Ibrahim Ali out of ICU, can speak again but told to hold his horses

Wong Choon Mei, Malaysia Chronicle

News that Perkasa chief Ibrahim Ali was out of danger and could already speak following a two-hour bypass surgery earlier this week was welcomed by his fellow lawmakers, although they also took pains to remind him to control himself and avoid any booming rhetoric until he was stronger.

“Congratulations to Ibrahim and his family. It is good news and we are sure that he must be raring to get going again especially with the Umno annual assembly ongoing and such a hotbed for Malay issues this year,” PKR vice president Dr Lee Boon Chye told Malaysia Chronicle.

The short but tubby 57-year old MP for Pasir Mas has been one of the most vocal personalities this year. Since founding ultra-Malay rights group Perkasa in January, he has stubbed a finger in almost every national issue that has cropped up.

But each time, he left a trail of unhappiness in his wake because of his extreme and often racist remarks that have angered and alienated the non-Malay groups in the country.

“I am a jaguh kampung (village champion) who is brave like a bull. Anything that crosses my path, I will fight it to the end,” Malaysian Insider reported Ibrahim as saying in a June article.

The original jaguh kampung and the closet racists

Of late, his chase for the limelight and flamboyance has threatened his health, prompting him to publicly complain of an array of ill-health including diabetes, numbness and even flatulence. Doctors eventually found three blocked arteries in his heart and promptly scheduled him for surgery.

One of the most popular spoofs
But the damage has been done. Ibrahim's constant poking into issues all-and-sundry including the status of the Kelantan royal family feud led to the Palace revoking his datuk-title earlier this month. And while, the pugnacious Ibrahim put on a brave face, it is clear the royal reprimand coming from his own home-state was a serious blow and embarrassment.

His surgery will be good for him in that it cleans up his arterial system and provides him with a stronger grip on life. The enforced slowdown will also be good for the nation.

Love him or hate him, Ibrahim’s constant series of demonstrations including a high-profile protest to the U.S. embassy has seriously dented Malaysia's image as a moderate nation, adding to the uncertainty that clouds its economic and political future.

“The brief respite is welcome to all. But I’m sure it won’t last for long. Whether Ibrahim retires or not, Malaysian politics will always be color-based so long as Umno-BN rules. If it is not him, they will find someone else. Racism and racial politics weren’t invented by Ibrahim Ali although he has made himself synonymous with these qualities,” Batu MP Tian Chua told Malaysia Chronicle.

"The original jaguh kampong actually came from Umno and in the current Umno assembly, Prime Minister Najib Razak has already exposed himself to be one of the biggest closet racists ever.”

Time enough for politics

Tian was referring to Najib’s controversial speech to party delegates on Thursday that shocked the nation. Najib had vowed to defend his party’s five-decade stranglehold on the federal government even if it necessitated ‘crushed bodies’ and ‘lost lives’.

Already jabbing into the air as he speaks to visitor Khairy
Umno watchers have accused the underperforming Najib of posturing before his party mates in a bid to deflect attention from his lack of political and economic achievements since taking power nearly two years ago.

He looks set to lose further ground in the next general election that is widely expected to be called in the first half of next year.

Even if Najib manages to cling on, chances are high that the simple majority his predecessor Abdullah Badawi managed to snatch from Opposition Leader Anwar Ibrahim will be further chopped down – paving the way for greater turmoil within Umno.

Already, it is clear Deputy Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin plans to challenge him for the Umno presidency next year. Chances are Ibrahim Ali and Perkasa will throw their support behind him rather than Najib.

Although Ibrahim and his group have been accused of being clowns - albeit dangerous ones - they can pack enough power to sway an internal Umno decision. Without Ibrahim Ali though, Perkasa is likely to fade and became another non-performing NGO despite its connections.

“Ibrahim is an independent MP but to deny that he is connected to Umno is a bit unbelievable,” PAS leader Dr Hatta Ramli told Malaysia Chronicle.

“He is aligned to Mahathir and Muhyiddin so for sure he will be in the thick of action. But before he jumps in, we say to him - have a good recovery first and remember - avoid overeating, smoking or cigarette smoke!”

Ibrahim Ali: What will 3 blocked arteries mean to him

For every shit he has one blocked artery , so for the Shit , Shit Shit fella , he has three blocked arteries , which means his time is up !

Ibrahim Ali in his trademark finger-jabbing pose
Wong Choon Mei, Malaysia Chronicle

UPDATED Malaysia's most controversial race-champion Ibrahim Ali has three blocked blood vessels in his heart and is now resting ahead of his by-pass operation scheduled for Monday, and while fellow politicians and well-wishers pray for his recovery, few Malaysians cannot help but wonder if he will exit from this latest challenge a man changed for the better.

The short but portly 57-year old has been in the thick of a political maelstrom created by the ruling Umno party, which is gearing itself for snap general elections widely expected to be announced early next year. Despite being the independent Member of Parliament for Pasir Mas in Kelantan, Ibrahim Ali is regarded as an Umno rider and Umno - which is Prime Minister Najib Razak's party - is known for its divide-and-rule racist policies.

Ibrahim has indeed angered Malaysians especially the non-Malays with dramatic proclamations that he cared for nobody and nothing but his own Malay race. Together with his ultra-Malay rights group Perkasa, he has tried to fan and stir up trouble between the various communities.

So drastic and racist have some of their statements and actions been that they have been featured prominently in most of the influential international press, creating untold damage for Malaysia's image as a politically stable nation and an attractive destination for investors.

"He was sort of like a guinea-pig for Umno when they tried to shift out all the racial rabble rousing activities to Perkasa but it didn't work because people still linked Perkasa back to Umno," PKR strategic director Tian Chua told Malaysia Chronicle.

One of the most popular spoofs
"In the end, with the help of Utusan and Perkasa, Umno has come off as even more racist-minded than before when its Youth chiefs used to brandish the keris and chant pro-Malay slogans that insulted the other ethnic groups."

Perkasa made him a national figure

Ibrahim burst into national prominence at the start of this year when he founded Perkasa. Although he has vehemently denied it, most Malaysians believe he was "instructed" to do so by top Umno power-brokers that included former premier Mahathir Mohamad, who is also the Perkasa's patron.

Ironically, Mahathir was himself warded in Melbourne's Epworth Hospital earlier this month for chest infection. He was there to give a talk, but when he returned to Malaysia, one of the first things he did was to write an article that urged Malays to stick together against the other races. Mahathir told the Malays not to be ashamed of receiving hand-outs or handicaps as not to accept was unfair. (Read Dr M tells Malays: To be given handicaps is to ensure fairness)

As for Perkasa, it is not know for certain the size of its membership but Ibrahim Ali has boasted it exceeds 200,000 - most of whom are the right-wing conservatives from Umno itself.

