PUTRAJAYA (Nov 2, 2009) : MCA holding fresh polls will only divide the party and make it weaker, said former prime minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad. "Because the people who lose will not be reconciled. So in the end you will have a weaker party," he told reporters after witnessing a collaboration signing ceremony between three companies - Mega Signet Sdn Bhd, Return 2 Green Sdn Bhd and Bio Green Bags Sdn Bhd - here today.
He said the problem now in the MCA, MIC or Umno was jostling for leadership positions.
"They are not thinking about the party, the party is just a horse on which they ride. They think that by associating themselves with a political party, they can get something in return," he said.
Mahathir was asked on reports in newspapers yesterday that Wanita MCA wanted MCA to hold fresh polls.
He said splits were happening in political parties because their leaders were not interested in the country or the interests of their respective parties.
CMF should have cried when shouting at the mic, like a retarded woman, to make the scenario more spectacle.

Any fresh election will split MCA further.

Do you think the lost souls were sincere when they called of the 2nd EGM? After doing the survey a number of times through their road-shows they had found out that they did not get the 1/3 CDs' support. Being flip-flop every time, I did not trust them until the end of the briefing. If they were to have the enough quorum yesterday they would have done the round about turn again reversing the briefing to the 2nd EGM citing it was the decision of the CDs and they had to abide by it.
ReplyDeleteOnly 4th class mentality politicians would call for fresh election without putting every in place first. Immature FRESH ELECTION is not the solution as it is divisive and destructive. A more comprehensive plan like the GUP is the saviour of the party being inclusive until today as its ultimate objectives are to unite, heal and serve the Chinese community and the nation.
LTL, WKS, CMF and WNZ enough is enough. The majority of the CDs are not easily fooled. Once bitten twice shy.

Now LTL group realises that the ball in always in CC's court. They knew this before but due to overambition the unheeded becomes heeded only to discrdit themeselves. They have wated much time to meet the requirement of 2/3 for fresh poll. They become laughing stock in the eyes of all especially non MCA members who are watching the game of power play since Oct10 and by being the minority and buttressed by the press and bias media they think they can win over but disatrous to say they ended on starting all over again. What a tragic spectacle! The decision for fresh poll now lies in the all poweful CC. It is believed thatthey will snub the call for re-election and snub the PM & DPM whose support originally leaned to LTL & co. and it is going to an interesting event/game as to what is going to happen. The cat and Mice game is slowing unfolding and before the last curtain is laid down there wll be skirmishes here and there. It is going to be much better than 'Mouse trap' held in St Michael threatre in London. Let's see who is master over MCA - the Minority plus Armno support or CC's majority now that the rebel team recognises the 2/3 dilemma. I guess the CCm must thumb PM/DPM's nose on the way to a winning streak and to restore the dignity and integrity of MCA. Take a bet, audience. The play has just begun. Mon

James you are spinning and you are not fit to be called an academician. You should think deeper, look at the wider perspective and not write for vengeance only. Simon was referring to a few examples pertaining to the business circle.
Other than that, of course MCA is part and parcel of the Cabinet which brain-storm regularly. Your views is just very myopic and that reflects your intelligence.
