An irresponsibility, ungrateful and heartless man

Ong Ka Ting, the MCA President married Esther Low Ah Eng on 11 July, 1982.

Esther was actively involved in MCA politics in Wilayah Persekutuan then. They were both financially poor. Ka Ting asked Esther then to go into business to help him build up his financial status.

Together with siblings from both family, they started a company. Esther was made the Managing Director & Ka Ting as one of the signatory of the company bank account No: 1403911166-1 in Malayan Banking Bhd. Jln Sultan K.L. and Public Bank Bhd. Damansara Utama PJ, as Ka Ting was the chairman of the company at all material time( he is the key person behind the company) even he was still a government servant.

Esther's brother was asked later to charge his bungalow house for overdraft facilities.

During their marriage, Esther even bought a car WV1127 for Ka Ting*s usage. After they divorced in October 1985, Esther was asked to transfer the car to him. However, the car was later sold by Ong Ka Ting and he did not give the proceeds of sale to her despite her difficulty financially.

Esther & the brothers were also sued by Maybank being the guarantors for the company in the sum of RM65,000.00. Even though they approached Ka Ting for help since he was the one who initiated and responsible for the setting up and the business of the company, he not only refused to help but threaten to put the ex-wife to jail if she were expose/reveal this matter.

Today, Esther's brother (Liew Ah Kow @ Lau Choon Bok, Law Choo Heng) are still under bankruptcy charges by bank.

Despite his irresponsibility, heartless and ungrateful attitude in handling this matter, who apparently made use of his ex-wife to establish his career and finance , then dumped her and remarried, he managed to mask himself and deceive the public as morally upright man.

A hypocrite like him has streered the public into wrong perception of moral standing, assuming by irresponsibility, ungrateful and heartless attitude are not important in a leadership's quality.

Beware that such leader like Ka Ting will only deceive the public / organisation in many issues by disguising / masking himself with many faces and lead the organisation to disaster one day... He then would certainly shed away the responsibilities and point fingers to others. more here

On 26th September, 1981, I and Mr.Ong Ka Ting was registered as husband and wife, Our wadding dinner was held on 11th July, 1982.

Both of us are very active in MCA politic in Wilayah Persekutuan and nationally. Immediately after we got married, Mr.Ong Ka Ting asked me not to be too active in MCA politic and asked me to concentrate in business and to support him financially.

When we got married, Mr.Ong Ka Ting was a teacher in a secondary school in Kuala Selangor, In 1983 Mr.Ong Ka Ting was transferred to Catholic High School in Petaling Jaya. In 1986 Mr.Ong Ka Ting resigned as a teacher and became Datuk Ling Liong Sik's Personal Assistant.

MCA presidential aspirant Ong Ka Ting, contrary to popular belief, did not retire from politics after not seeking re-election at the party polls in 2008. He was busy doing what he does best - conspiring and hatching sinister plots. And he was about to mastermind the greatest MCA comeback in history - that of his own, to re-claim the party presidency.

It started even before he gave up his post. On grounds of impartiality, as the then MCA president, Ong Ka Ting decided not to stir the hornet's nest with the complaint lodged by a Johor leader against Dr Chua's DVD case. Instead, Ka Ting decided to pass the time bomb to his successor, Ong Tee Keat.

He knew that the stupid and arrogant Ong Tee Keat could not stand the sight of Dr Chua Soi Lek. That's when Ka Ting made use of Wanita chief and on-off girlfriend, Chew Mei Fun to instigate Tee Keat to sack the duly-elected Health Minister on grounds that Dr Chua was a disgrace to the party.

Poor Tee Keat took the bait hook, line and sinker. The wheels of Ong Ka Ting's return was set in motion the day the disciplinary board proceeded with Dr Chua's case. By doing so, Ka Ting knew the party would be split into two. True to Ka Ting's expectations, Dr Chua called for an EGM.

During the weeks leading to the Oct 10 EGM, Ka Ting took firm control of the maneouverings with the backing of his brother, Ka Chuan. And thus, The Third Force came into being.

Using his extensive network, Ka Ting got his boys and girls to ensure both Tee Keat and Dr Chua were ousted during the EGM. The "bonus" came when Tee Keat was hoodwinked into agreeing to accept the resolutions by Dr Chua's faction in toto.

(The then legal bureau head, Leong Tang Chong, was instrumental in Tee Keat arriving at the decision, made on the 7th Floor of the Ministry of Transport hours before negotiations on the EGM from both sides were to commence. Leong Tang Chong, who was rumoured to be romantically-linked to a pseudo blogger, was Ka Ting's appointee in The Star as it's chairman.)

By accepting Dr Chua's resolutions without any changes, Ka Ting knew the president and the deputy were as good as gone. He knew that when both sides were almost equally-strong, a few votes difference was all it took to get rid of both. And the 10/10 EGM proved just that. Tee Keat lost the no-confidence motion by a mere 14 votes.

Although Ka Ting miscalculated the readiness of Tee Keat and Dr Chua to patch up so quickly after the EGM, the ex-president was back on his feet in no time. He got Liow Tiong Lai to lead his (Ka Ting's) own men like Ho Kok Chung, Wee Jeck Seng and Chew Mei Fun into submitting their conditional resignation letters.

And then, using intermidiaries like Tan Sri Tan Kay Hock from Johan Holdings, he instigated Dr Chua's boys into doing the same. He fuelled the mistrust between Tee Keat and Dr Chua and convinced Dr Chua's supporters that they had the largest bloc of votes and Dr Chua should not play second fiddle to Tee Keat.