On his own, Ibrahim has had a chequered political career. Most Malaysians call him katak or frog for his party-hopping ways. He has been sacked by Umno before and was a member of the now-defunct Semangat 46. On and off, he has flirted with the Islamist PAS, and in 2008, even managed to wheedle endorsement from the party - which is known for its political shrewdness - during the 2008 general election.

“Ibrahim is like a parasite, hopping from tree to tree to cari makan (make a living). Whichever tree he is on will somehow die and then he will flutter on to the next,” PAS MP for Kota Bharu Wan Rahim had told Harakahdaily.

But will the implications of mortality strike Ibrahim

Nonetheless, despite his love-him-or-hate-him abrasiveness, Ibrahim Ali has managed to find sympathy from his fellow parliamentarians even though he himself exhibited the crudest disrespect for another fallen colleague.

Flitting from tree to tree
Last week, he refused to stand up when the whole Parliament had risen to observe a minute's silence for the late Batu Sapi MP Edmund Chong - who died in a bike accident. Ibrahim not only pretended not to notice but began shouting into his hand phone.

"Yes, we know Ibrahim - good and bad. But he's been in the political circuit for decades and I have personally known for more than 20 years. I can't say I think well of his politicking but I wouldn't want him or any human being to die prematurely. Hopefully he will repent and Malaysia can move ahead also," a well-wisher from the political opposition, who had tried to visit him on Saturday night, told Malaysia Chronicle.

Before last week, when he horrified the nation by publicly insisting that, "Even when I kentut (break wind) it will become a problem" as his excuse for his Edmund Chong slight, his most famous comment was, "Don't talk shit! Shit! Shit!Shit!" The quote was captured during an an interview with Al-Jazeera earlier this year.

Meanwhile, his family and Perkasa members are milling around the Ampang Specialist Hospital, where he is still in the Intensive Care Unit. He had a heart attack 10 years ago.

According to one family member, Ibrahim had been complaining of being unwell for weeks. He finally decided to get a check-up at the hospital on Friday and was immediately admitted.

“The doctor detected three blocked blood vessels in his heart and advised him to undergo surgery immediately. He is stable and is now resting in the intensive care unit,” said the family member.

Ibrahim Ali complained of diabetes, numbness in leg and flatulence last week
Malaysia Chronicle

As news that Malaysia's most famous racial rabble-rouser Ibrahim Ali has been taken ill and is now in the ICU at a Kuala Lumpur hospital awaiting by-pass surgery on Monday, his fellow politicians have sent their get-well messages.

The Devils in Disguise has revealed their true identity here's the reason why !
They have hoped for the speedy recovery of the famed racist Datuk Shit Shit Shit , so that he can create more tourmoil for the BN and for the Government . Imagine these goons from the Pakatan Rakyat praying for his speedy recovery so that he can start opening his foul mouth again . Where were these people when he was rattling away with his shit shit shit ?
Here's the lists :

Sivarasa Rasiah, PKR MP for Subang
Despite the fact that we disagree on practically every issue in Parliament and that we were really upset over his refusal to give the late Batu Sapi MP his minute's of due respect, nonetheless we would like to wish Ibrahim Ali a successful operation and speedy recovery. We also hope he will spend time resting fully and well, and also reflect on the bigger picture of what life is about. Perhaps enlightenment will come to him and to us all.

Gobind Singh Deo, DAP MP for Puchong
I hope he gets well and recovers fast. We can always spar in Parliament and having different views is part and parcel of politics as well as life. These are times when we don't set any conditions at all. It doesn't matter if he is Malaysian or not, Malay or not, Muslim or not. As a human being to another, do get well soon.

Dr Lee Boon Chye, PKR MP for Gopeng
Hope he makes a speedy recovery and the operations goes through smoothly. Hospitals can be stressful places. Ibrahim must relax and put his confidence and trust in the doctor. Even though, the by-pass is no longer a complex procedure, Ibrahim must still relax and have faith. Then everything will go smoothly.

Hatta Ramli, PAS MP for Kuala Krai
I am sorry to hear of his ill health. Wish him safe surgery and get well soon.

Tian Chua, PKR MP for Batu
Best wishes for his recovery. We won't want to miss his voice. Malaysian politics would be quite colorless without him.

Ngeh Koo Ham, DAP MP for Beruas
Wish him a successful operation and speedy recovery. Death and sickness help us realize that we are one human family. We need to love each other and care for one another. I hope Ibrahim Ali will one day come to this realization. I also hope he will not insist that his surgery must be conducted by a Malay but a doctor of any race who can help him. In the meantime, do get well and take care.

Dr Siti Mariah Mahmud, PAS MP for Kota Raja
I was surprised to read that he was admitted for heart problems. Let us all pray for a successful surgery and speedy recovery.

Nga Kor Ming, DAP MP for Taiping
We hope he recovers soon. Although, we differ in opinion and find Perkasa destructive rather than constructive, as a fellow MP, I do send my best wishes. I also pray he will repent eventually and realize that the racial approach is no longer good for our beloved nation.

Ibrahim Ali on Batu Sapi: Even if I kentut, it becomes a problem

Betul , it becomes a problem . Angin tak keluar dari pungkok , kentut masok ke kepala , that's why you talk macam kentut . Pordah , Datuk Shit Head !

Ibrahim Ali - I have diabetes, my leg was numb!

Wong Choon Mei, Malaysia Chronicle

In a sure sign of stress, Perkasa chief Ibrahim Ali protested that even if he were to kentut or break wind, the media would still hound him after he was grilled by journalists on why he refused to stand up together with all the other parliamentarians to observe a one-minute of silence for the late Batu Sapi MP Edmund Chong.

Coincidentally, Ibrahim who is also the Pasir Mas MP was stripped of his datuk title by the Kelantan Palace on Wednesday after making a trip to see the former Sultan last week. He was accused of trying to poke fire between feuding members of the Kelantan royal family, angering the current Sultan who is trying to cool down the still simmering situation.

“Ibrahim Ali has single-handedly created so many fires here and there. Racial rabble-rousing, religious bigotry, even in the Kelantan Palace matter he wants to campur tangan (interfere),” Batu MP Nizar Jamaluddin told Malaysia Chronicle.

“But as person and an MP, what I cannot cannot tolerate was his deliberate rudeness in Parliament on Monday when the Speaker asked him to stand up for that 60 seconds of respect to a fellow MP who died in a tragic road crash. Even that he refused to do and started to shout into his hand phone instead.”

