OCT 8 — Tan Sri Dr Koh Tsu Koon is like an ant on a hot pan!

Like George Foreman, the boxer who made a comeback at an old age, people think time is no longer with Tun Dr Lim Keng Yaik.

Nevertheless, he took to the ring, grabbed the opportunity, and threw out his fists.

Not anticipating that the old man could be so merciless, his opponent received a few blows and staggered.

The audience burst into an uproar, almost ready to charge onto the ring, not to halt the fight but to join in the game, helping the ex-president to confront the incumbent president.

There should have been a referee at least to ring the bell and stop the fight.

But Datuk Seri Najib Razak was too far away (in Belgium) to put out the fire.

At least the DPM should come in and mediate. Indeed he did hold out a helping hand, but that hand is for Lim Keng Yaik.

Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin wanted Tsu Koon to listen to Keng Yaik, which I think is weird. How can we get an incumbent minister to listen to an ex-minister, and an incumbent president to listen to an ex-president?

And Datuk Seri Dr Chua Soi Lek has chosen to shut himself out, imploring the Gerakan boss not to attend the MCA general assembly.

That puts Tsu Koon, who has said he would shun the Gerakan EGM because of the MCA general assembly, in complete embarrassment.

We do not need to be reminded of the awkward relationship between MCA and Gerakan: He will not forget to stab you from behind when you need him most.

Sure enough, Gerakan has done the same thing to MCA before.

What should the ant on a hot pan do to save himself from annihilation?

Two ways: Jump out from the pan, or cool down the pan.

The first option is hard to execute, as this is not Koh’s personal problem but that of Gerakan Rakyat.

With the party now losing its direction and its members disunited, who would take over the baton and restore the order of the party even if Tsu Koon is willing to call it quits?

It is equally difficult to cool down the pan.

Keng Yaik has vowed to tour around the country and lobby for support, while the flame of anti-Teng Hock Nan movement will keep burning and slowly threatening Tsu Koon. This, coupled with the gross dissatisfaction of party members, will only raise the temperature of the pan further.

But to be fair, are Keng Yaik and the anti-Teng movement morally right?

What good did Keng Yaik do when he was presiding over Gerakan? All he did was to mix a bowl of fabulous Penang Hokkien Mee with the Ipoh Hor Fun, and the concoction put many customers off.

And then he passed the stall to Tsu Koon, who added the Lontong from Chow Kit into the Hokkien Mee-Hor Fun mix, sending whatever remaining customers fleeing.

As for the anti-Teng movement in the party, a few minor stakeholders of the stall smashed up the stall because they couldn’t secure the right to run the stall.

The problem is that Tsu Koon vows to keep his Mr Niceguy image, and a Mr Niceguy would not succeed in his endeavours.

People are pushing him to a corner, but if he can wake up and change, it will be a good thing not only to him but also his party. — mysinchew.com

This guy is a political survivor , after all there are even many cases of politicians sleeping for five years only to wake up to find they have been re-elected . As they say , man proposes , god disposes , not you to decide who goes , who survives , who lives , who dies ! His good karma being a Niceguy should earn him good points for consideration .

Of politicians and impostors

If in broad daylight someone walks in the street completely naked, shouting at the top of his voice that he can save this world...err That must be Ong Ka Ting the saviour

And if everyone else flocks towards him, believes in him, worships him, and embraces him, then this man must be a prophet. That must be Ong Tee Keat

But if people are least perturbed, see him in contempt, or lodge a police report to get him apprehended or transferred to a lunatic asylum, then this man is but insane. That must be Ong Ka Ting

Similarly, if someone jumps out after having retired , runs for the presidency, and says the same thing, how would you react?

Trust him, and he could be your leader. No , never trust him , he is an opportunist

Sceptical, and he must be a liar.

If you have a mixed bag of feelings towards him like OTK , then he is a politician.

Politicians, without fear or favour, are all lumped between the two extremes of bona fide leaders and impostors.

Sometimes, depending on their effort or luck, some of them could be elevated from politicians to leaders while others from politicians to impostors.

Some 2,000 MCA central delegates will be making their choices next week. Are they going to elect a leader, a politico, or worse still an impostor?

It's not the first time people get swindled.

In the past, some people packaged themselves as righteous saviours with their flowery language and moral discourses. But now, people are searching under this external packaging to probe their sincerity.