March 4 came and Dr Chua could no longer hold his boys, hence the mass resignation which triggered the fresh poll.

And even before it hit Dr Chua, Ka Ting had already placed his boys all over the country asking them to plead for his return. Then, he dropped another hint in a NTV7 interview saying he would return if need be. By the time Ka Ting made the announcement official, Dr Chua's gameplan for the poll was already out of the window. It was back to the drawing board for a new series of horse-trading, number-crunching and clandestine discussions.

That was why Dr Chua held back the official announcement until less than 24 hours before nominations. Others like Kong Cho Har and Liow also announced late, thanks to Ka Ting who finally came out to foil their plans which did not factor in the Ka Ting equation.

So, there you have it. A master politician, who's a genius in scheming and plotting. And one who delivered the votes to Pakatan Rakyat on a silver platter during the last general election. God bless MCA to have such a talented leader.

Kedah MCA snubs Ka Ting

KUALA LUMPUR, March 25 — In what appears to be a direct snub, 14 of the 15 divisions in the Kedah MCA have rejected former party president Tan Sri Ong Ka Ting’s invitation to a luncheon scheduled for tomorrow, forcing the presidential candidate to cancel it at the last moment.

The party’s state deputy chairman, Datuk Chong Itt Chew, told The Malaysian Insider that the luncheon had initially been fixed for 12.30pm in Sungai Petani but due to the poor response, Ka Ting had to cancel it.

“We just say ‘padan muka’ (serves him right) to him. He had to move the lunch gathering to Seberang Jaya in Penang instead,” said Chong when contacted today.

The obvious snub, said Chong, was solid proof that Ka Ting did not command any support from the state’s 173 central delegates unlike what was claimed in a Chinese daily last week. Must be Sinchew , very sure of it !

The report, he said, had claimed that Ka Ting had 60 per cent support of the central delegates in Kedah, which was not correct.

“I cannot answer you why Kedah divisions do not support Ka Ting but generally, we feel that he simply should not re-enter the party and join the presidential race,” he said.

He added that only Sungai Petani division chairman Datuk Beh Heng Tiong had agreed to attend the luncheon.

“Even then, he is a staunch supporter of (former deputy president Datuk Seri) Dr Chua Soi Lek,” he said.

Dr Chua is one of Ka Ting’s contenders in the three-way race for the party presidency in the polls this Sunday. The two will face incumbent president Datuk Seri Ong Tee Keat.

Chong said Beh had only agreed to attend the function as his brother, former Kedah MCA division chairman Datuk Beh Heng Seong, had organised it.

“He was only coming to give face to his brother,” said Chong, who is allied to Dr Chua as well and is contesting for a post in the party’s central committee.

Meanwhile, another central committee candidate, Loh Seng Kok, claimed that despite positive reports of Ka Ting’s trip to meet Sabah delegates yesterday, the latter had actually received a poor welcome from the state’s more than 25 divisions.

“Only four division chairmen turned up,” he said.

This, he added, was in spite of the fact that Ka Ting had once led the Sabah liaison body.

KUALA LUMPUR: Former MCA secretary-general Ting Chew Peh has openly expressed his contempt for presidential hopeful Ong Ka Ting, calling the former MCA president a “recycled leader”.

“Recycling is for solid waste,” he told a press conference here today. “It’s good for the environment but not for human resource.”

Ka Ting is involved in a three-cornered fight for the president's post with incumbent Ong Tee Keat and former deputy president Dr Chua Soi Lek in the presidential contest on March 28.

Ting quoted a Chinese proverb and likened Ka Ting to someone who leaves a company but returns in the guise of a “saviour” even after promising to stay out of company affairs.

"This is selfish and foolish," he said. "It's unfair to the new leadership and staff. It is time to move forward and let a new generation run the show."

Ting also slammed leaders who proclaimed their loyalty to the party, but were nowhere to be seen when the party was facing a crisis. But he came down particularly hard on Ka Ting.

"If a president is really good, there is no need to quit," said Ting. "And once you quit, stay out and allow someone capable to take over.”

Unless, of course, if it is INSAP, a think-tank run by MCA, in which case the top priority would be to hold weekly badminton practices and reward cronies. When Ong Ka Ting was the MCA president, that was precisely what happened.

Run by a woman he co-opted from the American Chambers of Commerce (AMCHAM), the only KPI Ong Ka Ting set for INSAP was how many namecards the staff can collect each week from cocktail parties especially in the diplomatic circuit.

Every Friday, INSAP would book badminton courts at the Bt Kiara Sports Complex, a short distance from Damansara Jaya, where Ong Ka Ting lives. Joining them of course, was Wendy Ong, Ka Ting's second wife.

Besides that AMCHAM woman (who doesn't play although she could shed more than a few pounds just by lifting the racquets), is Rita Sim, Ka Ting's proxy in Sin Chew newspaper which hooked the AMCHAM woman to Ka Ting. Both knew the importance of taking care of MCA's First Lady, in the same way Umno boys suck up to Rosmah.

Besides sporting events, INSAP has also become an ATM for Ka Ting's cronies. One of them is his ex-press secretary, Ng Kian Nam, who went on to join the elder Ong in the Housing and Local Government Ministry.

One day, Kian Nam the smart alec leaked to Bernama and Sin Chew Daily that his own boss, Ka Chuan had tendered a resignation letter as Minister to new dickhead MCA president Ong Tee Keat. Kian Nam thought he was doing his boss a favour. It backfired and for that Kian Nam was given the boot - and a hefty pay rise!!

He ended up in the MCA HQ's political education centre, but draws a five-figure salary from INSAP, which is chaired by Kapar land-grabber Tan Sri Lau Yin Pin.

