Protesters call for Ronnie's resignation

KLANG: Some 20 people staged a demonstration outside DAP leader Ronnie Liu's Pandaraman service centre here demanding that he quit as the Pandamaran assemblyman.

"Step down Ronnie Liu, step down!" they shouted.

Claiming to be residents and DAP members, the protesters said they were unhappy with Liu's performance in his constituency as well as the support letter controversy.

They also brought placards and banners, which among others, said:"Ronnie Liu, sila letak jawatan, you bawa banyak masalah di Pandamaran (Please resign Ronnie Liu, you bring a lot of trouble to Pandamaran)."

Another placard read: “Letak jawatan: tidak servis penduduk, buat kacau di pandamaran, makan bah kuteh dan durian di pandamaran. (Step down, (you) don't service the residents, create trouble in Pandamaran, and you only eat Bah Kut Teh and durian here).”

"What have you (Liu) done for the rakyat?” asked one of the protesters Yap Ah Sing.

Why the double standards?

Speaking in his capacity as a Klang resident and MCA Youth leader, he demanded an explanation why Liu, who is also a state exco, escaped unscathed from the support letter issue.

"DAP must explain. Why the double standards? Why was Liu not suspended or sacked?" he said.

Another resident, Tew Leong Yew said:" He has not been servicing the people here, not even basic things like clearing and maintaining drains. Even when a tree fell, nothing was done. There has been so many complaints."

Tew, a DAP member for over 10 years, added:" Most of us here supported Liu in the past, but now we see how he changed after he got his position. Why was Tee Boon Hock, who always helped people and did his job, the one who was sacked?"

A Valluvan, a Pasar branch DAP member lamented that they had “become victims” of Liu after the latter got his position.

"There's just so many things that he has not done,” said another DAP member Lee Poh Tiong.

“Look at the Jalan Banting traffic light, it's been spoilt for two weeks and till now unfixed. We are very angry," he added.

Asked if they were aware that action could be taken against them under the DAP constitution for demonstrating, several said they were prepared to be expelled.

Liu: Not DAP members

Before the demonstration started, Liu was attending an event, which included giving out rice to the people, not more than 50 metres away.

When asked to comment, he said:" I don't know who they are. They are Tee Boon Hock's supporters and disgruntled subcontractors and not DAP members."

However, another protester M Sivam scoffed at Liu's comment. "Not DAP members? Ask him to come see me," he said, waving his DAP member card.

Friday protests tame affair

Despite widespread concerns, the simultaneous protest at three mosques in Kuala Lumpur and Shah Alam turned out to be a tame affair.

The biggest number of protesters were at Masjid Negara, where several hundreds vented their frustration over the court ruling on the 'Allah' issue under the watchful eyes of some 50 police personnel while a police helicopter hovered above.

Armed with banners and placards, the crowd dispersed after about 10 minutes.

During the protest, one of the leaders read out a declaration, which among others, urged Christians to use the word 'Tuhan' instead of 'Allah'.

They also wanted the issue to be decided by the Syariah court and not through civil proceedings.

More than a dozen banners were strung up around the compound of the iconic building. Among others, the banners read 'Do not belittle Islam' and 'We vow to defend Islam and the Malay rulers'.

Earlier, scores of people inked a memorandum at the entrance of the mosque.

At the Kampung Baru mosque, there were only a handful of protesters who gathered briefly. A signature campaign was carried out here as well.

In Shah Alam, things took a political twist with the protesters targetting Selangor Menteri Besar Abdul Khalid Ibrahim and PAS MP Khalid Samad.

Some of the protesters were seen stomping on the menteri besar's poster while a banner accused PAS' Khalid of 'sodomising' the religion.

ISA can be used against 'Allah' protesters

The government today warned that it will not hesitate to use the Internal Security Act against demonstrators who plan to protest today against a court ruling which allowed a Catholic publication to use the word 'Allah'.

Home Minister Hishammuddin Hussein said that the government will use every means necessary, including the ISA, to ensure the national security.

"I will use everything that is necessary to make sure that the country is safe," he said during a press conference.

"ISA is not personal and political, but it is for security," said Hishammuddin.

He also stressed that neither he nor Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak had given the go ahead for the protesters to rally today.

"We never said demonstrations can go on. Don't put words in my mouth," he said.

Several NGOs are planning to stage a nationwide protest at mosques after Friday prayers today to protest over the Allah issue.

Don't take part, says IGP

Speaking to reporters at the same press conference, police chief Musa Hassan reiterated that the demonstrations will be listed as illegal assemblies as no permits have been issued.

"If they take any action that will affect the security, the police will take action," he said.

He also added that the police have been instructed to monitor all the mosques, particularly those scheduled to host the demonstrations.

Quizzed if any drastic measures will be taken if any protest takes place, Musa said:

"We cannot reveal what action will be taken. Within the compound of the places of worship, we cannot take any action," he said.

The inspector general of police added the police were also monitoring blogs and and social networking website such as Facebook.

"We will be checking all the blogs as some are inflaming sentiments and instigate people to break the law," said Musa.

The police will investigate these comments under the Sedition Act.

DAPigs

Recently someone posted and painted that it is as if BN is full of corrupted devils and the Opposition particulary DAP is filled with angels .

But their actions shows they are more inclined towards lawlessness and anti establishment . Everything that the govt does , is against the wishes of the rakyat . Everything that crumbles down like in the case of the roof collapse and glass windows collapse in Trengganu , they will blame it on the BN govt . When someone gets killed in police custody , they blame it on the BN govt . When Indians demonstrate against the DAP govt in Penang on the Kpg Buah Pala issue , they blame it on the previous BN govt . Ya practically everything including the lastest issue of the stolen jet engines to the death of Teoh beng Hock .

