Why don't Tony Blair urge the British government in response to place a personal non grata to England on TDM for his racist policies in Malaysia when he was Prime Minister ?

KUALA LUMPUR – Dr Mahathir Mohamad said the authorities in Malaysia must arrest former British prime minister Tony Blair when he steps into the country later this month to speak at a business congress.

He said he is disgusted that organisers of the upcoming congress has invited Blair to be their guest speaker and paying a huge sum for his appearance.

"I am disgusted to learn that Blair is being paid one million dollars to come to Malaysia to give a talk to businessmen," Mahathir said in his blog.

"We must not allow this perpetrator of epic crimes, who fakes faith in democracy and in 'God’s work and God’s will', to touch our soil.

"If he does enter this country we should arrest him.

"Though Malaysia has not ratified the Rome Charter (the 1998 Rome Statute of the International Criminal Court), we do have a Penal Code.

"Murder is a crime. The Kuala Lumpur War Crimes Commission has countless reports from Iraqi survivors against Blair for complicity in mass murders, tortures, looting and other war crimes.

"The police must act on these reports and arrest this rapacious mass murderer," said Malaysia's fouth prime minister.

He added that citizens’ groups must file complaints against Blair with the United Nations General Assembly and with the Attorney-Generals of all countries which have universal jurisdiction statutes to pursue and prosecute Blair for war crimes and crimes agianst humanity.

Billed as 'respected and admired leader'

Blair has been invited by Singapore-based seminar organiser Success Resources International to speak at their three-day National Young Achievers Congress, due to be held at the Sunway Pyramid Convention Centre from April 23.

The organisers billed him as 'One of the most respected and admired world leaders in the last 50 years.'

They said in his 10 years as prime minister, Blair transformed Britain’s public services through a program of investment and reform in schools and hospitals, resulting in more children achieving better school results and more people receiving faster access to health care.

The organisers also praised him as 'one of the best speakers in business today.'

Mahathir said Malaysia must stand up and be counted in the community of civilsed nations.

"Enquiries have been held in England over the lies he told Parliament and the British people in order to go to war with Iraq.

"Caught lying he was unfazed or unashamed, claiming that his objective was to remove Saddam Hussein.

"For this he was prepared to kill 500,000 Iraqi children, another 300,000 Iraqi men, women and children and reduce to rubble historic Baghdad and other Iraqi cities and towns," said Mahathir, adding that in Britain Blair's name is dirt.

"Yet, in Malaysia, there are people who want to learn things from him. I can imagine what they will learn.