Another crony who draws a salary from INSAP is the guy who runs the life long learning centre. The lawyer, who claims to be doing voluntary work in the centre, was actually paid RM12,000 a month from INSAP. On top of that, his firm got tonnes of lucrative conveyancing jobs for housing projects from the Housing and Local Government Ministry.

What about position papers? Of course INSAP did some work in that department too. It came up with the life long learning idea to turn a political party into a centre for career-minded people to further their education. Political work? MCA kept that aside, of course during Ong Ka Ting's time.

And oh yeah, it also came up with a brillant idea during the 308 general election campaign. The theme? Plead to voters to understand that political table-thumping is a no-go compared with subservience and behind-closed-doors dialogues. Wonderful.

Still wondering why March 8 happened? All because Ong Ka Ting bothered listening to INSAP.

Crisis and opportunity, MCA in the worst of times, and paradoxically in the best of times. There is no need to write and re-write the comical, twisted events for a much jaded public and an even more exhausted community. We shall attempt to zero in on what may help put the issues in clearer perspectives.
That the once venerable party has sunk to its lowest depths is clear, one wonders what former deputy premier Tun Dr Ismail Abdul Rahman would say today. His famous 'MCA tidak hidup tak mati' remark post-1969 would probably resonate well with the Chinese community today.
Its leaders are perceived as corrupted and self-serving, whose only ambition is to be and remain ministers. There are no clear visions or road-maps to speak of. It has been trounced in almost every seat with a substantial Chinese majority.

It is stuck, even trapped in its own dogma, unable to attract new passionate members, unable to re-brand or re-position its relevance to an increasingly demanding and aware electorate.
Yet, in this crisis, there is the greatest opportunity since 1974 to reinvent the party.
The March 2008 general election debacle, the increasingly desperate hopes of the party faithful, a community no longer expecting much of the party, Barisan Nasional partners using the party as a claim to its veneer or multi-racialism; this is paradoxically the best of times to bring forth radical out-of-the-box reforms that will and must re-create a new branding and identity for the party.
The party is arguably the richest political organisation in Malaysia, with sustainable recurrent income of RM60 million or more annually and assets of more than a billion ringgit. What is needed now is a great sincere transformational leadership .
As such, the first issue that should be dissected is to determine which of the three presidental candidates is most likely to bring forth that possibility .

From the best to the worst

When Ong Tee Keat took over the presidency, the conditions were already in place for transformational leadership. As a much touted maverick he brought much hope to those hoping for a revival. He was challenged by a former close friend and adviser on whether he wanted to be just another president or aspired to be the greatest MCA leader. In short, he had the free rein to reform the party then.
One and a half years on, he has been called the worst MCA president ever. His omnipresent reminders about his sacrifices, his tragic hero role is sounding tiresome. His declared brave war against the warlords of PKFZ contradicts his enjoyment of the warlord's private jet.
He even outdid Neo Yee Pan in sackings after sackings of perceived rivals as if the party was his private company. His fatal error in not keeping to his vow to step down should he lose the EGM last October cost him his last bragging rights - his avowed integrity or as they like to say in Chinese movies, his perceived righteousness.
As for vision and strategies to re-invent the party, all he did was nothing beyond re-shuffling the party's newspaper The Star to install his spin doctors.
The clearest indictment of his short reign is perhaps the turning away of his once close adviser and probably MCA's best strategist for the last 20 years Wong Mook Leong, who resigned in disgust from the central committee.
Tee Keat is now campaigning on allowing him to finish his agenda. Was there ever an outlined clear agenda or was it all war drums?
It would take many, many naive delegates to see his re-election indeed.

Return of old president

The surprise was, of course, Ong Ka Ting's return to the ring. Whatever the motivation or reason given, there is truly a need for a third and more palatable choice. Surely in the hearts and minds of many a delegate there must be a wish for a giant of a man; a proven leader of men with vision, integrity and courage who can appear and lead MCA out of the wilderness.
Contrary to popular belief, Ka Ting's presidency was not a result of the peace accord between Team A and Team B in 2003. He as former president Dr Ling Liong Sik's preferred successor was already planned by Ling and his advisers back in 1995. Despite his obvious lack of charisma, Ling stuck to his plan and Ka Ting took over upon his mentor's resignation.
Ka Ting's leadership will forever be known for two major milestones: the introduction of the three-term limit for key leadership positions, and the 2008 general election debacle.
The three-term limit rule was the result of aggressive and continuous pressure from key reformists led by Mook Leong, and to Ka Ting's credit he supported it. However, the events and leadership or the lack of it leading to the general election debacle must be on his shoulders. Ka Ting's leadership is generally agreed as insipid and colourless.
He is certainly not the man that can revive the party. He might have a chance if he campaigns on a more believable theme, that his mission is to prepare the party for transformational leadership change come the next party elections.

The better choice?

Dr Chua Soi Lek meanwhile has certainly stunned the pundits with his comeback win as deputy president and the fact that he is a serious contender today speaks volumes of his tenacity. Compared to the other two, his not having been president is a major plus as the other two had a go and blew their chances.
Chua's strength and weakness is his daring-do, his devil-may-care, hell-for-leather attitude. When he was in the Johor Exco, and while he was the health minister, stories were abound of him stepping on numerous toes.
On top of all these, there is also the sex scandal as whatever credit one can give him for his brutal admission, his rapid decisive action to confront the issue and subsequent resignation, the questions of that scandal remain.
Surely at the back of every delegates' mind the thought will linger - can the man perform (no pun intended) at the no holds barred level of national politics?
His supporters brandish his courage and decisiveness as the very values needed to transform the party.
Chua needs to find clever ways to address the sex scandal issue. He has obviously done that to his core 40 plus percent delegates. If he can sell the same to another five percent directly or via a strategic alliance, he will win decisively.
Without the albatross of a failed presidency around his neck, and with the worst of battle scars behind him, Chua may well be paradoxically the better choice.

