On a Lighter note

I am wondering how the Christians in Malaysia would translate this Nota from the Vatican into Malay in view of the current happenings here in Malaysia . What would they be shouting ?

If you think you need a magnifying glass to see what is written on the Nota , easy just click on the Nota and you'll be able to see it even from your bed . Have a nice weekend .

  1. On an even lighter side:

The booodists, since their religion has no God, they can't yell "Oh God... Oh God... I'm cumming !" on the bed, what do they do then?

    "Ooooom ... ooooh ooooh ... Oooooommmm ..."

  2. Similarly, the following logic:

    "GOD IS LOVE.
    LOVE IS BLIND.
    THEREFORE GOD IS BLIND!"

The "love" in line 1 is not the same as the "love" in line 2, So how can the god/God be blind?

We Buddhists are also hit by this new version:

    "Om Money Pay Me Home"
[Correct version:Om Mani Pei Mei Hom]

    Or another joke in Mandarin:

    南無阿彌陀

"Nan Wu A Mi Tuo Fo Sheng Hao (The Holy Epithet of Namo Amitabha)"

So it was jokingly mentioned by some Chinese that there is NO Amitabha in the 'South'!

For leisure reading, oklah. We should not take these jokes seriously.

Jokers may commit lighter sins. But those who utter these "jokes" in bad faith shall attract bad karmas.

    Peace to all sentient beings!

  6. Sdra ANON 05:08,

    I don't understand your message.Sorry!

But I recall what Lord Buddha taught us:

    (A)"In man's mouth a hatchet grows,
With which fools will cut themselves
    when they utter evil words."

    (B) "According to the seed that's sown
So is the fruit you reap therefrom.
The doer of good (will gather) good,
The doer of evil, evil reaps.
Sown is the seed and planted well.
Thou shalt enjoy the fruit thereof."

MAY ALL SENTIENT BEINGS BE WELL & HAPPY

  7. This will not work with a Buddhist. There is no god in Buddhism.

Master Xing Yun said a man is like a village, resided by 5 persons (i.e., our 5 senses: sight, smell, taste, touch, and hearing).

And these 5 persons are led by the village head (ketua kampung): HEART!

If the "heart" is good, all 5 residents are well, happy and blissful.

If the "heart" is bad/polluted/corrupted, all 5 residents shall samsara=sengsara (suffer)....

So we Buddhists are taught to control our heart well.

We should not let it be influenced by the 'bad' surroundings:

    境由心轉,由人轉境

Instead we should control our heart to control the 'bad' surroundings.

    This is called PROACTIVE THINKING.

Therefore, by taking the above "bad jokes" as jokes, we leave "no scars" in our heart.

We won't be sad or angry, and we don't blame the speakers/jokers. (We don't act like moral judges or 'god', for 'god' shall take care of them thru the karmic principle.)

By doing this, we achieve peace of mind and therefore avoid samsara the sufferings....

Everyone can achieve this happiness. Simply control the "village head", and the other 5 residents are happy.

    Peace to all sentient beings.

    Your statement is correct.

Lord Buddha insisted that there is "no Creator".

We Buddhists are taught to therefore "abandon the heresy of worshipping God and of praying to him."

We are also taught to stop "all speculation and vain talk about such matters (god/creator etc) " and practice good so that good may result from our good deeds.

The Buddha did not encourage speculation on the existence of Iswara (God) among his disciples.

He wanted them to confine themselves to what was within their field of awareness, that is, to understand the causes of suffering and work for its mitigation.

He therefore urged his disciples to contemplate upon the Four Noble Truths, practice the Eightfold path, lead a virtuous life by performing good deeds and works towards their final liberation from all becoming and changing.

Just be GOOD, and the God/Creator may be redundant! (Thousand apologies to all the God-fearers/Peoples of the Book etc; I am talking to Buddhists/Taoists only. Namo Amitabha!)
