theSun

DAP Senator Tunku Aziz quick Apology

Aziz's super-quick apology and Wee's interest in Port Klang Share

Friday, 29 January 2010 17:33

mirrorinboxDAP vice-chairman Senator Tunku Abdul Aziz's super-quick apology to MCA Youth chief Dr Wee Ka Siong is perplexing.

Just one phone call from Wee and the Senator changes his mind and apologises over his comments about Wee's links with the Port Klang Free Zone (PKFZ).

Either Tunku Aziz had made a rash statement resulting in his apology or he has suddenly lost his nerves to pursue a matter of public interest to its end.

wee-ka-siong-tunku-abd-azizTunku Aziz should be reminded that he is now a Senator and therefore he must verify the basic accuracy of his statements. Likewise, he must also exercise more care and caution when making an apology so that the people are spared the confusion.

On the PKFZ multi-billion-ringgit fiasco, Wee has repeatedly claimed that he had relinquished his share in consultancy firm Hijau Sekitar Sdn Bhd, after he was appointed deputy education minister.

Hijau Sekitar, together with four other firms, was commissioned by Wijaya Baru Sdn Bhd to do a study on the need for port development in Port Klang. Wijaya Baru is the parent company of Kuala Dimensi Sdn Bhd, the turnkey contractor of the controversial PKFZ project.

Wee has also repeatedly claimed that the survey had nothing to do with PKFZ. Isn't PKFZ part of Port Klang?

Now, in his bid to clear doubts over his links with the PKFZ, Wee says he had declared his assets to the prime minister – twice to Abdullah Ahmad Badawi and once to Najib Abdul Razak.

That is well and good.

But the main issue here is not about when he gave up his stake in Hijau Sekitar or whether he has declared his assets.

The doubt is about Hijau Sekitar's links with Kuala Dimensi Sdn Bhd, PKFZ's turnkey contractor.

Wee has taken pains to explain repeatedly that Hijau Sekitar's survey had nothing to do with PKFZ.

But Wee has amazingly avoided explaining why Kuala Dimensi Sdn Bhd, through its wholly owned Wijaya Baru Sdn Bhd, engaged his firm to do a study on the need for port development in Port Klang.

Isn't this the concern of the stakeholder, the Port Klang Authority?

Bearing in mind that the PKFZ is part of Port Klang, what were Kuala Dimensi Sdn Bhd and Hijau Sekitar's interests in Port Klang at that point of time?