KOTA KINABALU, March 24 (Bernama) -- Former MCA president Tan Sri Ong Ka Ting has slammed the party's present leadership for "passing the buck" whenever something went wrong or when it stumbled on a problem. He said, while there were many good things initiated by him, the credit had gone to different people.

Commenting on Yip Sun Onn's resignation on Monday as Titi Tinggi state assemblyman -- supposedly triggered after he was dropped as exco member in line with the party's rotation arrangement -- Ka Ting said: "The current leadership could always make a review according to the situation. However, when it faces a problem, it passes the buck to me...so, I do not know what logic this is.

"You cannot say that because there was understanding on something before, the leadership blindly continued...I am not saying this particular decision (rotation system) is right or wrong. "The principle is this. The leadership of the day should be courageous enough to shoulder the responsibility on any decision it makes...(they) cannot say it was decided (during) Ong Ka Ting's time," he told reporters during the meeting with Sabah MCA delegates and grassroots here on Wednesday.

However, in Hong Kong this afternoon, Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak disclosed that Yip was still with the Barisan Nasional and would not be resigning as Titi Tinggi assemblyman.

Najib said he had received confirmation on the matter from Deputy Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin and Perlis Mentri Besar Datuk Seri Mohd Isa Sabu.

Yip was said to have been upset that he was not re-appointed state executive councillor at the swearing-in of elected representatives at Istana Arau last Friday, where Indera Kayangan state assemblyman Dr Por Choo Chor was appointed instead.

Asked to comment, MCA president Datuk Seri Ong Tee Keat on Tuesday said the party had no choice but to follow the rotation system for its representatives in the Perlis exco line-up, as it was agreed upon by the previous leadership (Ka Ting).

Tee Keat said he was made to understand there was an understanding between Ka Ting and the Perlis Government that the exco member's post was to be rotated between the two MCA assemblymen in Perlis, whereby, whoever took up the post would only be allowed to serve half a term.

Ka Ting said that previously, if there was anything of such nature, it was discussed at the Central Committee-level, adding that he did not discuss it with state leaders Did not discuss it with state leaders . You did not discuss it with state leaders ? You did not ? So who's responsible ? YOU are responsible , no one else !

Thus, he said, the next course of action should depend on the current leadership which took over from him.

"I hope all interested parties consult each other, find amicable solutions. I am always concerned. Although in this matter, I should not interfere because I am no longer in the Central Committee, we must face the challenges for the future," added the former party president.

KUALA LUMPUR, March 22 — Former MCA president Tan Sri Ong Ka Ting, who created headlines last week when he announced his intention to vie for the party presidency, has promised not to use Datuk Seri Dr Chua Soi Lek’s sex scandal as a part of his campaign for the polls this March 28.

Ka Ting, who is also up against incumbent Datuk Seri Ong Tee Keat in the presidential race, expressed disgust at the idea and gave his assurance that he would not launch personal attacks against either of his contenders. “I will not go on personal attacks, I will campaign according to my election manifesto,” he said.

He however added that he would duly rebut any bid by his contenders to launch personal attacks against him. “Of course, if people start anything against me, I would have to react to clear the air,” he said.

Ka Ting, who has been accused by certain quarters of being the mastermind behind Dr Chua’s sex scandal, promised he would not use the scandal as means to gain support for himself.

Ong Ka Ting has a think-tank and it is headed by Tan Sri Lau Yin Pin, the former MCA treasurer-general and chairman of INSAP, the party's official think-tank. But just who the hell is this guy?

Beneath the veneer of calmness, this bespectacled man from Terengganu is a cunning and greedy man. Everyone knows he has been given a litany of directorships from Ka Ting, including Star chairman, Tenaga board, Koperasi Serbaguna Malaysia, Kojadi, Huaren, etc. That makes him the perfect bagman for Ka Ting, the MCA president who screwed up MCA and now wants to screw it a second time. As Star chairman, he received an annual salary of RM200,000. Combined with income from the other companiess, he can afford to buy one bungalow every month, with a swimming pool thrown in.

But was Lau Yin Pin satisfied with what he was getting? Of course not. Between 2006 and 2008, he siphoned off RM3 million from Huaren Holdings, of which he was the chairman, to set up five companies, MIRC Incubator Sdn Bhd, MIRC Ingenious Technopreneur Venture Management Sdn Bhd, Byte One Technology Sdn Bhd, MIRC Ingenious Capital Partners Sdn Bhd and Xtrain Sdn Bhd. (see documents attached).

It was a perfect scam. Corroborating with Tan Sri Lau's and Ka Ting's cronies, they conned MCA of millions of ringgit. Now, these MCA-linked companies have either been sold off or are in various stages of being shut down. Anyway, IT companies are no-go for a political party. Why the hell does MCA want to invest in IT companies? The money could have been used for education or providing soft loans to businesses.

Next, is the Utar land issue in Section 13, PJ. When Tan Sri Lau was the Star chairman, he had wanted to develop the newspaper's old office (which now houses Utar University) into a commercial area. This includes a convention centre. Only God knows why MCA, Star or Utar needs a convention centre when there's already a glut in Malaysia (think KLCC, PICC, MINES, Sime Darby, etc).

