The REAL reasons why the MCA AGM was postponed

by : I Love Malaysia

Those who think that the Dec 5 MCA AGM was postponed as part of the PM-brokered peace accord is as wrong as those who thought Ong Tee Keat and Chua Soi Lek could never work together.

The fact is neither Ong Tee Keat nor Chua Soi Lek met the PM who had returned to Malaysia (after a week-long overseas tour of duty), 16 hours before the MCA Central Committee met and decided to postpone the AGM date. Besides, OTK was too busy shuttling between Hospital Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia and his home to nurse his stomach ailment, sustained from stress and irregular dietary pattern during Malaysia's intense campaigning for a seat in the International Maritime Organisation in London recently.

Besides, those who thought Ong Tee Keat care about Umno must have forgotten how he took on powerful forces in PKFZ which has enrichened some of the most powerful Malays of this millennium.

The fact was, it was all systems go for the meeting, and the party CC took the drastic decision to postpone the meeting 48 hours before the AGM was due. The Special Branch and millitary intelligence have reverted to PM Najib and his cousin Hishammuddin Hussein that certain quarters had planned to create chaos on Dec 5.

This message was confirmed and re-communicated by PM and DPM to MCA secretary-general Wong Foon Meng at the Bunga Raya Complex in KLIA the night before the CC meeting (http://www.thestar.com.my/news/story.asp?file=/2009/12/2/nation/5220483&sec=nation). Wong immediately rushed to relay the message to OTK.

OTK was informed that the "Wah Kee" triad members from Pahang, Selangor and Perak had been mobilised to stir trouble on AGM Day, in the presence of Najib, the DPM and BN component leaders as well as representatives from the Chinese community. The booing and jeering would begin as soon as OTK stepped into Dewan San Choon in Wisma MCA. And the rabble-rousers would continue to stir trouble the moment OTK delivers his presidential address in a calculated move to embarrass him in front of the PM.

And after the PM leaves, the chair-throwing would begin and pepper-spray war would commence, ruining whatever little left of MCA's tattered reputation. And no way in hell would OTK allow that to happen under his watch - again.

In 2001, when he was the MCA Youth chief, a group of gangsters had done similar things in what is now known as the 803 Incident, named after the August 3 fracas (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jnFpq4k_EIM). Then, anti-OTK MCA members threw chairs, blew whistles, threw stink bombs and even staged a bomb hoax to disrupt proceedings because they were angry that OTK had gone against Ling Liong Sik in the MCA purchase of Nanyang Press Holdings Bhd.

Fast forward eight years and the modus operandi remains, and one of the two main perpetrators remain. Three nights before the MCA Youth AGM, a dinner was held in Overseas Restaurant in Imbi hosted by former Federal Territories Parliamentary Secretary Yew Teong Look, the man instrumental in staging 803.

The anti-OTK man was distributing whistles and mapping out strategies to do a repeat of 803. The Special Branch had gotten wind that the rabble rousers had even planned to switch off the Wisma MCA main power source at the AGM official opening while the PM was there to discredit OTK- something Najib's security team could not compromise on. (The other mastermind of 803 was Hang Chin Pheng, who had receded into the background of MCA politics.)

The plan to use violence is strongly backed by MCA Youth chief Wee Ka Siong who has asked his machai Chong Sin Woon (who is under the payroll of Datuk Ng Bong Ching, a beneficiary of Liow Tiong Lai's Health Ministry projects) to play a role. Chong, who harbours hopes of becoming WKS' political secretary, has been told to convince delegates from MCA Youth to stay away from the meeting. In their absence, their MCA ID cards, which grants them entry into Dewan San Choon, will be given to the thugs to do their magic.

To avert all this and in order not fall into the trap laid by the WKS-led faction, OTK instructed CSL to postpone the MCA AGM. The postponement will buy him enough time to not only stage the Mother of All Comebacks, but also tigthen the noose around the dissidents.

  5. The writer among other things disclosed this:

"...The Special Branch and millitary intelligence have reverted to PM Najib and his cousin Hishammuddin Hussein that certain quarters had planned to create chaos on Dec 5...."

I personally do not believe that this piece of "intel" is "credible"....

One:If the "intel" is correct, the Police & KDN would be made/looked like FOOLS when the AGM was postponed/cancelled because of that "threat"!

Two: If the "intel" is true, PREVENTIVE ACTIONS of the Police/KDN would have been activated!

The 803 at Flamingo was an isolated case. I heard that SB got the "intel" + "rumours". On that very day, the so-called "prepaid trouble-makers" did not enter the hall. They could only hang around outside the hotel--under the watcherful of SBs and "rival gangs"....

The real trouble-makers were our own party members--who under the strict instruction of their boss, must disrupt the youth meeting at all costs.

I personally need more convincing "intel" or "facts" to subscribe to that kind of "reasoning" posted above.

There were many other reasons why the AGM was postponed...which are known to those persons of the inner circle....

If MCA succumbs to this type of "threat", what future have we got in national politics? If KDN also surrenders to it, aiyo-yo, the security of our country may go the dogs already!

    CHEERS.

  6. One:If the "intel" is correct, the Police & KDN would be made/looked like FOOLS when the AGM was postponed/cancelled because of that "threat"!

If the intelligence is correct , can you tell me how the police be made to look like FOOLs ? Do you understand the meaning of intelligence gathering ? And do you understand the meaning of prevention / avoiding a function when there is information that something is going to happen there ?

And please police / KDN is different from the special branch or the military intelligence . Also I think to you UTK ( Unit Tindakan Khas ) is also police .

There are many things you are not aware off my friend , its not as simple as what you think .

