Ong on medical leave
KUALA LUMPUR, Dec 3 — Transport Minister Datuk Seri Ong Tee Keat was not in the Dewan Rakyat yesterday because he was on medical leave.
The ministry, in response to reports on his absence, said in a statement today that Ong was given medical leave by the Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia Hospital and Deputy Transport Minister Datuk Abdul Rahim Bakri had informed the members of Parliament of the matter.
Ong, who is also MCA president, also did not attend the party’s central committee meeting yesterday. — Bernama
Dear J4OTK
ReplyDeleteIt is so pitiful that our OTK is ridiculed left, right and centre when he is really sick... Sigh
A strange thot, could OTK have been poisoned by the Triads ?
MCA Watcher
No lah. he is poisoned by the sights of the three bastards.
ReplyDeleteKUALA LUMPUR, Dec 3 — PKR has jumped on the bandwagon for a Public Accounts Committee (PAC) probe into the costly purchase of train engine units by the Keretapi Tanah Melayu Berhad (KTMB), a month after Umno MPs asked the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) to do the same.
ReplyDeleteBayan Baru MP Datuk Zahrain Mohd Hashim also wants Transport Minister Datuk Seri Ong Tee Keat to “come clean” on the diesel multiple unit (DMU) commuter train purchase.
“Other than an investigation by PAC, we also would like the minister to come clean on this issue because we saw many matters which do not make sense. How can Costa Rica pay 2 million euros and we pay 6 million euros for the same thing?" Zahrain told reporters in Parliament today.
“On this issue, it is not enough only for PAC to take action and therefore we would be lodging a report with MACC. If the government is sincere with people first and performance now, then the issue should be tabled in Parliament," he added.
He also confirmed that the PKR will lodge a report with the MACC “soon”.
“The Transport Ministry has been involved with many problems. The PKFZ has not yet been solved and now we have this. If we do not voice out, then the people will be cheated.
“We will report with the information we have. So far it is fairly complete but there are one or two matters that we would like to clarify before we present to MACC,” he added.
Umno’s Sri Gading MP Datuk Mohamad Aziz had demanded that MACC investigate Ong’s role in the double-tracking project.
Mohamad claimed that the railway board did not authorise the purchase of “out of commission” diesel trains for the project but Ong had used his “minister’s power” to approve the purchase.
Arau BN MP Datuk Ismail Kasim also questioned the purchase of the diesel trains because it did not follow the standards and specifications of the KTMB board.
Ismail pointed that the trains were not approved by the board and the services of the managing director were terminated when the agreement was signed.
Tenggara BN MP Datuk Halimah Mohd Sadique questioned why the minister purchased the nearly ”out of commission” trains when KTMB was already using electric trains.
Halimah also asked if the existing railway tracks had to be modified to accommodate the diesel engines.
However, former KTMB managing director Datuk Radzak Abdul Malek has defended the purchase of the used DMUs from Spain, saying it was to overcome a shortage of commuter trains under an economic stimulus programme.
He also reiterated Transport Ministry’s stand, declared in a recent statement, that it had bought the trains at a reasonable price.
Radzak disclosed that the railway company paid less than other countries for the used DMUs.
He said buying the used diesel trains was the fastest way for KTM to solve its problem and dismissed reports that the purchase was against the KTMB board’s decision.

seems that PKR wants to join in the fun now..
HELLO KAWAN2,
ReplyDelete(A) LET'S PRAY THAT SDRA OTK GET WELL SOON, SO THAT HE IS ABLE TO RETURN TO THE FORUM (PARLIAMENT)/MOT TO TALK....
No wild allegation on 'poison' by any quarterlah....[Some writers must have over watched the emperor movies on Emperor GANGXI who was allegedly "poisoned" by his 4th prince, Yung Chen!]
No black magic alsolah. This is because righteous man cannot be harmed by the black magic!
(B) On the purchase of second hand DMU train engines, only nuts will believe that OTK "personally had interest" in the purchase. When a Ministry wants to purchase goods, you know how many volumes of documents got to be sent to MOF/Cabinet? The Minister merely dispatched the documents and explained when asked by members of the Cabinet/PM/DPM....He will never go all out to fight/insists on any purchase--for this is NOT for his banglo in Taman Midah!
(C)Next: The double tracking project. This was Tun Dr. M's idea and the contract was awarded during his era but cancelled by Pak Lah (and revived by Najib?). Is OTK's cousin brother the contractor???
ALL ACCUSERS/ALLEGATIONS ARE XIAO already....
Luckily my mind is still under control, and not turned around by the adverse publicity.

MCA WATCHER,
ReplyDeleteWhat you said is just a reflection of yourself.
SIGH!!!
Dear Anom 06:40
ReplyDeleteYour response is merely a reflection of your intolerance towards a difference in opinion.
You must remember that OTK has publicly said that his life has been threatened by parties including Triad elements. Did you not know that the founder of Chin Woo was poisoned by the Japanese when their fighters could not defeat him.
MCA Watcher
nobody really care for that stupid chinaman who died for nothing
ReplyDeletehe deserves to die becos he is too stupid
Are our MPs paid to be parliamentarian investigators? Do they know what exactly the core responsibilities of MPs are? Are they just good in digging up some old files to nail fellow MPs, unsubstantiated accusations for cheap publicity or political mileage? They act like Malaysian "FBI". Don’t we have the relevant authorities? We know how to judge and evaluate MPs who are really doing their job and those whose faculties are not meant to be in the Parliament. Please we do not want all those antics.
ReplyDeleteRemember your allowances are from our hard earned money and we expect quality MPs and not those who are only good for sandiwara!!!