When the stupid Ong Tee Keat's bagman Clement Hii took over The Star, he revised the project to house Star's radio units, Utar campus and hostels. Of course, Tan Sri Lau filpped and threw a fit of fury because he can no longer reward his cronies. So he leaked to the Sin Chew group of newspapers false news about how Clement Hii wanted to shut Utar when Tan Sri Lau was the one who wanted to fleece Star.

But then again, is anyone surprised? Tan Sri Lau has a lot of experience in land scams. In 2005, Tan Sri Lau made a false declaration to the Klang land office about a land application in Kg Perepat, Kapar, Klang. He had never stayed in that plot of land, but in so doing, had denied a poor Indian family who had been staying there of a roof over their heads. The man behind the mentally retarded , fat ass youth chief , what is he trying to do when he brought a group of eight to see Najib recently ? What is he trying to do to MCA when he propose to Najib that Chua Soi Lek be made the president and Liow be made the deputy president ? Why is he interfering in the current leadership when he was the one who propose that Ong should go for the presidency before the party elections in 2008 ? In the case of MCA, electorate confidence in the party has fallen to a rock bottom level of 5.5%. What ensued from the 308 defeat? The familiar vision that the president is like the furniture of the party faded. The MCA president then (Ong Ka Ting) declined a Cabinet appointment.

He also did not stand for re-election to the president’s position in October the same year. We have no knowledge if he, with his 5 ½ years in the chair and having experienced two general elections, handed over to the new man at the helm (Ong Tee Keat) any secret formula to repair the wounds of the 308 defeat.

If he did, let us try to understand the value in his suggestions, look at his analysis and let the new man benefit from his wisdom. If he has not, if he had merely handed over the party together with its liabilities to the new man, then he (the former president) is morally bound to work with the new team by injecting his experience into strategizing and planning for improving party performance and delivering positive results - the performance and result of the party in the next election.

It will take an almost impossible feat to restore electorate confidence in MCA from the rock bottom level of 5.5% back to the good old days of above 50%.

This guy in my opinion doesn't have the substance to be a President of MCA . His raise to that position was by default , meaning he was not elected by the central delegates at that time , and was " promoted " by Ling Liong Sik from the Team A and the other by Lim Ah Lek during the turmoil . This paved the way for these Men Of No Substance to be made President and Dep President . During his term of office all he could do was " Life Long Learning , asking everyone to go back to school to get some stupid indoctrination . His usual we " have discuss in Cabinet " resulting in Nothing done for the Chinese Community as his repertoire is like pulling wool over the eyes of the Chinese Community . Chua Jui Meng once said , Silent Politics is NO Politics referring to Ka Ting .

The other " great thing " he has done as president to consolidate his position as president is the injection and creation of Phantom Members and Phantom Branches within all the Divisions and having Phantom Central Delegates meaning CDs representing zero members and fictitious branches . Branches that are created with fictitious names all plugged in from the illegal use of photostated ics from direct selling companies members . And who is the one who made this happen in collaboration with the mastermind ? his brother , of course who is the Secretary General of the Party , who also controls membership as well as the headquarters administration .

And lastly to create fear among party members and to have muscle within the party , the great one got his tribe of followers ie the Triads to infiltrate the party . When he was the Deputy Home Minister prior to his promotion , he released 16 very notorious personalities from Simpang Reggam who subsequently set up MCA branches all over the country . This resulted in Ong Tee Keat exposing this by bringing up the matter to Mahathir that the MCA has been infiltrated by Triads . Eventually Jackie Chan of the Sio Sam Ong was indentified as one of them .

Snoop squad saga returns to dog Ka Ting

The MCA investigation panel report on the snoop squad controversy that dogged Ong Ka Ting during his short tenure as MCA president could soon be leaked to the Internet, warned a MCA leader today.

MCA Puchong division deputy chief Theng Book, who led the 'Save MCA' campaign in 2008, had previously accused Ka Ting of forming a clandestine snoop squad to dig up dirt to discredit his political enemies.

According to Theng, who is a loyalist of deputy president Dr Chua Soi Lek, the report contained the transcripts of the testimony given by eight witnesses as well as the working paper of the snoop squad.

The transcripts are believed to contain information showing that Ka Ting was the mastermind of the snoop squad with party vice-president Liow Tiong Lai being a key member.

"When Ka Ting stepped down, the government had given him the title of 'Tan Sri', that means you are retired, does he think that having 'Tan Sri' is not enough and he want to return to take the title of 'Tun'?" said Theng.

He also took a swipe at former vice-president Liow Tiong Lai, whose faction is believed to be aligned to Ka Ting, challenging him to contest the presidency.

"The Liow faction were very adamant for re-election . Now that there is a re-election, I hope he (Liow) will contest for president. Don't hide in his shell, and don't bring back retired people to be his teammate," he said.

10 reasons why Ka Ting cannot be president

In what seemed like the resurrection of the anti-Ka Ting campaign, Book provided 10 reasons why Ka Ting should contest again.

He said that Ka Ting had nothing to show during his five and a half years as president to claim the ability to save the party.

Theng also accused the former party chief of serving his cronies during his tenure.

Among other reasons given was Ka Ting's endorsement of embattled party president Ong Tee Keat and his role in MCA humiliating defeat at the March 8, 2008 general election.

"In this one and a half year, he did not show any concern for the party but now that there is re-election, he wants to save the party," Book said.

He also criticised Ka Ting's nine-point party platform and accused him of being a polarising figure as well as a vengeful person.

Theng's attacks come in the midst of fresh party elections due on March 28 with nomination day scheduled on Monday.