In the past, some people made a multitude of pledges. But now, people are inspecting whether these pledges have been honoured. Like "Long Life Learning" which Confucius say don't get confused and makes all the members become voting machines .

In the past, some people loudly chanted their reform slogans. But now, people are examining whether things remain much the same as they were. Like we have discuss in cabinet ..

In the past, some people said they would go through thick and thin with the party and the community. But now, people are digging out the truth whether these people have really gone an extra mile just for their own well-being.

To be honest, the responsibility does not lie solely with the politicos. People holding the ballots in their hands should also be held accountable too.

When someone tells you: Follow me, and I shall deliver you to the Promised Land! I shall give you more Along licenses and illegal DVD manufacturing fake licenses !

Do we really have enough wisdom at least to ask: Why should I follow you? Hence judge whether this is a prophet or a lunatic or a triad tiger general .

In a similar manner, when a candidate says: Elect me, and I promise...

The voters or delegates should ask: Why should I elect you?

The problem is that many people have forgotten how to ask why.

Deep in their hearts, these people are already seen as heroes or prophets. All they need is follow their footsteps.

We need genuine leaders, and have an obligation to teach the politicos and impostors a lesson that we are not all that dumb and you cannot keep cheating us. And that person is Ong Tee Keat !

Fcuking Racist !

DEC 10 — “Bloody Racist!” That was how Datuk Seri Nazri Aziz called Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad.

And I would like to crown it with a 5-star rating, an absolute top quote of the year!

Recalling what Dr Mahathir said and did during his political career spanning half a century, these two words seem so all-inclusive and appropriate.

And Nazri has enlightened and invigorated everyone of us with the latest nickname he has conferred the former PM.

While being an underclass colloquialism, the English word “bloody” is nevertheless an excellent true-to-life expression applicable by people from the underclass to the intelligentsia and nobles.

The word itself doesn’t carry its own meaning; neither does it have a specific word when translated into another language. It is most definitely not “something blood-stained.”

It is, of course, a reinforcing adjective which can be loosely interpreted as “disgusting,” “damned it,” or “fxxx,” among others.

Of course, the highlight lies with the word that immediately trails it, which, if matched properly, should serve to depict the situation in a much more vivid manner.

For instance, the “bloody racist” Nazri has called Dr Mahathir could be understood as — in a lighter way —”the disgusting racist,” or — in a heavier manner — “the fxxxxxg racist.”

Is Dr Mahathir a racist? If even his Umno comrade has said so, that shouldn’t be so much a question anymore! And Mahathir has indeed admitted that he is a racist!

It doesn’t really matter that much if he was just trying to play it cheap, so long as he didn’t drag the country’s honour with him.

Sure enough, we have racists all around us, and this is nothing new.

Not if the racist is not having all the power with him!

During his 22-year tenure as the helmsman of the nation, Dr Mahathir indeed messed up inter-racial relationship, so much so that the word “polarisation” has become a common word in many people’s mouths.

If we were to hold someone responsible, who else if not Dr Mahathir?

Let’s put aside what is now a bygone. Anyone with the slightest rationality and common sense would rise up and hit hard at the national brainwash centre — Biro Tatanegara (BTN) — for chronically instilling racist ideologies and inciting ethnic emotions among its multiracial followers.

Only people like Dr Mahathir and his fellow hawks in Umno, along with Utusan Malaysia and Berita Harian, would throw their full support behind BTN and wax lyrical on its “great contributions.”

Where lies their motive? Where lies their conscience?

Don’t forget: BTN was brought up in the hands of Dr Mahathir.

This “Rosemary’s Baby” was indeed Dr Mahathir’s blue-eyed baby!

Nazri should be lauded for saying the right thing and finding the right definition for “BR.”

The weird thing is, our Chinese and Indian ministers have had their lips largely zipped over the BTN issue!

The BTN controversy has accidentally brought out the hawks and doves within UMNO.

Each side has its own say on whether to revamp the BTN curriculum, which has since become the ring for their power wrestling.

In the beginning, DPM Muhyiddin Yassin said there was no problem with BTN, which was in full conformity to the national policies.

Very soon, a few UMNO ministers, including agriculture minister Noh Omar and women, family and community development minister Sharizat Jalil, followed suit.