Disgusting or not, no apology given

Diabetes or not, Ibrahim could stand and shout with the best
Indeed, Nizar is not the only lawmaker who has called for a motion of censure against Ibrahim Ali. MP for Shah Alam Khalid Ibrahim had immediately ticked him off, accusing him of trying to encourage the Malays to disrespect the minority races.

Other lawmakers also described his behavior as “disgusting”. But the portly Ibrahim is unfazed and refused to make any apologies for his behavior.

He told reporters he had diabetes and he did not stand because his leg was numb.

"What is the problem? If even this is an issue, then even when I kentut it will become a problem. If you want to attack me, do so on proper issues. If Ibrahim Ali is corrupt, abuses power or commits sodomy, then you attack on that,” Malaysiakini reported him as saying.

"If you found out that I have done something wrong that has big implications, you can attack me on that. It is alright if they cari pasal (look for trouble). They have no punching bag, so I feel good also - the more people attack me, I feel stronger and stronger.”

Ibrahim Ali: ‘You can still call me datuk’

Ok I will still call you Datuk Shit , Shit , Shit or Datuk Shit Head . which one do you prefer ?

UPDATED @ 02:52:49 PM 13-10-2010
October 13, 2010
Ibrahim: I still have awards from other states.
KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 13 — Datuk Ibrahim Ali brushed off the Kelantan Sultan’s order to strip him of his datukship today, coyly insisting that “you can still call me datuk”.

This, explained the pint-sized Perkasa chief when accosted by reporters in Parliament this morning, was because he still had two more datukship awards from Selangor and Malacca.

“Can, you can still call me datuk. I still have awards from other states,” the jovial-sounding Ibrahim said.

He, however, offered to be called “Saudara Ibrahim Ali”, noting that he did not mind being labelled such and would not feel slighted in any way.

“If I don’t have a datukship, it’s OK. I prefer to be called Saudara Ibrahim Ali. You don’t call me datuk, it’s OK. It is a small matter to me,” he said.

The Pasir Mas MP explained that he had received the Datuk Paduka Mahkota Selangor award from the Selangor palace and the Darjah Mulia Seri Mahkota award from Malacca.

“There were other states too I could have received my datukship award from. Only I never filled up the form.

To me, it is not a big deal. Nowadays, even those who are not datuks, we still call them datuk,” he said.

The Sultan of Kelantan today stripped Perkasa chief Datuk Ibrahim Ali of his datukship with immediate effect.

Palace comptroller Datuk Abdul Halim Hamad told The Malaysian Insider that Sultan Muhammad V also revoked the former state secretary Datuk Wan Hashim Wan Daud’s title.

Wan Hashim had claimed to be the private secretary to Muhammad’s predecessor and father Sultan Ismail Petra during the recent palace crisis which eventually led to the proclamation of a new Sultan.

Ibrahim today also said that he was “not surprised” that his title had been revoked by the Kelantan Sultan, and suggested that it could have been due to the crisis.

“I do not know the reason, it was not explained to me but I think it could be because of the present situation in Kelantan,” he said.

He explained that just last Friday, he visited the ailing Tuanku Ismail Petra at the latter’s home.

“I visited the previous Sultan as a friend because he is sick and since his return from Singapore, for almost one year, this was the first time I visited him. And he is too close to me as a personal friend so that is why I visited him... he was asking for me. We conversed like normal and then suddenly today, my award was retracted,” he said.

He explained that when he left Istana Mahkota after his visit, he was accosted by a group of waiting reporters.

“I did not arrange it. Who arranged it? I do not know. The press asked me and I told the truth. I said the previous Sultan is doing well, he is of sound mind. He can speak well, but the only thing is physically, he cannot walk and cannot move his hands. But in terms of his mind and the way, he talks, he is okay,” he said.

When asked if he believed that one of the reasons behind the stripping of his title was his involvement with Malay rights group Perkasa, Ibrahim looked slightly miffed.

“What do you mean? If it has something to do with Perkasa. I should be given a higher award instead because Perkasa is defending the country’s constitution and the royal institution so I should be given more awards.

“I think it has nothing to do with that but purely about what is happening in Kelantan,” he insisted.

Ibrahim added, however, that the withdrawal of his datukship would not affect his loyalty to the royal institution.

“I am a fighter and my struggles are consistent. I uphold the sanctity of the royal institution and my loyalty towards the new Sultan is undivided.

“I will continue to be just like the rakyat and I will keep upholding the royal institution. Such matters are very small to me,” he said.

Kelantan palace revokes Ibrahim Ali’s datukship

October 13, 2010
Datuk Ibrahim Ali
KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 13 — The Sultan of Kelantan today stripped Perkasa chief Datuk Ibrahim Ali of his datukship with immediate effect.

The Pasir Mas MP was awarded the Order of the Life of the Crown of Kelantan in 2003.

Ibrahim also holds datukships from Melaka and Selangor which were awarded to him in 1994 and 1999 respectively.

The palace decision came just days after the former deputy minister visited the former ruler Tuanku Ismail Petra last week.

The Kelantan Palace comptroller Datuk Abdul Halim Hamad told The Malaysian Insider that Sultan Muhammad V also revoked the former state secretary Datuk Wan Hashim Wan Daud’s title.

Wan Hashim had claimed to be the private secretary to Muhammad’s predecessor and father Sultan Ismail Petra during the recent palace crisis which eventually led to the proclamation of a new Sultan.

During the crisis Wan Hashim had acted against Muhammad who was then the regent, purportedly on behalf of Ismail who has been ill since May last year.

He was briefly arrested by the police last March after he announced the cancellation of the Sultan’s birthday celebration which proceeded smoothly in the absence of Ismail.

Muhammad was named the Sultan by the state’s council of succession last month after acting as the ruler for more than a year.

Disgusting Ibrahim Ali: Encouraging Malays to disrespect others

On the phone , talking to his mistress ?

Opposition MPs said they felt "utter disgust" with Ibrahim Ali (Ind-Pasir Mas), who allegedly did not stand up and continued talking on the phone as the House stood in one-minute silence as a sign of respect for Batu Sapi MP Edmund Chong Ket Wah.

PAS' Shah Alam MP Khalid Samad said the Perkasa president was being disrespectful and "deliberately provocative", and warned that the opposition bench may move a motion to reprimand Ibrahim.

"Maybe we will move a motion. I think we should... this is his attitude, encouraging Malays to disrespect non-Malays," he said in the Parliament lobby.

"A fellow MP has died and it is just one minute of mourning as a show of respect, but he continued to sit and talk loudly over the phone, apparently to show his spirit as a Malay champion."

Khalid pointed out that it was clear to all the MPs that Ibrahim was on the phone, as only his voice was heard while everyone else was honouring the minute's silence.