The feuding groups that will clash in the coming election are factions aligned to Soi Lek, Ka Ting-Liow and Tee Keat.

IN THE latest twist of events in the run up to the MCA polls, president aspirant Dr Chua Soi Lek challenged fellow contender Ong Ka Ting to refute that he (Ka Ting) is behind an SMS that linked him to the Umno leadership.

The SMS had purportedly claimed that Ka Ting has the blessings of Umno chief and Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak to join the contest.

It is uncanny, observed Chua, that the SMSes surfaced just after Ka Ting declared he would go for the No 1 in the MCA polls.

Ka Ting, of course, denies he is in the fight because Najib had asked him to.

However, many are apt to believe that the SMSes had indeed implied that he is an Umno lackey.
Who else is an UMNO lacky ?
Clue : has a Tan Sri , a former MCA deputy president , from Pahang ( CKC's and Liow's master puppeter ) and known to be very close to PM Najib and UMNO . The one who asked OKT to recontest . Sms originated from this source ?

To other observers, however, such actions also insinuate that some MCA campaigners are already bankrupt of ideas and strategies to shore up support for their favoured candidate.

Najib and his deputy, Muhyiddin Yassin, had publicly said they will not interfere in the selection of MCA leaders but they would give their support to the choice made by the delegates.

Perhaps, this has been construed as 'giving blessing' to Ka Ting, when the former party president decided to enter the race to re-claim his former post.

Arguably, the entry of Ka Ting into the fray and his attempt to make history by becoming the first ex-party boss to fight back for the top post has made the MCA presidency the most heated political contest in recent years.

But what is new, anyway?

Just a good 'administrator'

Not all of them go away, however. They continue to stay, albeit in the guise of advisors, observers and trouble-shooters. Often, they turned out to be trouble makers.

During his term, from 2003 to 2008, Ka Ting was considered a good 'administrator' as he and deputy Chan Kong Choy had been able to keep the house in order following a tumultuous period of Team A and Team B factional quarrels.

But many wrote him off as a good 'leader' after he snubbed a Cabinet post and then refused to continue helming the party in the aftermath of the MCA's dismal showing in the 2008 general elections.















His attempt to do a Michael Schumacher now may not impress most of the current crowd who will be casting their votes in the premature polls on March 28. (The actual triennial election is only due next year.)

Shuey, as the media likes to call the racing ace, is raring to get back his pivotal place in the F1 circuit.

A news portal observed that the champion that came after him, young British black driver Lewis Hamilton, was good only for the go karts during Schuey's prime.

But retirement did not seem quite right for Schuey, 41, and his fans encouraged him to return to the tracks again to show the younger ones a thing or two about what F1 is all about.

Perhaps, like Schuey, Ka Ting was inspired by the 'numerous calls' from his supporters to return to active participation in MCA politics after being just an observer for the past 18 months or so.

In Shuey's first outing at the Bahrain tracks last week, the former world champion failed to make it to the podium, coming in only sixth.

In Ka Ting's race, he will be facing two heavyweight contenders - incumbent Ong Tee Keat and Chua, formerly a tainted vice-president who came back with a vengeance to claim the higher deputy president's post in October 2008.

I have always respected Ong Ka Ting until I discovered a cold calculated leader in him that is totally devoid of emotions. Someone reasoned that he is cold and unsympathetic towards others as he was bullied as a child as a result of family poverty and circumstantial.

As such he lacks compassion for victims of circumstances and am unsympathetic to victims as he has been in similar situations or worst and he did not received the timely compassion or sympathies needed.

Therefore he is the product of a social vicious circle if he is indeed cold and calculated as alleged. No one would believe or perceive the 'Mr.Hyde' in him until you have encountered the darker side of him.

For the students of art of warfare, the recent Mca debacles were ideal models of the art of war at its best. The ultimate beneficiary is the Ong Brothers again and the losers is Mca again.

Here is the scenario of a very polished and articulated plan executed by a master strategist.

Ka Ting had executed a perfect plan to place his brother Ong Ka Chuan to be the Minister in the Federal Cabinet. Had the election results of 308 been favorable, the Ong Brothers will make history by being the first brothers in cabinet.

Both the Ong Brothers will be 50% or consist of half the MCA ministers in the Federal Cabinet. That would have been a dream come true for the brothers from Lenggong, a remote new village in northern Perak.

Unfortunately the 308 election results was one of Mca's worst election results and thus Ka Ting decided to pass the baton to his elder brother Ong Ka Chuan. In the process of grooming his elder brother to be the next Minister Ka Ting had first identified the rules and regulations to eliminate the existing Cabinet Ministers then.

Fong Chan Onn the Human Resource Minister will be eliminated for having served two terms as a Minister. Chua Soi Lek the Health Minister was eliminated by a video shooting star. Chan Kong 'Choy will self detonate and run away to Australia for being mysteriously 'sick' but yet attempted to lobby to stand again during the last general election.

To cut a long story short, Ka Ting chaired his last Central Committee meeting and had attempted to control the party assets worth billions by proposing a 'Trust Committee' to administer the party's assets but it was short down by the Central Committee who smelled a fish somewhere.

The properly executed plan of depriving the two Vice President Ong Tee Keat and Donald Lim of a State Liaison Chairman was strictly to cut the wings of these two up and coming politicians who were then the potential Ministers in waiting.

But Ka Ting was reserving and planning the next Mca Minister to be none other than his appointed Secretary General Ong Ka Chuan who happens to be his elder brother despite the fact that he had lost and faired badly in the 2004 election when he stood against Fong Po Kuan.