Its easy to blame , like its easy to be in the opposition , only offer mouth service and oppose everything . When in trouble put the blame on the govt . Like for example someone commented which I deleted that there is so few Chinese in the govt sector and ask me what the MCA is doing about it ? , Easy put the blame on MCA when the Chinese doesn't want to enter the public sector and instead goes for the private sector . Maybe I should have asked him what is the DAP doing about this ? getting the Chinese to join the public sector like in the police and military ? Obviously this person who wrote doesn't understand the minds of the Chinese , perhaps he is not a Chinese .

Anyway for the DAP , who have now been given the chance to govern the State of Penang , it looks like they are still every bit thinking and acting like Opposition rather than the government as can be seen from the latest where they have shown themselves to be very anti establishment and acts like hooligans and has very little respect for the law becoming lawlessness in the process .
There are two latest incidents by DAP legislators , members and supporters .

Case one :

DAP says “Go to hell” to Court of Appeal ruling

Chinese Chauvinist party DAP simply has no regard to court ruling. They are simply anti-establishment, despite that they claim that “The Supreme Law is the Constitution”.

Recently, Court of Appeal decided in favour of the MACC to allow questioning and interviews be carried out after office hours after a High Court ruling that MACC has to do about the business within office hours, on the application of Pakatan Rakyat Kajang Municipal Councillor Tan Boon Wah. Now, they conveniently want to ignore the Court of Appeal ruling.

Alleged protestor attacked by mob

BUTTERWORTH – A dispatch rider who was allegedly involved in a demonstration where a portrait of Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng was burned claimed a group of men attacked him at the Mak Mandin industrial estate, near here, on Sunday. S Krishnan Nair, 46, said he was attacked with sharp objects and was punched in the chest by the mob, believed to comprise at least eight men. At the time of the incident at around 10pm he was travelling on his bike to Mak Mandin, from Butterworth. "As I reached the industrial estate I sensed that I was being followed by a group of men on motorcycles,” he told reporters after lodging a report at the Mak Mandin police station at about midnight. Blocked his way Krishnan said the bikers overtook him and blocked his way; one of them said they wanted to talk to him. Krishnan said he invited the group, who was not known to him, to talk over some drinks or at his house. “Instead, they attacked me and fled,” he alleged. Krishnan then sought help from a friend, who brought him to the Seberang Jaya Hospital for treatment. He was accused of being among the more than 100 protestors who demonstrated against the state government outside the Penang legislative assembly on Nov 30. The group, who included leaders and supporters of Barisan Nasional component parties as well as residents of the controversial Kampung Buah Pala settlement, burnt a portrait of the chief minister to show their discontent. Seberang Perai Utara district police chief Supt Mohamad Sukri Awang, contacted by Bernama, confirmed there was a police report by Krishnan. No arrests have been made so far – Malaysian Mirror

KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 19 — The word on the street was that a protest was going to be held at the MCA headquarters at Jalan Ampang. Reporters came in droves at 7pm. Policemen prepared for any eventuality.

What was hyped as a “protest” against the MCA leadership, turned out to be a subdued affair. For one thing, the protestors were mostly youngsters wearing face masks. Pockets of the MCA Youth and Wanita wings’ members attended, but no big names showed up.

“If an MCA leader were to betray and manipulate democracy, the very foundation of the party, just for the sake of retaining power, how can you convince the Chinese community that you will not betray the nation and country when you are facing the temptation of power and personal interest?” asked Lai Chee Hoe, a lawyer who was the appointed spokesman for the night. Is the loyar buruk directing that message to the Brutus and conspirators ?

He read out the press statement in front of the 60-odd crowd who were dressed in black and holding candles. A rendition of the Negaraku plus the MCA party anthem soon followed suit.

“We are here not in support of any faction...but we are just opening posters demeaning Chua and OTK . What cock is he talking ? We hope MCA will end this turmoil and regain stability in time to create a better tomorrow,” said Lai, who stressed that the candlelight vigil was not aimed at furthering any political agenda and that all they wanted was a strong MCA.

Chong Sin Woon, MCA Youth CC member for Pandan, attested to the fact that most of the people who attended the vigil were “outsiders”. Must be from the PKR and DAP professional protesters for hire club .

“This vigil was mostly initiated by outsiders, young people who are concerned with the future of this party. Now we ask MCA leaders to listen to these young people because of they do not do that, MCA is gone.” Please go tell that to the Brutus and Conspirators !

The only excitement in an otherwise sombre affair.

He went on to emphasise that the only possible way to realise democracy in the party was to make way for fresh elections. Who said that ? is it the brutus and Weeping Wee ? and they said they are not in support of any faction ? Who are they kidding ? My grandmother ?

The candlelight vigil reached its peak moment when people started offering “prayers” for MCA. The youngsters, though seemingly nervous, carried out what they came for. Seemingly nervous ?? Where are you Weeping Wee ?

Aside from the vigil, the only highlight of the evening was when a few people started brandishing anti-Ong Tee Keat/Chua Soi Lek banners. And they said they are not in support of any faction , bird of a feather flock together , great LIARS ....wearing black ? must be mourning the death of Weeping wee and Weeping Chew

The banners read in Chinese: “Chua Soi Lek keeps hanging on to deputy post, MCA cannot be rejuvenated with this person in power.

“Party chief Ong Tee Keat loses trust and credibility, has caused the Chinese community to lose face.” Where are the organisers ? DAP like to campor tangan too .

No arrests were made. The banners were taken away by the police. The gathering ended at 9pm.