"He said at the end he stood up, but that was only the last part, one or two seconds. How important is this phone call? We all have handsets. I personally turned around to see him sitting down and talking... he didn't stand up when he should have," he said.

Rule against using handphones

Johari Abdul (PKR-Sungai Petani) noted that not only was Ibrahim disrespectful to Chong, who died in a motorcycle accident on Saturday, but the independent MP also did not heed the speaker's orders and went against House rules which prohibits the use of handphones.

"This shows he does not respect the speaker and our late colleague. Even if he is an Muslim and a Malay, it is our values as Malaysians to respect each other.

"He must remember, as Perkasa president his actions show as if he does not respect anyone who is not Malay and Muslim," he said.

Dr Hatta Ramli (PAS-Kuala Krai) said the Pakatan Rakyat does not condone such behaviour and strongly criticises Ibrahim's actions.

"We want to distance ourselves from his behaviour, which clearly does not reflect the values and mannerisms of Malay culture... we do not want to be related in any way to the culture brough about by Ibrahim Ali (left) and Perkasa," he said.

Earlier, Gobind Singh Deo (DAP-Puchong) attacked Ibrahim in the House right after the minute's silence after question time at around 11.30am, slamming the latter for not respecting the mourning period that is a traditional show of respect for MPs who die while still serving their term.

Wee says skin colour not a factor, but scared to name Ibrahim

Ibrahim stood up to defend himself but speaker Pandikar Amin Mulia told both MPs to sit down and let the matter rest.

The minute's silence however was supposed to have been done at the start of today's sitting, right after the opening prayers and before the start of question time.

Pandikar later pointed out that the minute's silence would be held at the end of question time.

Ibrahim's antics also earned him condemnation from the government bench, in form of Deputy Education Minister Wee Ka Siong.

Unlike the others, Wee however refused to explicitly name Ibrahim.

"I'm disappointed with the controversial MP, neither from BN or Pakatan, who kept talking on the phone when the house was showing respect to the deceased MP.

"An MP must show respect to his deceased colleague without looking at one's skin colour," wrote Wee on his Twitter page. - Malaysiakini

Reveal my secrets, Nazri dares Ibrahim Ali

No hitting below the belt . You want to reveal , reveal only issues concerning Nazri , don't bring his son or his daughter or his wife into your relevations !
September 27, 2010
Nazri has instructed Ibrahim to reveal any secrets he may have, as the former intends to continue hitting out at Perkasa. — file pic
KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 27 — Datuk Seri Nazri Aziz has challenged Datuk Ibrahim Ali to reveal whatever secrets the Perkasa chief may have against him, in response to the latter’s warning to three Umno leaders to stop criticising Perkasa.

Ibrahim had singled out Nazri, Datuk Seri Tengku Adnan Mansor and Khairy Jamaluddin in his admonition to politicians to stop lashing out at the Malay rights group or risk having their “secrets” revealed.

Nazri said that Ibrahim’s threats did not frighten him, but rather it had strengthened his resolve in opposing Perkasa’s brand of “racism.”

“I want Ibrahim Ali to reveal whatever secrets he may have against me. In fact, I dare him to. He better start revealing [these] soon, because I will continue to attack Perkasa and I will continue to fight him,” Nazri told The Malaysian Insider.

The minister in the prime minister’s department has been vocal in condemning Perkasa for what he deemed an erosion of Barisan Nasional’s (BN) support from the non-Malay electorate.

On Saturday, Ibrahim alleged at a Perkasa rally in his Pasir Mas parliamentary constituency that the three Umno leaders’ views of Perkasa differed from that of Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak’s views.

“I know that these three Umno leaders are not talking on behalf of Umno’s president. I can tell you who is Khairy Jamaluddin, Nazri Aziz, Tengku Adnan Mansor because I know their DNA. If I reveal their DNA then we will continue our fighting so let it stop here.

“Don’t be angry at them. Don’t be angry at the government. We are gentlemen. If they want insult then let them,” he told the audience during the Perkasa rally attended by former prime minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad.

Nazri, however, scoffed at Ibrahim’s latest remarks, dismissing it as the “rants of the Perkasa chief.”

“Does Ibrahim Ali even know what 1 Malaysia is about? If we don’t speak the same language as the prime minister then why are we supporting his 1 Malaysia concept? How is it that he knows more than me? Please,” said Nazri.

The outspoken Padang Rengas MP said that Ibrahim needed a reality check to understand the difference between running a government and operating an NGO.

“Who is in the Cabinet? Who sits on the Umno Supreme Council, and who is in Umno? Definitely not Ibrahim Ali.

“Reveal whatever you have then, please. Come on, I dare you to,” prodded the minister.

Nazri, along with Khairy and Tengku Adnan have all been reported as having spoken out against the Malay rights group.

Khairy had raised concerns that BN would lose non-Malay support if it does not immediately disassociate itself from Perkasa.

The Umno Youth chief said there was a perception now to affiliate Umno with Perkasa, and that this was “hurting” BN’s bid to gain non-Malay votes, which severely dwindled in the last general election.

Similarly, Nazri had declared that the Umno did not support or recognise the Malay rights group, saying Umno was against any form of racism and that Perkasa’s ideals did not fit in the Najib administration’s focus on plurality and unity.

Earlier this month, Tengku Adnan also recently said his BN counterparts had agreed that distancing the ruling coalition from Perkasa was the best way forward to halt the slide in non-Malay support for BN.

He added that Umno would not back the strident Malay rights group or Ibrahim in the next general election.

Tengku Adnan, however, subsequently denied stating that BN was distancing itself from Perkasa after Najib said that Umno did not want to stir conflict with any non-governmental organisation despite the recent move by Umno leaders to rebuff the Malay rights group.

The Mahathir-backed Perkasa is still seen by many as commanding significant support from within Umno as well as the Malay grassroots.

BN leaders unite against Perkasa except Chua Soi Lek .

Maybe he is afraid that Ibrahim Ali will call him a porn actor again .

UPDATED @ 05:59:26 PM 10-09-2010
September 10, 2010

PUTRAJAYA, Sept 10 — Barisan Nasional leaders finally came together today in an apparent face-off with Malay rights group Perkasa and its controversial president Datuk Ibrahim Ali, who has been seen as a thorn in the side of the Najib administration.

Umno’s top leaders, who have kept silent so far on the topic of Perkasa, dropped their defences when approached on the matter today and while they remained cautious, they agreed that supporting the controversial group’s views could prove detrimental to BN’s struggle.

Leading the fray was Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department Datuk Seri Nazri Aziz, who told The Malaysian Insider that it was “about time” that Umno made a strong stand against Ibrahim and the fledgling Perkasa.

“I have said this much earlier — Umno should have come out much earlier. Only now they are echoing my views.