Two: If the "intel" is true, PREVENTIVE ACTIONS of the Police/KDN would have been activated!

That's exactly what happened , activated means the PM and DPM is informed of the potential threat , the threat to ONG and the action by this group with the aim of bringing down the MCA and BN with it as well .

Therefore the MCA is told to postpone the AGM which PM will be attending .

You have just contradicted yourself .

  8. Hei Bai Dao.

If you have intelligence that someone is going to bomb a meeting which you are attending , would you as an intelligence officer tell your PM not to go ? and cancel the meeting as a preemptive measure ? Whether the information you received is true or not , would you take the chances ?

Have you seen how PM's bodyguards do a routine search on a place before he arrives ? I have seen an official car to be used by the PM being sweeped ( bonnet and boot opened to look for devices , underneath checked with mirror ) before the car is allowed to be parked at the tarmac waiting for PM to arrive .

  11. Went visit 6 "Tongs" in Perak to get the low-down.

Yes, something was going on, but all of them are like "I heard something is happening but I don't know who".

Either they are afraid of the Rotten Fish Head / Ong Ka Chuan to name names or they just anxious to switch side.

J4OTK, please send your people down to Perak to gather more info.

  12. So the claim of MCA being a party of gangsters is true.

Triads have existed since the times of Emperors in China . They went by the names of red flag society , white flag society , red lotus society , etc etc .

You cannot eradicate triads in political parties you can only contain them and put them to good use for the party . They exists in all political parties even in the DAP and others .

Many Sio Sam Ong triads have since migrated to the DAP and so is the Peh triad whose taikor is a Tan Sri .

Triads became very active in MCA when Ka Ting who at that time was the Dep Home Minister released 16 hardcore triad Tiger Generals from Simpang Renggam to infiltrate into MCA to do the donkey work for him .

We have people in Perak monitoring ...in the Kinta Valley . Across the board . Initially I heard the Youth were boycotting the Youth AGM and only about 30 percent were going down to attend the Youth AGM . I didn't know the reasons for it . They spin the info by saying they were boycotting Wee and did not want to attend his AGM . Now we know better , they wanted their MCA central delegate smart cards .

  14. J4OTK,

To reply those accuse MCA filled with triads, you don't need to say much.

DAP is also filled with triads. So is Gerakan, MIC and many small fly parties in the Semenanjung and East Malaysia.

Trust me, many triads have become parasites.

Their main income is from political parties.

Regarding Pahang, J4OTK, my contacts aren't popular there, so you need to have Ti to monitor the situation there.

I have read that article and have "saved" that article . When the time is ripe I will show to you people that these papers are just writing shit gleaned from fourth and fifth liners in the party without any shred of evidence . In plain words they are getting hearsay news and spin it to make a readable and believable story .
    What a BULL !!!!!!

Just to let you know , next week starting from this weekend , OTK is going to accompany PM to Bangkok until middle of week and next to Hanoi .

Does it look like he is quitting ? What a crap ? nothing to write now since the fireworks have ended .

Nothing to worry , when OTK didn't meet with DPM it is a strategic decision .

When Malaysia and Singapore negotiated on the Supply of Water to Singapore and the KTM Land dispute , do do not see TDM and LKY sitting down and talking . They send their Ministers to negotiate until an agreement has been reached and then go back and inform their BOSS . Their Boss will then only show their face when they are signing their MOU , if the talks end in failure then their Bosses will not be lau kooi , Get it !!!!

  20. If you want to know, a couple of years ago, a paper was submitted to the govt on the growing influence of syndicated criminal organisations in the country. This paper laid out the scenarios and also compare the trend with the Yakuza in Japan. It is believed that like Japan, the Triads have significant control of the economy, just like Japan. In addition, the crime syndicates have strong influence on politicians.

In another words, we are ruled by gangsters.

  21. I thought about the next Wanita chief. No not the amorous kind. The pretty smart leader in the picture may not be the right person. What is needed now is a lady general. A Street fighter. A foul mouth, table banging and hard charging woman. We do not need an economist and paper writing wanita chief. We need who will charged at Chew Mei Fun and challenge her to a fist fight. That is what is needed now.

  22. To Anon 10:49,

    No, we are not Japan.

Japan's Yakuzas were formerly Samurais, so were the family controlling the Mitsubishi conglomerate, Fuji Conglomerate, and the many political dynasties who have much stronger influence on Japanese politics than arm no in Malaysia.

Malaysia's triads traditional income sources were gambling, prostitution and drugs, and they are losing their beachheads on all 3 fronts to competitions.

Government's decision to legalize gambling in the form of 4 ekor was a blow to many gambling dens.

While Genting are still feeding quite a number of taikor, with the passing of Uncle Lim, a lot of taikor suddenly saw their "ang pow" shrunk quite a bit.

Drug trades were the most profitable back in the 60's and 70's, but today the Indians, Malays, the Africans and the South Americans are crowding out the triads.

Even prostitutions the Indonesian syndicates are giving the local triads a very fierce competition.

With all their traditional income sources squeezed they have to look for other means of making money.

    Political parties.

The main expenses for MIC is to feed the thousands of Indian hooligans, while in Gerakan, ang pow containing hundreds of thousands are being given to the "Tong" committees.

Even arm no is crawling with Malay gangs, if you really want to know.

But luckily we are not Japan, where they have hundreds of years of Samurai tradition.

While the local Chinese triads may have the longest history, many newer "Tongs" have less than 30 years of history.

Many "Ah Bengs" nowadays don't even know the proper procedure in paying respect to their elders anymore.

So we are relatively "safe", so to speak.
