The leaders of the party's two key factions - deputy president Dr Chua Soi Lek and vice-president Liow Tiong Lai - said i that they will not be attending the meeting.
The boycott by Chua and Liow came hot in the heels of Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak's decision to give the AGM a miss.
This leaves this Sunday's AGM to be a meeting of delegates aligned to embattled party president Ong.
Last night, Najib's press aide Tengku Sharifuddin Tengku Ahmad confirmed that the prime minister will not officially launch the controversial AGM, which is to kick off on Sunday morning at the MCA headquarters in Kuala Lumpur.
Najib's decision is the clearest indication yet that party chief Ong has lost the support of the Umno president.
In an apparent bit to crank up the pressure on MCA president Datuk Seri Ong Tee Keat, the party’s Youth chief Datuk Wee Ka Siong today blasted the decision to continue with tomorrow’s AGM, deeming it illegal.
Wee, in his boycott bid, had already succeeded in tainting his wing’s AGM this morning when the meeting couldn’t be held because the quorum was not met and said he would continue his offensive by abandoning tomorrow’s meet.
He also said the Wanita wing, which survived humiliation in its AGM after 350 delegates turned up, will not be attending Sunday’s AGM as well.
The wing is led by Wee’s ally, Datin Paduka Chew Mei Fun who deserted today’s assembly together with her supporters.
Talking about lapdog, LTL and CSL are not the only arm no lap dog (LD).

You may not like to hear the above, reality sux, I know, but still, that's the truth.
It's of course, not OTK's fault. When OTK took over the helm, MCA has already been arm no's lap dog for decades.
OTK tried to change it, but couldn't. The entrenched Lap Dog Mentality (LDM) has deep root.
OTK, being OTK (hailam lang are all like that), stubbornly fought on, and the lap dogs (LD) fought back.
So we had that WKS / LTL back stabbing OTK episode, and we have the CSL betraying OTK episode.
So how?
I know OTK wants to change MCA, but the LDM is too deep rooted. How to get rid of all those LDs?
OTK, listen up !
You need to change your mindset.
Instead of thinking you are the president of MCA, think of yourself as the CEO of MCA, Inc.
You are the CEO, you have the duty of revamping MCA Inc.
The Chinese, who are stake-holders of MCA, want you to do that.
So you report to the Chinese, you need not report to those LDs inside MCA.
Go tell the Chinese stake-holders what you want to do. Tell them what you need, ask for help.
The Chinese stake-holders, many of those who already boi tahan the LDs inside MCA, will give you all the help you need.
Right now the situation is MCA needs arm no more than arm no needs MCA. That is why arm no are treating MCA like shit.
What you need to do now, OTK, is turn the table around.
If you go back to the Chinese, and garner support from them, you will make MCA valuable once again.
So valuable that arm no can not treat MCA like shit anymore.
The Chinese stake-holders won't wait forever for you to turn the situation around, OTK.
You have blundered several times. You have ignored the voice of the Chinese stake-holders. Instead, you believed in your lieutenants that turned out to be nothing but arm no lap dogs.
Give the Chinese stake-holders your ears, OTK. Listen to what they have to say.
You need to listen to the Chinese, OTK, before you ask them for help.
The Chinese are tired of past MCA presidents who treated the Chinese as though they are "peasants".
What the Chinese need is to have someone from MCA who will listen to them. It's YOUR JOB to make sure that happen, OTK.
I know you are not an arm no lap dog, OTK, but you just can't fight all those am no lap dog inside MCA all by yourself.
You need the strength from the Chinese community, OTK.
Stop wasting time !
Go get help now !
OTK got the wrong advisers.... those people only whisper in his ears but can not organize properly. If it works they get the name and benefit, if otherwise, OTK shoulder all, like what happen now.
ReplyDeleteIf you look back, all the gang in LTL camp really supported him (I know) until he push CSL to the corner. Many grass root do not like CSL, especially those in Johor. But they worry of back lash and revolt like what had happened. OTK should have delivered results first before going for CSL's neck (not dick).
Instead, after all these problems, he put the blame on LTL (pls do not argue as LTL has his side of the stories).
Hence I think there is a great misunderstanding as these OTK/LTL were ill advised by people with vested interest.
Therefore i strongly believe and i think it is the best formation that OTK and LTL can team up. Of course you also need to PERSUADE WKS to join in.
In politics, you need team work. Do not go round to whack your people but come up with system to curb wrong doings. If you like watch the character "Lin Che Shu in the movie "Opium War".

The role of HAN KANG is want these 2 parties continue fighting with each other , apart money , they do provide WEAPONS ( Bloggers). ( Jet Li - Chinese cannot fight Chinese ). Many chinese died, their blood coming out can became a river ( One inch Land in One Drop of Blood ). Today we cannot let that chinese people died for nothing , Sun Chun San in Penang if knew chinese ppl died for nothing may be he do not want Revolution.Now start in Penang (MCA) down to Malacca, kick Japanese & Han Kang ( CSL/WKS) out from our land. Even if LTL is the last surviving member of MCA, MCA still should NEVER fall into the hand of LTL !