In a lapse of several days, minister in the PM's department Mohamed Nazri let out a different tune. He said the Cabinet was already reviewing the BTN's problems and found its curriculum not in compliance with the "1Malaysia" spirit, and had made the decision to revamp its content.

Nazri was obviously saying something quite different from some of his colleagues. Besides, he divulged very expressly the timing of the Cabinet's reviewing of BTN as well as its decision on the content.

That sounds weird. Since the Cabinet has made the decision, why did the DPM and a few other ministers sing in a completely different tune?

Deputy minister in the PM's department Ahmad Maslan called up a high-profile media conference and offered his explanation. He said BTN had not done anything wrong and there would be no need for revamp of its curriculum. Instead, he said an additional "1Malaysia" module would be introduced.

Many people might not know Ahmad Maslan too well, thinking that he was just another deputy minister without much say.

But, this guy carries a different kind of identity. He is not only the helmsman at BTN but also UMNO's information chief!

Given his background, it is indeed no easy task for him to take over a position that only a veteran leader has the capacity to shoulder.

Talking about the BTN curriculum, this gentleman said the BTN was only trying to instill Malay sovereignty and racist content from the objective factual perspectives not in violation of the "1Malaysia" spirit.

His remarks were representative of the extreme rightists within UMNO, a kind of typical defender for Malay nationalism.

Although he was explicitly pointing his finger at Lim Kit Siang, it doesn't take a lot of wisdom for anyone to figure out that he was actually aiming his arrow at Nazri.

This has grossly infuriated Nazri, who questioned whether the minister or the deputy minister had been represented in the Cabinet meeting, and how a deputy minsiter should question his superior's remarks.

On BTN's curriculum and the question of Malay sovereignty, Nazri said the Malay sovereignty was not about the sovereignty of Malay people, but of the Malay rulers and sultans, and as such, it didn't mean the Malays were more superior compared to other races.

Well known for his fiery temper, Nazri is nevertheless a relatively moderate and open-minded person in the midst of UMNO's ministers.

Moreover, his legal background has allowed him to act in a more rational and logical manner.

Among the factions of UMNO, he is said to be closer to Najib, and has won the trust of the PM.

The conflicts between Nazri and Ahmad Maslan has now come to the feet of Muhyiddin Yassin. All eyes are now on the DPM where he would stand.

Muhyiddin's stand couldn't be clearer. He said, "As the person in charge of BTN, Ahmad Maslan has made the necessary explanation."

NOV 16 – Who is the top leader of Pakatan Rakyat? Everyone knew it was Datuk Ser Anwar Ibrahim. Until now.

Only he could draw PKR, DAP and PAS together; only he had a wealth of administrative experience; only he could push ahead the two-line system, only he had a unique political charisma; only he ....

However, these things that could be done “only” by him are gradually fading.

So, where is Anwar today?

He is in the United States. And the next moment, he is in the Middle East, then Indonesia … he is always hurrying here, there, being seen in different countries.

He has an excellent international popularity and image and is seen as the representative of a moderate Islamic society, “Mr Democracy” of the developing countries, as well as a bridge of communication between Western countries and the Muslim community.

Such a role has turned him into an international favourite. Universities and think tanks of the Unites States, the ruling and opposition political parties in Europe, Arab governments and semi-official organisations, as well as non-governmental organisations in Asia and Africa, all like him.

But, while he is still famous to the world, his heat in domestic politics has started to cool down.

Some PKR members have quit the party while Selangor PKR has been rife with infighting, Sabah PKR is close to collapse and the party’s morale has been flagg.

Anwar seems quite helpless while all these are happening.

The three component parties are struggling and Pakatan Rakyat is gradually losing its direction. It has failed to capture the people’s passion and resist the offensive of BN. Anwar seems to have no strength to make a change.

Anwar has lost his focus. He should have focused on domestic politics, revive PKR and lead it towards development. However, he has not played the role well.

His failure to change the regime on Sept 16 is a blow to his credibility and, at the same time, it has affected his own psychological qualities. Obviously, his self-confidence and charm have greatly reduced.

Of course, the approaching sodomy case puts heavy pressure on him. If or when he is convicted, his political future will probably be put on hold abruptly. Even if he can win the case, it will consume a lot of his spirit and will.