“But it is good, yes, it will help us in our struggle because to disassociate ourselves from groups like this is very important.

“Perkasa is very much against our 1 Malaysia policy,” he said when approached at Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak’s Seri Perdana residence here for his Hari Raya open house.

Nazri describes Perkasa members from Umno as has-beens. — File pic
Nazri, who has been the most vocal of all Umno leaders on the topic of Perkasa, even went a step further to assert that all of Perkasa’s members from Umno and its patron, former premier Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad, were political “has-beens”.

“Who are they? Has-beens. They are people who failed to get positions in the party so they run to Perkasa.

And Dr Mahathir? Has-been,” he said.

In a statement to an English news daily front-paged yesterday, Umno secretary-general Datuk Seri Tengku Adnan Tengku Mansor said he had told his counterparts in all BN parties that Umno would not back Perkasa or its president Ibrahim in the next general election.

The leader reportedly admitted that any move to support Perkasa would only erode BN’s support from the non-Malays.

Speaking to The Malaysian Insider, Tengku Adnan even said that Umno would field its own candidate in Ibrahim’s Pasir Mas constituency in the next election.

He also said that BN leaders agreed that distancing themselves from Perkasa was the best way forward, acknowledging that Perkasa had successfully pitted BN component parties against one another.

Higher Education Minister Datuk Seri Mohamed Khaled Nordin agreed that Perkasa’s views were lopsided, saying that Umno never subscribed to the group’s ideals.

“In Umno, when defending the rights of the Malays, we try to be fair.

“What Perkasa is doing is that when they bring up something, it is perceived that they fail to take consideration or interest in other races. Umno does not subscribe to what Perkasa is doing,” he told The Malaysian Insider.

He reminded Ibrahim that the nation was bound together by its diversity and lived in harmony because of the understanding and social arrangement already agreed upon in the past.

“If we upset the equilibrium, surely that will cause an upset.

“That is why in Umno, we defend Malay rights but we believe there is a place for all Malaysians. We want all groups to understand this part,” he said.

Defence Minister Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi further distanced Umno from Perkasa, pointing out that the group’s struggles were very “ethnocentric” in nature.

“We should reject ethnocentricity in this country. It should not be encouraged.

“I am worried that other groups will start fighting for their own ethnic needs,” he said.

He pointed out that Umno may belong to the Malays and the Bumiputeras but it still fought for the rights of the non-Malays.

Deputy Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department Datuk Ahmad Maslan echoed Zahid’s views, pointing out that Perkasa’s fight was for the rights of one single race.

“We fight for all. Umno’s struggles are by far bigger than Perkasa’s struggles.

“Umno fights for the Malays and for the country and the international stage. Perkasa only struggles for the Malays,” he said.

Agriculture and Agro-Based Industry minister Datuk Seri Noh Omar said Perkasa was merely an “NGO”.

“We have to be able to tell between a political party and an NGO. They should work as an NGO and that’s all. They can organise their functions and carry out their programmes as an NGO,” he said.

The Umno leaders also acknowledged that many Perkasa members were from Umno, but insisted that this was a minority.

“They do not represent all of Umno. Anyone can join an NGO,” said Khaled.

Nazri, however, insisted that these were “sunset politicians”.

“They have no impact on us. No one cares about Perkasa. They are only famous in the media,” he said.

He predicted that should Ibrahim recontest his Pasir Mas parliamentary seat in the next elections, he would lose.

“Because he cheated PAS and won on a PAS ticket. But who will support him now as an independent?” he said.

Deputy Federal Territories and Urban Well-being Minister Datuk M. Saravanan also joined his BN colleagues in rejecting Perkasa.

“MIC is happy that we are moving now to distance ourselves from Perkasa. They will not in any way help the BN,” he said.

Several MCA leaders also commended Tengku Adnan for calling on BN leaders to reject Perkasa.

MCA vice-president Gan Ping Sieu said that Ibrahim was a “nobody” and should be ignored.

“We should not dignify him with so many answers and replies,” he said.

Fellow vice-president Datuk Chor Chee Heung said that Tengku Adnan’s statement was the most sensible statement made by an Umno or BN leader.

MCA president Datuk Seri Dr Chua Soi Lek refused to comment on the matter. Sudah hilang bola !

However, it is understood that there is no love lost between Dr Chua and Ibrahim, who have been at each other’s throats over their differences in opinion.

Umno will challenge Ibrahim Ali in Pasir Mas, says sec-gen

KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 8 — Umno secretary-general Datuk Seri Tengku Adnan Tengku Mansor said the party would not back Datuk Ibrahim Ali in the next general election as the Perkasa chief was eroding Barisan Nasional’s (BN) support among the non-Malays.

He also dismissed allegations that Umno had strong ties with the Malay rights group,

“Why should Umno support him? Umno should put a candidate in Pasir Mas. We will contest in Pasir Mas,” Tengku Adnan told The Malaysian Insider in an interview yesterday.

Ibrahim, who was sacked from Umno in 2004, won the Pasir Mas seat in Election 2008 under a PAS ticket.

In 2005, he contested as an independent in the Pengkalan Pasir by-election but obtained only 415 votes and lost his deposit. Pengkalan Pasir is a state constituency situated in the Pasir Mas town centre.

Ibrahim abandoned his partnership with PAS soon after Election 2008 and founded Perkasa to defend what he called the constitutional position of the Malays.

The group which has successfully attracted more than 50,000 members nationwide has been pressuring the Najib administration to state its support for pro-Bumiputera economic policy, despite the government’s attempt to liberalise the country’s economy.

Recently, Ibrahim challenged Datuk Seri Najib Razak to declare that his 1 Malaysia concept— introduced to promote national unity — was consistent with the concept of “Ketuanan Melayu” (Malay supremacy), which Ibrahim claimed to be constitutionally enshrined.

“As a secretary-general I can tell you, we have nothing to do with Perkasa, and certain things Perkasa is doing we are not happy [with], because they are eroding our support,” said Tengku Adnan when it was pointed out that many Perkasa members are from Umno.

“When they talk about my Chinese friends or my Indian friends, they make us lose more votes,” he added.

Tengku Adnan reminded Perkasa leaders that BN had to address the needs of all racial groups in the country and could not afford to discriminate against anyone if it wanted to continue governing Malaysia.

“Please slow down. Whatever you do, please think properly. What is the end result? What do you want for Malaysia? You want a civil war?” asked Tengku Adnan.

“I know when I say this, the Perkasa members will attack me,” he added.

Tengku Adnan also dismissed the need to talk to Ibrahim over the matter.

“I don’t have to talk to him. It is not easy to talk to Datuk Ibrahim Ali, let’s just leave him in his own world,” he said.