He had forced Loke Yuen Yow to vacate the Tanjung Malim parliamentary seat to his elder brother as it was deem to be a safe seat. Ka Chuan cannot afford to lose this time as he had lost his to Poh Kuan in Batu Gajah in the 2004 election. He is the only State Liaison Chairman who had lost and yet rewarded with the powerful party position of Secretary General by his younger brother. Thus Ka Ting had seek a safe seat and a safe path for his elder brother.

Under Ka Ting, there is no room for dissent as he has an iron grip over the party after been an apprentice to Tun Ling Liong Sik and muscling in the party for more than two decades.

Further he has the intimidating rough high handed help of Chan Kong Choy to execute his dirty moves. No one dare to go against the combined forces of the notorious Chan Kong Choy and the insidious Ong Ka Ting then.

Ka Ting had been alleged to be responsible for the infamous Three Men Killer squad purportedly consisting of Liow Tiong Lai, Wee Jeck Seng (his political secretary) and Tee Ann Chuan (an ex-convict given a special waiting room in Liow's ministry then). He had skillfully set up an inquiry to close the allegations of which the results of the inquiry had yet been allowed to see the light of day.

And now the man had carefully staged a comeback with the help of the powerful Chinese media who had been seen to be an active party to oust duly elected President Ong Tee Keat in a carefully calculated executed plan since the lost of his elder brother Ong Ka Chuan to his nemesis Chua Soi Lek.....

Ng Seng Tong: Ong Ka Ting has never been known to be a fighter-all-the-way when it comes to presenting issues of the Chinese community to the Umno/BN government. Yes, Umno would hear him out, but that's about all.

Umno would not listen to him, thus, all issues affecting the Chinese are ignored. Wasn't he the president of MCA just before the last held general election? If he had represented the Chinese effectively, MCA would not have been trashed in the general election.

Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak prefers him rather than Ong Tee Keat because he is easier meat to chew. MCA members, don't be short-sighted. In your earnest desire to get over the in-fighting in your party by electing him, you are going to be frustrated with him and his way of forever kowtowing to Umno. Please check his track record in this area.

Azmil Tayeb: There it goes. The Umno running dog is contesting. If he takes over MCA, then the results of the next general election will be the last election for MCA. The party will be finally put to rest and cremated.

Changeagent: Ong Ka Ting's comeback statement is so predictable and cliched. Of course, it's the party delegates who have 'urged him to do so'. Never mind the fact that it was under his helm that MCA was almost obliterated in the last general elections.

Instead of listening to the party delegates only, it would be wise for him to also listen to the larger Chinese community. They do not trust him nor his leadership capabilities. Is that message loud and clear enough for Ka Ting?

Habib RAK: The best thing for OKT (Ong Ka Ting) to do to help MCA members is to quit BN and be an NGO. Being a lapdog to Umno is simply helping it to screw the Chinese community.

Mari Cari Amoi: What has Ong Ka Ting done for the community during his tenure besides being a good lap dog? Just because he is not holding a position now in MCA does not means he is an angel and can be a saviour. The best solution for MCA is close shop and distribute its RM2 billion assets.

This morning CSL held an PC at Alor Star regarding sms sent by Ong Ka Ting supporter,,Says that Ong Ka Ting coming out contest President Post is the blessing of PM. He said that all this inform was not true, is a story made by them. All is bull shit.

So Ong Ka Ting has PM support , Chua has UMNO support and Ong Tee Keat has Rakyat and Chinese People support .

And PM Najib said MCA leader must not only enjoy support within party but the people and community. If this is not an endorsement of Ong Tee Keat , then I dunno what is.

Ka Ting's Failures

There have been many calls by many MCA veterans asking MCA President Ong Ka Ting to take full responsiblity for the disasterous performance in the recent general elections and to step down.

Among the various issues attributed to the great and shameful loss of the MCA headed by the shameless Ong Ka Ting are these issues .

a) The resignation of Dato Chan Kong Choy as Dep President of MCA and susequent non candidacy due to the PKFZ 4.6 billon issue .

b) The Chua Soi Lek sex scandal , both issues were speculated to be OKT own doing so as to pave the way for Ong Ka Chuan to move up .

c) The so called rejuvenation of MCA where over 45% of the MCA incumbents were replaced with so called new faces is a seriously flawed process with the intention of replacing those capable of winning ie incumbents who won with convincing margins , with those of his "ma chai" or his stooges.

d) Perak state government was lost because Ong Ka Chuan decided to replace incumbents with his stooges , the BN won 28 state seats whereas the Opposition won 31 seats . BN only needed to win 2 seats to make it 30 for a slim majority of 1 seat against 29 for the Opposition . MCA contested in16 state seats and won only 1 state seat . This is considered great for the MCA State Chairman of Perak none other than Ong Ka Chuan who replaced candidates in several state seats with those of his supporters without due consideration to the BN who needed to win as many as possible and yet lost in the gamble and also the Perak state government all in the name of rejuvenation .
eg ; won Gopeng but lost the 3 state seats , won Kampar but lost the 3 state seats .

e) Preach clean politics but endorsed unclean candidates . Refer to the article on Bayan Baru UMNO and Chinese voters are against BN Parliamentary Seat candidate dd 4/3/08

f) Preach rejuvenation but dropped several young candidates in favour of old candidates align to him . Eg dropped Loh Seng Kok the Kelana Jaya incumbent who won in 2004 with over 20000 votes and only served one term with Lee Hwa Beng. Several young candidates in Penang were dropped in favour of several over the hill incumbents . And this is called Rejuvenation!!!!!!!!! OKT must be out of his mind .