At this very moment, Datuk Zaid Ibrahim, who was brought into the party by Anwar, has said that PAS spiritual leader Datuk Nik Abdul Aziz Nik Mat, instead of Anwar, should helm Pakatan Rakyat after its registration as a formal coalition.

Even though it is merely a suggestion, it is still a blow to Anwar. At the very least, the role of the “informal Pakatan Rakyat leader” that he used to enjoy before has now been questioned. Moreover, it comes from PKR itself instead of PAS or DAP.

Objectively speaking, Nik Aziz is not good enough to replace Anwar when taking into considering factors such as age, physical condition, qualifications and modern thinking.

But Anwar, who is gradually losing his fighting spirit and increasingly ensnared in legal suits, has indeed disappointed and worried many of his supporters.

So, who is the top leader of Pakatan Rakyat? The question may not seem so urgent at the moment but it demands immediate attention on whether Anwar can pick himself up and scale another peak. – mysinchew.com

Anyone saw this fcuking bastard talk on Astro AEC last night ?

I nearly wanted to puke watching him spinning all those lies about Ong Tee Keat and his analysis of MCA power play !. I call it a BULL , the more I see him the more I feel that one day I might be tempted to either spit at him in public or slap him in his face in public . Just wait .

If my memory serves me right , he mentioned couple of things with pictures and figures .

Issues brought up by him :

a) On Teek Keat's stomach illness . Same story , sick to elaborate , might effect my stomach also .

b) On him leaving the govt as ordered by Najib and Muhyidin . That his office has been cleared of everything and that he is resigning as MCA President . They even pasted a photo there showing his MCA President's room empty . Great spin by a great fcuking idiot .

On closer look , you'll find that the photo was taken when Ong Ka Ting left office and Ong was photograph in the room after just having won the Presidency . There is no way they could have entered the President's room recently without Ong inside as security has always been very tight .
I was told that Guang Ming also mentioned that his office in Putra Jaya has been cleared of his personal things , can you beleive that ? that the MOT would allow reporters or journalists into the Minister's room to take photographs without the Minister around .

c) Showed a picture with LTL having 14 CC supporting him , CSL with 7 CC supporting him , OTK with just 6 CC with 3 remaining CC undecided .

My question to him : On 10/10 during the EGM , OTK got 50 percent of the votes with the rest ie : CSL+LTL+WKS+CMF+LLS+OKT+OKC+TiongKS + Tiong sinchew+ ARMNO+Triads only manage to get the balance 50 percent . Just to add , those CC's align to Liow , when they contested , they were in the caitan , menu , that delegates voted en bloc . Would they be still be supported by the delegates now that they have shown their true colors ? Would Liow still continue to enjoy such support now that his image is of Brutus or FGZ ?

d)He showed another picture with their support , LTL having 45 percent support and CSL same with Ong Tee Keat having only 10 percent support . Same here , the above applies ..OTK got 50 percent of the votes with the rest ie : CSL+LTL+WKS+CMF+LLS+OKT+OKC+TiongKS + Tiong sinchew+ ARMNO+Triads only manage to get the balance 50 percent . I think I can be a better political analyst than him , that fcuking bastard from that fcuking unmentionable newspaper .

Did I miss anything out ?? Oh yeah he did a combination of all the possible pair up for the fresh elections WITHOUT OTK , CSL with NYY , CSL with KCH and Liow with OKC . Let me say this ,

I do not wish to comment on something which I think will not happen . Only some great fcuking idiot thinks it will happen and spinning it . No CC is resigning and as No CC is resigning Liow will not get his two thirds CC resigning and thus No fresh elections . Simple as that , but he did not even mention a word about the requirements needed to hold a fresh election . What was required as stipulated in the Party Constitution .

I am not a MCA member nor I am involved in any political party. My concerns lies in the unbecoming state of a reputable newspaper like Sin Chew being bought down single-handedly by a certain individual named Tay Tian Yan. I do not know him personally nor do I have any conflicts nor grudges with him. Of late he seems to be on an OVER-DRIVE mission to kill off Ong Tee Keat's career. Why the Hatred? Is he under instructions by top people or anyone? Is he under threat that undermine his life?