Tengku Adnan stressed that most Perkasa leaders were those who defeated in the last Umno election in 2008 and sought a political platform for them to be heard.

“They are not wanted in Umno, they are no more leaders they are just ordinary members,” he said.

Tengku Adnan, however, admitted that some grassroots Umno leaders were also active in Perkasa.

“In my division, my vice-chief is also the Putrajaya Perkasa chief. He asked me for permission, I said you can join but I told him don’t destroy the country,” he added referring to Nordin Hassan.

Ibrahim Ali spits more insults at Khairy

KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 8 – The Khairy Jamaluddin-Ibrahim Ali spat has devolved to a near-farcical level with the Perkasa president launching a series of biting insults against the Umno Youth chief, calling him “stupid”, “crazy”, “feeble-minded” and a “confused child”.

The outspoken Pasir Mas MP’s latest attack was in response to Khairy’s statement during a recent interview with an online news portal that Perkasa was one of the reasons behind Barisan Nasional’s (BN) dwindling support from the people.

“This is the talk of a stupid, brainless person. He is talking like a crazy person. Perkasa was only formed after the 12th general election.”

“In that election, BN lost badly because people hated Khairy,” he said in a statement sent by text message here last night.

Ibrahim went a step further to accuse Khairy, who is the son-in-law of former prime minister Tun Abdullah Ahmad Badawi, of being an opportunist.

“He is big-headed because his father-in-law became the prime minister. He entered politics [for] barely two to three years and already he got a spot for himself because of this.

“People hated Pak Lah because Khairy controlled him,” he said, referring to Abdullah’s moniker.

Ibrahim also defended Perkasa’s formation, pointing out that the non-governmental Malay rights group was formed to unite the Malays and not divide support in the BN.

“Khairy’s statement is truly moronic. He is a confused child who has great a great lust for power but has lost his teeth.”

He noted that Khairy’s statement would have made more sense if Perkasa had been formed before the last general election.

“He is truly stupid. Umno is further destroyed because of feeble-minded people like Khairy.

“Also, how smart of him to ask the government to be honest when it comes to giving out contracts... as if during Pak Lah’s time the government was so transparent,” insinuated Ibrahim.

Perkasa has successfully turned into a pressure group in ensuring the government continues to protect what the group calls the “special rights” of the Malays, in particular the pro-Bumiputera policy in awarding of government projects and scholarships.

Last month, the Pasir Mas MP called Khairy “mentally ill” for threatening to leave Umno if majority of its members supported Perkasa.

Ibrahim also claimed that Khairy was using the Malay rights group as an outlet to vent his frustration over his failure to score a deputy minister’s post in the Najib administration.

The maverick politician has been engaged in a verbal war with Khairy since he first told the latter to resign as Rembau MP for allegedly compromising Malay interests by defending MCA Youth chief Datuk Dr Wee Ka Siong over the issue of scholarships for Bumiputeras.

Khairy had retaliated by calling Ibrahim a “gedebe politik” (political gangster) and “jaguh kampung” (village champion) at the height of the row.

'Everybody hates moron Khairy' says Shit Shit Shit Idiot !

Everyone's a moron except himself !

By Stephanie Sta Maria

PETALING JAYA: Perkasa boss Ibrahim Ali has once again torn Umno Youth chief Khairy Jamaluddin to shreds, labelling the Oxford-trained politician as a madman fond of making moronic statements. In a text message to FMT, the Pasir Mas MP said: “Everybody hates Khairy.”

“He is a leader who practises money politics and arrogantly helped himself to every government project when his father-in-law (Abdullah Ahmad Badawi) was prime minister,” he added.

The Perkasa chief was livid over Khairy's statement that the right-wing Malay movement was causing support to dwindle for Umno and Barisan Nasional.

In an interview with Malaysiakini, the Umno Youth chief also said he believes that most of Perkasa's members were from Umno.

Ibrahim stressed that Perkasa was only formed after the 2008 general election which saw BN, under the leadership of Khairy's father-in-law, suffer its worst ever setback.

The Perkasa chief reiterated his claim that it was Khairy who was responsible for the electoral debacle and the people's hatred for him extended to Abdullah as well, since the latter was under his thumb.

“Perkasa was formed to prevent a division among the Malays,” he stated.

“Khairy's accusation that we are the cause of BN losing votes would have made sense if we were formed before the last elections. But now his statement is moronic and he's talking like a madman.”

He also took a swipe at Khairy for urging the government to practise transparency in awarding contracts.

“As if such transparency was practised during Abdullah's era,” he sniped.

“Khairy is a man with high ambitions and no fangs. It's these kind of people who will drag Umno down,” he added.

PAS and Umno both selfish, says Perkasa boss, Shit shit shit !

By Hawkeye

PENANG: Perkasa pesident Ibrahim Ali has dismissed the possibility of any Malay-unity talk between Umno and PAS this Ramadan. He said both parties were too insincere in their political agenda to make that happen.

The self-proclaimed Malay rights champion said the Malay community would remain in a political stalemate as long as Umno and PAS continued to waver on the unity talks.

Both had selfish interests to safeguard at the expense of the Malay community as a whole, he said.

Umno has often proposed the talks, and PAS has often demurred, although a few of the Islamic party’s leaders have not rejected them entirely, saying cooperation in religious affairs was possible.

.Malays at the grassroots level wanted unity between the two parties, Ibrahim claimed. He said PAS stood to lose if it continued to ignore calls for the talks.

In the next general election, PAS members may reject their own party in certain states, Ibrahim told FMT.

"PAS members are devout Muslims but, mind you, they are also Malays and if they feel that their rights are eroding in the new Malaysia, they will rebel," he said.

Ibrahim Ali under influence...?

Under influence of Gila Babi

From Dryan, via e-mail

I'm a Dayak, a majority (Bumi) group in Sarawak. We behave in a civilised manner despite our ancestors' history of being headhunters.

When the Ibrahim Ali and Mahathir spew hatred towards non-Malays, could they have taken some form of drugs to stimulate them? Sounds like they are talking under the influence....

West Malaysian Malays are generally nice people but Ibrahim Ali is not one of them. He talks like there are no other Malaysian Bumis in Sarawak and Sabah.

We could have acted like him when the majority of non-Dayaks were government employees and the Dayak (Native) land was taken by the wealthy non-Dayaks.

But what the heck, all good things will come to an end. When G13 comes around it will be the beginning, and hopefully with a happy ending.

'Dr' Pundek Bagaro Ibrahim ready for ISA hattrick

By Stephanie Sta Maria

KUALA LUMPUR: An unfazed Perkasa boss Ibrahim Ali said he is prepared to obtain his doctorate in the Internal Security Act (ISA).