g) Promised the PM that all his candidates nominated by him to contest in Penang will WIN . All LOST . Promised to and announced by Khir Toyo that MCA will win ALL in Selangor .What a BIG BALONEY , Bullshitt !!!!! All LOST . So what has OKT got to say to PM and Selangor BN ??? Collective Responsibility ?? He was so sure MCA will win all? Our analysis looking at all the issues that was cropping up at the rate of one new issue a week since Hishamuddin started it with the Keris raising issue ,pig issue , Islamic country announcement , religious issues like temple demolition and the Mazu issue in Kudat to the confiscation of bibles at the airport prompted the Christians in churches to vot for the opposition . And yet the MCA President still thinks MCA will win ALL the seats . I think he must be BLIND .

h) He knows the Chinese were angry with Hishamuddin raising the keris and he has the cheek to tell the Chinese people that it has been resolved behind closed door and this is what Chua Jui Meng meant when he said Silent Politics is Zero Politics . Worst he thought he looked very loving and handsome to HUG Hishamuddin , the man who wanted to dip the keris in Chinese blood . This was used as posters by the DAP in the recent general elections .Do you think you can still have the respect of the Chinese in Malaysia ????????? I like to know.

i) The party constitution says only members who have joined the party for not less than 3 years are only eligible to become central delegates , nominated for titles , nominated to become councillors etc but you have bent the constitution to serve your ends for fear of Chua Soi Lek exposing you like you exposed his sex scandal . I wonder what has Chua Soi Lek have on you , another sex scandal ? . You have bent the party constitution by allowing Chua Soi Lek's son Chua Tee Yong to be made a parliamentary candidate of Labis even though he just joined the party this year in January 2008 . Misuse your power on the presidential council and approved his membership immediately on 22/01/2008 after his father sex scandal came out into the open. Made him the Labis candidate in March , all in a matter of 3 months ainto nd promising and submitting his name for a deputy ministers position . And you preach clean politics ? Wow this is sure buggy jump case not parachute case , a bit slow .Can the ACA please look into this ? Will Pak Lah please look this !!!

j) So your croonies say there is is a loophole in the Party Constitution for this special case , is there ?? Or you think all MCA members are FOOLS , only your croonie Wong Mook Leong and the three stooges ie Ong Bros and CKC are very Smart and Clever . We shall see ... To ensure that this happens your game plan is to make sure that your position and that of Chan Kong Choy as deputy president is not challenged this coming party election . This means Chan will be holding the deputy position so as when the time is ripe for your brother to step in 2011 both of you will then vacate both your positions . As long as Chan is there as no2 no one can challenge that position with the help of Chua Soi Lek to provide the necessary delegates support. Am I right Chua Soi Lek ? Or is it that you all already have a written or unwritten agreement .? In MCA is dangerous not to have a written agreement . The president can say one thing and do the reverse . Right OKT???

Ka Ting bids for No 1

KUALA LUMPUR – Former MCA president Ong Ka Ting said today that he will contest for the MCA party presidency during the March 28 central committee elections .

He said the decision to contest for the top post was made after discussing with party delegates, veterans and members.

There had been strong rumours that Ka Ting would seek to resurrect his political career by making a comeback and make a bid for the MCA presidency.

The MCA has been riddled with political problems after factions led by vice president Liow Tiong Lai, Youth Chief Wee Ka Siong and their supporters revolted against party president Ong Tee Keat.

Did not want to seek re-election but...

Ka Ting said though he had promised that he would not seek re-election, the current state of affairs with the party has made him reconsider.

"Good governance and collective leadership, practised and advocated by my team during my presidency, have become almost entirely a thing of the past as soon as I have retired," he said in media statement today.

"I'd be selfish if I stayed out," the statement added.

Greatly embarrassed if he fails

He claimed that there was therefore, an urgent need for these weaknesses to be quickly addressed and rectified," he said.

Ka Ting also said that the party had also been plagued by in-fighting ever since the Oct 18, 2008 party elections, which he said "brought shame to MCA and its supporters. "

Given the circumstances, Ka Ting said he could have "taken the easy way out" and stayed out because he would be greatly embarrassed should he fail to win the presidency.

Three-horse race expected

Ka Ting is the first person to announce his intention to challenge Ong Tee Keat as party president.

Ong had announced last week that he would defend his post.

Former deputy president Dr Chua Soi Lek is expected to announce his candidacy on Friday making it a three-horse race.

You quit the party when you were thrashed in the March 2008 elections! You left when the chips were down, now, you are taking advantage of the turmoil in MCA to resurrect your political career. Are you doing it for the party or are you doing it for yourself? Had you not left the party in a huff after the GE12, the party will not be in such turmoil, but, you were smart, you were afraid you would be forced out! Instead you resigned and now you see the opportunity to come back and you said you are offering yourself to serve the party! Fork tongued like all MCA politicians! Why don't you just fade away?
You will be thrashed anyway come the next GE. If you really are fighting for the Rakyat you should contest in a Chinese majority seat of at least 80% to prove your honesty and sincerity! Seats like Petaling Jaya Utara, Ipoh Timur, Seputeh, Tanjong or Cheras should suit you fine!

Thank you for mastermining the turmoil in MCA thru Liow and his Brutus' Wee, 'Fried rice noodle' and now trying to be the saviour of MCA...what a pitch to deceive the delegates. Only delegates who are only concern for their own interests will vote for OKT so to cover all the wrong doings unearthed by OTK. Our community has already lost their confidence on OKT during GE12. If he wins and becomes the President once again...MCA will definitely be doomed come GE13. Wake up..for heaven's sake..MCA delegates don't let this mastermind OKT lead you to doomsday..GE13!