I am appalled to read Mr Tay Tian Yan constant malicious attack on Ong Tee Keat. His commentaries stem from personal grudges as personal emotions takes precedence which afflicts every piece of writing that he under takes. For example he will state that Ong Tee Keat is the worst MCA president but again his writings are not substantiated by any research, methodologies & findings.

If you run through Tee Keat's face book or speak to any uncles and aunties in the street they will salute him for his bravery in upholding his principles against the Mighty Giants of Corruption. A fine example is the PKFZ issue which is the Mother of All Scandals! There is also a Merdeka survey conducted stating his popularity with the masses.

It is really sad that journalism in Malaysia had been reduced to gutter and tabloid reporting to churned out writer's whims and fancies without any responsibilities in reporting.

Is he harboring any personal grudge against a certain individual or is he protecting a larger issue which someone known to him is implicated? I am not a forensics scientist nor a psychologist but I am trained since young to respect the truth and Not tell lies with my eyes wide open.

Of course Tee Keat only flaw was he made a pledge based on the assumption that he will quit if he loose the Oct 10 EGM based on fair play. Unfortunately this EGM was “rigged” manipulated and betrayed by Brutus, Judas and gang (third force ). Under such unusual circumstances No sane person will quit and play into the hands of scheming deceptors. For this he was punished by saying he did Not honour his pledge. Wake up we are in the 21^st century. We have intelligence to detect foul play . Any kid will tell you that foul play in not acceptable.

Mr Sin Chew please do not shove things down our throats by claiming that you represent our ideals and aspirations. We are mature enough to judge with our Mind Faculty.

It is high time that Sin Chew takes responsibilities against certain individuals who is using the high pedestal office to kill someone off prematurely. I have high regards for professional reporting but to dish out rumor mongering is a definite negative.

Do NOT let your newspaper suffer the same fate like an English daily which once upon a time enjoys high readership but subject to malice by a few rotten apples letting the flame of good journalism flicker away!

It was immoral to break his own words and now, someone actually lied on what happened during the EGM on 10 Oct and involved Master Hsing Yun in the issue. It shows that we can no longer find credibility in MCA."

OCT 26 — With only a simple sentence — “personal pledge is no big deal but public trust is” — no one dares asking MCA president Datuk Seri Ong Tee Keat to step down now.

Even if he doesn't keep his word, even if he has intermittently lost his memory, even if his reputation and credibility have been destroyed, so what? It's no big deal.

Because the Chinese community... oops, should be the Malaysian community, the whole world community would be more appropriate, is having tremendous expectations for him. How can he just wave and go?

He cannot go as the world has expectations for him. The Chinese community will collapse, the Malaysian community will have a bleak future while the end of the world will be coming soon if he leaves.

Therefore, who dares ask him to go? What's the big deal with the trifling 14 votes at the extraordinary general meeting (EGM), the central committee's signature campaign and “being ambushed from all directions”?

Since the sentence is very powerful that it can turn bad into good, under Ong’s leadership MCA should be able to promote the spirit behind the sentence, including becoming indomitable, more courageous and ever-victorious, to highlight the Chinese cultural essence.

At this point, I would like to give a few examples to show how the sentence can be widely used:

The central delegates' decision is no big deal but the president's position is. Therefore, the central delegates should not complain about why the voting result is not playing its role here.

Infighting is no big deal but the intervention of an outsider is powerful. MCA is incapable of handling its own affairs and has to rely on the external power. Don't worry about losing face, it has always been like that. All you have to do is get used to it.

Trauma is no big deal but internal injury is. After fighting for a whole year, MCA leaders have been badly wounded but don't worry, these are only traumas. Just apply some ointment to the cuts. However, as a political party, its tarnished image, loss of direction and ruined credibility are all internal injuries which may claim its life.

Forcing an abdication is no big deal but being wary of eavesdroppers is. It is said that during a secret meeting of the central committee, someone actually leaked information, allowing the president to break the plan. Farting is no big deal but letting others to know about it is.

The central committee had been blasting Ong, making several calls for him to resign. But today, it has fallen silent and no one dares to admit that it wishes that Ong abdicates.

Sexual activity is no big deal but being videotaped is: wise remarks by experienced former deputy president Datuk Seri Dr Chua Soi Lek.

Personal morality is no big deal but loosing positions is. They sacked Dr Chua by stressing on morality before this but are throwing the sex DVD and morality into the rubbish bin now. — mysinchew.com
