Leave MCA matters to MCA

We can handle and solve our own problems , we don't need you to be Kay Po Chi ..Puss off and Buss off

Hello Najib , Please be aware of this potential Brutus . A Brutus will always side another Brutus . A Brutus will always speak the language of the Brutus . Birds of a feather flock together !! He has shown his impatience when he repeatedly asked Pak Lah to step down . His actions are paramount to getting the Chinese to desert MCA and BN with his consistence interference . When in Rome he took Ong Tee Keat to task for Ong's Presidential Council reshuffle . Now he is at it again .

So YAB PM , better watch your back with this highly possible potential Brutus in sheep's hide within your inner circle.

TOKYO, Dec 7 — MCA leaders should come together and agree to a formula that will enable them to have fresh party polls or risk losing the confidence and trust of the Chinese community, Deputy Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin warned today.

“What is important is the interest of the party. Everyone has got their vested interest but the most important is the vested interest of the party. Otherwise, it will drag on too long and obvious consequences will be the loss of trust and confidence in the party,” he said.

Once that happened, it would be very difficult to regain the public confidence and trust, said Muhyiddin, who is on a four-day trade and investment mission.

The leaders should act en bloc while there was some hope and recourse to solve the impasse, he said when asked on the move by 13 MCA elected central committee members who had expressed their willingness to resign to pave the way for fresh party polls.

He said that only with the resignation of the members of the party’s central committee could fresh party polls be held according to the MCA constitution.

“Like it or not, they have to sacrifice so that the minimum requirement of two-thirds can be achieved,” he said.

He said all the MCA leaders, including president Datuk Seri Ong Tee Keat, deputy president Datuk Seri Dr Chua Soi Lek and vice-president Datuk Seri Liow Tiong Lai had their own influence in the MCA central committee.

“Even two-thirds is not good enough because the other one-third are not in favour. Therefore, ideally it should be en bloc resignation.

“Then, we enable the MCA delegates to decide the MCA’s future and not the MCA leaders only,” said Muhyiddin.

Asked if it was unfair for those who were not involved in the issue to resign, he said it was not an issue of fair or otherwise.

“If because I have no problem and I intend to remain (in the committee), this will not resolve the problem. Good leaders will be re-elected, that is democracy in the party.

“But if everyone says they don’t agree and there are differing opinions, it (the problem) will drag on and if there is no election, people will say that the Chinese community has lost confidence in the MCA,” added Muyhiddin. — Bernama

  3. Dpm is really interfering in MCA affairs. He wants fresh polls and asks all ccm to resign. What is he talking about? He is telling MCA that Armno is supreme in MCA and MCA leaders not to think of themselves but BN. Since when such bold move recorded. MCA is a goner if you can't defy Malay supremacy in MCA. Who is to be blamed? Wake up! A new era of new wave of Armno thinking pervading in component parties. What can be done now. Ask ...to go to hell and beat the shit out of ...Straighttalk

  4. Who in MCA can defend MCA ? Then that person should be President. If you want to bow down to others and be president then MCA will be licking boots throughout.

  7. Good to have fresh polls for all wings but liow and group must not retain positions because can't guarantee they don't make truble if retained. Any guarantee they will follow constitution and abide by new leadership? What about money politics? Can someone buy ccm for a few million or more. Will there be real democratic exercise of rights or irregularities

KUALA LUMPUR 8 Dis.

  11. If there's election for MCA fulfiling 2/3 requirement then voting exercise within 30 days, that's quick. There is no holding bathis back under the party constitition. So Liow and Co will go all out to get 2/3 hence the start silence like cancer eating away - beware! What else can possibly happen. It'll be a great surprise - a sunning shock to those who refuse and insist on GUP.

  12. Apart from the rights of ccm to decide resigning and to triggger fresh polls it is said that the kind of party crisis is not such as to warrant an election. It is not about inability to perform their duty at the ministry level, it is just a bunch of rebels making trouble for the party as a result of a conspiracy to rid their leader and it is this which must be paid more attention - axing the rebels and how to get the machinery going to rid them without causing more chaos. Hence instead of resigning from CC plans must be put in this relatively short peaceful period to judge the rebel. This makes more sense. It is behind the thnking of every cc members - just recollect the events the rebels drummed up after Oct 10. That won't eaisily be forgotten. As a backlash majority of CC should instead talking about fresh polls should insist getting rid of LTL rebellious clithe.

UMNO and MCA It is an open act of meddling in the affairs of others by Umno for asking all MCA central committee (CC) members to step down to pave way for fresh party elections.

This is a clear cut case of open interference on the part of the big brother on its other component parties.

Like it or not, the so called advice given by Deputy Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin recently smacks of direct poking of his nose in the affairs of MCA.

Muhyiddin who is on a special investment mission in Tokyo had told reporters there that the best solution was for the CC members to resign en-bloc to enable for a fresh election.

So far 13 CC members including MCA deputy president Dr Chua Soi Lek had expressed their willingness to resign to pave way for fresh party elections. However at least 20 of the 30 elected members would have to resign to make up the two-thirds required by the party constitution for fresh elections to be called.

What's your vested interest, Mr DPM?

Muhyiddin went further to say that : “Everybody has got their vested interest but the most important is the vested interest of MCA as a party.”

I sincerely hope the Umno deputy president has a heart for MCA and does not have any vested interest himself by telling all elected CC members to resign.

If you trace back the problem which triggered off the interference of Umno in MCA, it started shortly after the truce plan between party president Ong Tee Keat and his estranged deputy Chua Soi Lek had buried the hatchet and came up with the Greater Unity Plan.

And instead of accepting the plan as a solution to the party crisis, vice-president Liow Tiong Lai and his two allies, Youth chief Wee Ka Siong and Wanita chief Chew Mei Fun embarked on a crusade to stir up problems which eventually opened the doors to Umno to have an excuse to come in to resolve the long outstanding problem in the party.

With the exception of these three rebel leaders, the rest including vice presidents Kong Cho Ha, Dr Ng Yen Yen and the majority of the CC members gave their blessings to the plan.

With Ong and Chua each commanding almost half of the 2,380 delegates support, it would be hard for Liow to ever dream of surviving his quest for the No 1 or No 2 slot in the party hierarchy, if he so wishes to contest.

Then it is best that Liow state his stand now whether he would be contesting any of the top two positions since he appears to be grappling for power.

Or else it would be an exercise in futility if fresh elections is called and there are no contenders in the end. Unnecessary energy, time and expenses would be wasted, not to mention the inconvenience of the party delegates having to travel to Kuala Lumpur.

    Must be a clear distinction

A party delegate said Muyhiddin’s statement tantamount to telling another family what to do to resolve its own problems within the family unit.

He said there should be a clear distinction of what Umno can do and not do and that they should not be allowed to poke its nose with regards to party matters.

The delegate said Muyhiddin’s directive was an outright infringement of the fundamental rights of the party by another within Barisan Nasional.

He said whether Umno sees it right or wrong or in the name of the Barisan Nasional that it is giving such advice, MCA members must not sit still and allow such dominance by an outside force.

If this is allowed, the Chinese race will be reduced to mere puppets. If you have seen puppets strung up by strings, you know what I mean. Just one jolt, and the puppet will move accordingly. It will do whatever you so wishes.

The delegate asks: “Where will be our credibility and standing in society, if MCA were to be puppets and the strings are in the hands of outsiders.”

Do the Chinese want to succumb to be the slaves or puppets of others?

  16. Dear MCA Watcher,

"If this is allowed, the Chinese race will be reduced to mere puppets."

Don't ever look down on yourself.

Chinese are not Chinese is we can be reduced to mere puppets.