Doctorate in Foulmouthlogy ! Pariah Idiot !

The BN-friendly independent Pasir Mas MP stressed that he has no qualms about being sent to the gulags if the authorities deemed him and Perkasa a threat to national security.

In an SMS to FMT, the two-time ISA veteran also quipped that a third detention under the security law which provides for incarceration without trial would be akin to being conferred a “PhD in ISA”.

“I have strongly defended the retention of ISA. So if I am detained, I would not question the police or accuse them of wrongful detention. I believe that the police are professional,” he said.

The vocal MP also promised not to flee abroad to hide or garner support like what “other leaders have done”.

Responding to his critics, which inlcude Umno Youth chief Khairy Jamaluddin and MIC's S Vell Paari, Ibrahim said: “I dare face all challenges and take full responsibility for what I have done.”

“I am also not the kind of person who makes a statement without using my brains and later seek an apology. These people are all cowards,” he added.

Scholarship row

Ibrahim, who has been courting controversy on a regular basis, came under fire recently for attacking Deputy Education Minister Wee Ka Siong.

He had accused the MCA Youth chief of questioning Malay rights by asking if the government would scrap Mara scholarships meant for Malay students since it was planning to do away with the Public Service Department's overseas scholarships, which are open to all.

Wee has denied this, claiming that Ibrahim had twisted his comments while the latter was also attacked by Khiary for kicking up a fuss over a trivial matter to seek publicity.

The tension escalated when Perkasa's newsletter Suara Perkasa, in its maiden edition yesterday, called for Wee's arrest under ISA on its front-page.

This prompted Khairy to urge the Home Ministry to probe the publication, which he claimed was attempting to incite racial unrest.

Vell Paari, on the other hand, said it is Ibrahim who should be arrested under ISA.

However, Perkasa officials have remained unapologetic, saying that the article served as a warning to those like Wee “not to stir a hornets' nest”.

KJ calls Ibrahim Ali a jaguh kampung

Jaguh kampong ? Pordah shit shit shit , jaguh pocket sendiri

June 25, 2010
KUALA LUMPUR, June 25 — Khairy Jamaluddin said today that Datuk Ibrahim Ali did not have the right to ask him to resign after he defended MCA Youth Chief Datuk Dr Wee Ka Siong.

“This is because Khairy as the Umno Youth Chief is one of the first Member of Parliament to object to the proposal to downsize the number of JPA scholarships for Malaysian students who want to pursue their studies overseas.

“Downsizing of scholarships for overseas studies would have a big impact on the opportunities for Malay and Bumiputera students to continue their studies, especially those who are truly excellent,” he said.

Yesterday Khairy had slammed Ibrahim for calling Wee “biadap” and for accusing the deputy education minister of questioning the social contract.

Khairy added that he had listened to the recording of Wee’s statement and found that the latter had not questioned the social contract.

Instead Khairy called the Perkasa president a “jaguh kampung,” or small-timer.

“He (Ibrahim) is a jaguh kampung in a world of globalisation. Which era is he in? He has become a hindrance to the concept of 1 Malaysia,” the Umno Youth Chief said in a posting on Twitter today.

According to Khairy, the message was part of an explaination that he provided when asked by reporters in Kuala Kedah.

The Barisan Nasional Youth Chief added that Ibrahim did not have the right to ask him to resign because he was not a “voter from Rembau and was not even an Umno party member.”

Yesterday Ibrahim asked Khairy to resign as Rembau MP for compromising Malay interests in defending the MCA Youth chief.

The independent Pasir Mas MP claimed that the Umno Youth chief had failed to understand Wee’s remarks on Mara scholarships.

“That is why Perkasa is upset. How can Mara be equated with JPA. Mara is only for Malays. JPA is for all. If both are the same what would happen to Malay special rights,” said Ibrahim.

“If Khairy could not understand Ka Siong’s hint he should quit,” said Ibrahim.

Last week, Wee reportedly asked if the Mara scholarship programme for Bumiputera students would be scrapped together with the Public Service Department (PSD) scholarships.

“If the government is only doing away with the PSD scholarships but retain the Mara scholarships, this will not be in line with the 1 Malaysia concept that the government is promoting,” he was quoted as saying.

Wee made the statement in response to the government’s decision to scrap the 1,500 PSD scholarships.

The deputy education minister had yesterday dismissed accusations that he was questioning the special position of the Malays and managed to get Khairy to defend him.

Ibrahim said this was the first time an Umno Youth chief had set aside the interests of the Malays.

Yesterday, Umno Youth Information Chief Datuk Seri Reezal Merican Naina Merican described Ibrahim’s demand as unreasonable and said that the question of compromising Malay interests did not arise.

Ibrahim Ali returns Chua’s fire

By Stephanie Sta Maria

KUALA LUMPUR: Perkasa president Ibrahim Ali has shot back at MCA president Chua Soi Lek, calling him “a leader with no morals” and accusing him of practising double standards.

Ibrahim's latest tirade was in response to Chua's statement that MCA would not be trapped into making him feel important by responding to his statements.

Chua had also said that it was Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak and “not Ibrahim Ali” that Malaysians should support as leader of the nation.

Ibrahim acknowledged this but returned fire by saying that Chua was not a national leader either as had “only has 35% support”.

“I remind Chua not to touch the 30%-Bumiputera quota,” he said. “He should understand Article 153 (on Malay privileges) of the Federal Constitution before he can count himself among Malaysian leaders.”

Ibrahim went on to blast Chua for allegedly having two standards when it came to fighting for community rights. He said Chua saw nothing wrong with meeting non-Malay NGOs and issuing demands contradicting national policies.

“But when Perkasa fights for Malay rights, you condemn us and call us racist,” he said.

Ibrahim also took aim at Loh Seng Kok, MCA’s deputy publicity chief.

Earlier this week, Loh challenged him to come up with constructive suggestions to make 1Malaysia a reality instead of questioning Chinese support for BN.

“My answer to Loh is that MCA needs to learn how to uphold the country's basic constitution and stop falling into DAP's trap,” he said. “Malaysian Malaysia is not 1Malaysia.

“MCA should mind its language unless it wants to deprive BN of Malay votes in the next general election.”

That's the irony when you are tainted . You will always be associated with having No Morals and will always be known as a leader with no morals .

MCA says Ibrahim Ali is publicity hungry

By Clara Chooi

KUALA LUMPUR, April 29 — The MCA hit out again at Malay rights group Perkasa, and accused its president of being a publicity seeker.

Emphasising once again that Perkasa was just an NGO, MCA president Datuk Seri Dr Chua Soi Lek said that its chief Datuk Ibrahim Ali was just reaping all the publicity he could gain from the constant rebuttal of his statements, seen by some to be extreme in nature.

