Karpal praises Chua’s courage and integrity
Coming from Karpal , this is the greatest insult to all right thinking Malaysians , but wait maybe this is what I have been saying all along , its easier to fight MCA with DVD actor as president then Ong Tee Keat . Imagine DAP praising a pornstar rather than heap praises on someone who exposed the PKFZ . This is hypocricy of the worst kind .Maybe Karpal should ask Chua to be his master and teacher in sex education ! hahaha
KUALA LUMPUR: DAP chairman Karpal Singh has expressed admiration for MCA president Datuk Seri Dr Chua Soi Lek’s courage to admit past mistakes and for having the integrity to give up his ministerial position.
He said Dr Chua had climbed his way back to the top after his reputation and image were at their lowest ebb.
“It is not easy for him and his family to go through their daily routine after DVDs of his sex scandal were circulated. We should leave the issue alone,” Karpal told The Star yesterday.
He said Dr Chua had the integrity to resign from his positions, including the post of Health Minister, after the scandal.
“He openly admitted that it was him. He could have denied it but he did not.
“Where politics is concerned, I think he deserves to be given credit.”
He added that Dr Chua’s mistake was a moral issue.
“Who is morally perfect?
“I believe we should let him pull through this,” Karpal said.
Karpal, who had granted a special interview to Oriental Daily on the same issue in conjunction with his 70th birthday celebrations recently, had described Dr Chua as a credible and courageous leader.
On former MCA president Datuk Seri Ong Tee Keat, Karpal said Ong had missed the chance to step down gracefully at the Oct 10 MCA EGM.
In conjunction with his 100th day as MCA president on Monday, Dr Chua spoke on how the party was shaping up to cope with the expectations of more educated, increasingly critical and demanding Malaysians.
Commenting on Karpal’s interview with the Chinese daily, MCA publicity bureau deputy chairman Loh Seng Kok said Dr Chua had performed well even without a ministerial post.
“Dr Chua is taking on various issues affecting the people, which are not just confined to the Chinese community,” he said.
Of course Karpal Singh want CSL to be MCA President. It is easy to kill MCA. If I were Karpal I would praise CSL to high stink.
ReplyDeleteDo not behave and think like a small child. Whether it is CSL or OTK, MCA will under extreme presure to perform in the next GE, failing which it will fade away. Pls not be so personal. If you remember from the time OTK got elected until CSL got expelled in 2009 August, OTK has done nothing at all. He cannot even put in place direct voting system. He talks more than he does, he speculates more than he rationalises. He is only interested to kill CSL and got himself killed instead. Who to blame?