“Maybe it is through this constant rebuttal that he (Ibrahim) finds a lot of publicity and gets enjoyment out of it,” Dr Chua (picture) pointed out at a press conference after a lengthy meeting with members of the party’s presidential council here this afternoon.

He said Ibrahim’s support was contrary to the prime minister’s 1 Malaysia platform which, he said, was all-inclusive and more moderate.

“People like Ibrahim Ali will always find his niche market which I am sure is growing smaller and smaller over time.

“Perkasa, as an NGO, has the right to say what it wants but most important is whether the people believe them or not,” he said.

He took cognisance of the fact that Perkasa’s widening influence had affected the Chinese voters’ perception of the Barisan Nasional but expressed confidence that in time, the MCA would not need to have to rebut everything that the Malay rights group said.

“I am sure that most Malaysians, irrespective of race, will subscribe to a leadership that is moderate, more liberal, accommodative and which pursues the middle path.

MCA slams ‘racist’ remarks from Umno leaders

By Adib Zalkapli

KUALA LUMPUR, April 29 — MCA vice-president Gan Ping Sieu said today that racist remarks by Umno leaders have become a stumbling block to Barisan Nasional’s (BN) efforts to win back Selangor from Pakatan Rakyat (PR).

He was commenting on a blog post by state Opposition Leader Datuk Seri Dr Mohd Khir Toyo. The Selangor Umno man had said that Chinese voters in Hulu Selangor failed to show appreciation for the BN federal government’s initiatives, choosing instead to back PR.

“The racist-bent blog posting dated April 26 by the former mentri besar of Selangor, Datuk Seri Dr Mohd Khir Toyo, levelled against the Chinese community in Selangor is one of the main stumbling blocks which makes it difficult for Barisan Nasional to recover the Selangor state government from Pakatan Rakyat,” said Gan in a statement today.

“As the Selangor BN leader, Khir Toyo must not make such racist remarks as they would ultimately lead to the failure of the 1 Malaysia concept promoted by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak,” he added.

“Let it be known that if racist diatribes are allowed to continue, it would be close to impossible for BN to overturn its loss of the Selangor state government in the next general election,” said Gan.

He also called on Khir to respect the rights of the voters in as it is guaranteed by the federal Constitution.

“The right to vote is a fundamental civil political right of the rakyat as provided under the federal Constitution. Political leaders have no right to blame any voter for exercising his/her civil political right for whichever political divide he/she decides upon,” said Gan.

The myths of Chinese ballots

Indeed, this kind of voice emerges as soon as the by-election is over

Perkasa has stepped in. Its chief Ibrahim Ali said Chinese were ungrateful and ought to be punished.

He felt that since Chinese voters had not supported the BN candidate, the government should stop all the allocation pledges made to the Chinese community in Hulu Selangor.

Ibrahim Ali should take pride in draining away the Chinese votes for BN.

As BN has not drawn a clear line between itself and the Perkasa chief, Chinese ballots are expected to drift away further.

Some more, the once hushed Khir Toyo has found good reasons to lambaste again.

He said since Chinese Malaysians had not reciprocated the prime minister's goodwill, Najib and his government should review their policies and turn their attention to the Malays and Indians who supported the BN, otherwise it would be like "feeding the monkeys in the woods but starving the kids at home."

Huh! Monkeys will grab the bananas and run away. How do we expect them to be thankful? What a magnificent metaphor!

Perhaps we should look at it the other way: The politicos, having finished up the bananas in the woods, get thrown out of the woods by the people bosses, and can only put up a howl outside.

The Pakatan state government will feel very much at ease so long as Khir remains in Selangor!

Yes, the rightists and opportunists in UMNO will try to interpret the by-election outcome in their own unique ways.

And the message from their interpretations goes this way: Since the benefits provided by Najib's new policies and administration have not been reciprocated by the Chinese, perhaps they should forget about Chinese ballots and go for a more racist approach in getting more Malay votes to return to BN.

Over-simplistic brains. Fallacious logic. Extremely dangerous motives.

1. A shift towards racism will not translate into more Malay support. Fundamentally all the conservative Malays have already moved over to BN's side, and such preposterous shift will not win it any more votes. On the contrary, it will invite repulsion from more open-minded Malays and non-Malays.

2. The return of Malay votes shows that Najib's liberal policies have not caused a backlash among Malay voters. Upon this foundation, Najib should adopt even more open and liberal policies to earn the support of all Malaysians.

3. Government policies should by right benefit the people, and all government allocations have been sourced from taxpayers' pockets. Just as the prime minister himself has said, BN is not buying over the people, but helping them.

4. Racism is a dead-end road which will not only spawn political instability, but also batter the national economy. No one will stand to gain in the end.

5. It takes sound political philosophy to run a government, not threats, intimidation or bribery. "1Malaysia" is a kind of philosophy that puts together the common understanding of all Malaysians, and from there we create a progressive and prosperous nation.

6. The government should honour all its pledges, including RM3 million promised to the Rasa Chinese primary school. Besides, the government must also show its sincerity in recognising the certificates of independent Chinese secondary schools as it strives to mould a more democratic, equitable and open society. Najib snubs Shit Stirrer Perkasa’s demand to punish Chinese voters

Everybody seems to be smiling and happy except Chua . Look at Chua's body language . Deep in thoughts ? a picture tells a thousand words !

By Clara Chooi

PUTRAJAYA, April 28 — Datuk Seri Najib Razak issued a clear warning to all quarters to never dispute Barisan Nasional’s (BN) promises to voters, snubbing the demands by Malay rights group Perkasa’s demands to punish the Chinese who voted for their foes in the Hulu Selangor by-election.

The prime minister also proved that his administration would not allow itself to be held to ransom by the group when he fulfilled one of his primary pledges to the Chinese community of Rasa by giving the promised RM3 to rebuild SRJK (Cina) Rasa at his office here this afternoon.

“I have already made a pledge that all promises that we made in the by-election would be delivered. It is not true that just because the Chinese community did not give us their votes, we would ignore them,” he told those present when presenting the cheque for the school.

The BN had clinched the parliamentary seat during Sunday’s polls but had failed to recapture support from the Chinese community, which form nearly 27 per cent of the 64,500 electorate.

Results from the polls showed that just over 20 per cent of the community had voted for the BN, down from the 35 per cent it had managed to garner during Election 2008.

Perkasa president Datuk Ibrahim Ali was quick to jump on this and had called the community “ungrateful”.

He had also called on the BN government not to fulfill its pledges to the community, earning himself much flak from the Chinese-based parties in the BN like MCA and Gerakan.

That's the way man ! Tell the Shit Stirrer to go fly kite in Kelantan !