I Love Malaysia
Those who think that the Dec 5 MCA AGM was postponed as part of the PM-brokered peace accord is as wrong as those who thought Ong Tee Keat and Chua Soi Lek could never work together.
The fact is neither Ong Tee Keat nor Chua Soi Lek met the PM who had returned to Malaysia (after a week-long overseas tour of duty), 16 hours before the MCA Central Committee met and decided to postpone the AGM date. Besides, OTK was too busy shuttling between Hospital Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia and his home to nurse his stomach ailment, sustained from stress and irregular dietary pattern during Malaysia's intense campaigning for a seat in the International Maritime Organisation in London recently.
Besides, those who thought Ong Tee Keat care about Umno must have forgotten how he took on powerful forces in PKFZ which has enrichened some of the most powerful Malays of this millennium.
The fact was, it was all systems go for the meeting, and the party CC took the drastic decision to postpone the meeting 48 hours before the AGM was due. The Special Branch and millitary intelligence have reverted to PM Najib asd his cousin Hishammuddin Hussein that certain quarters had planned to create chaos on Dec 5.
This message was confirmed and re-communicated by PM and DPM to MCA secretary-general Wong Foon Meng at the Bunga Raya Complex in KLIA the night before the CC meeting (http://www.thestar.com.my/news/story.asp?file=/2009/12/2/nation/5220483&sec=nation). Wong immeidately rushed to relay the message to OTK.
OTK was informed that the "Wah Kee" triad members from Pahang, Selangor and Perak had been mobilised to stir trouble on AGM Day, in the presence of Najib, the DPM and BN component leaders as well as representatives from the Chinese community. The booing and jeering would begin as soon as OTK stepped into Dewan San Choon in Wisma MCA. And the rabble-rousers would continue to stir trouble the moment OTK delivers his presidential address in a calculated move to embarrass him in front of the PM.

Dear All
ReplyDeletePart II
And after the PM leaves, the chair-throwing would begin and pepper-spray war would commence, runing whatever little left of MCA's tattered reputation. And no way in hell would OTK allow that to happen under his watch - again.
In 2001, when he was the MCA Youth chief, a group of gangsters had done similar things in what is now known as the 803 Incident, named after the August 3 fracas (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jnFpq4k_EIM). Then, anti-OTK MCA members threw chairs, blew whistles, threw stink bombs and even staged a bomb hoax to disrupt proceedings because they were angry that OTK had gone against Ling Liong SIk in the MCA purchase of Nanyang Press Holdings Bhd.
Fast forward eight years and the modus operandi remains, and one of the two main perpetrators remain. Three nights before the MCA Youth AGM, a dinner was held in Overseas Restaurant in Imbi hosted by former Federal Territories Parliamentary Secretary Yew Teong Look, the man instrumental in staging 803.
The anti-OTK man was distributing whistles and mapping out strategies to do a repeat of 803. The Special Branch had gotten wind that the rabble rousers had even planned to switch off the Wisma MCA main power source at the AGM official opening while the PM was there to discreedit OTK- something Najib's security team could not compromise on. (The other mastermind of 308 was Hang Chin Pheng, who had receded into the background of MCA poilitics.)
The plan to use violence is strongly backed by MCA Youth chief Wee Ka SIong who has asked his machai Chong Sin Woon (who is under the payroll of Datuk Ng Bong Ching, a beneficiary of Liow Tiong Lai's Health Ministry projects) to play a role. Chong, who harbours hopes of becoming WKS' political secretary, has been told to convince delegates from MCA Youth to stay away from the meeting. In their absence, their MCA ID cards, which grants them entry into Dewan San Choon, will be given to the thugs to do their magic.
To avert all this and in order not fall into the trap laid by the WKS-led faction, OTK instructed CSL to postpone the MCA AGM. The postponement will buy him enough time to not only stage the Mother of All Comebacks, but also tigthen the noose around the dissidents.

Foreign writer Bryant’s comments on Mahathir’s article : Kaki dalam Kasut where he says Chinese is the real master of Malaysia . This is a rational article written by a foreign observer in Malaysia.
The highly respected Tun,
WE NEED TO WORK TOGETHER
China is coming up, India is coming up, Vietnam is coming up and now even Russia is on the rise. In this flat world that is all wired up and regardless whether we are Malaysian Malay, Chinese or Indian, and if Malaysia does not progress, all of us would become history of this country! Without the Malay, Chinese could not do well in the country and without the Chinese, Malay would not do well. Both have to work together to bring up Malaysia and mitigate the ascute impact that is being brought about by the globalisation.
For me, a true leader is someone who has the foresight that not only focus on one particular group in the country but take care of the future of everyone. A good leader is someone who know what is the biggest threat the country is facing and direct the people to fight off the threat.
A leader is also someone who is impartial that has the ability to promote harmony in the country for a long period of time.
UMNO MAKE MALAY FIGHT WITH NON MALAY
UMNO is a political loser that leads the country to nowhere. They do not understand what is going on the outside world. They have no clue where Malaysia will be in the next 30 years. With the 3 new superpowers, i.e Indian, China and Russia standing tall and high together with USA and the Europe Union, they do not know what kind of world it would be and how Malaysia is going to compete and share the ever smaller slice of cake of the world economy.
They only know how to get the Malays to fight with other Non-Malay on tiny issues within Malaysia , while the two races know jolly well that the issues they are fighting are trivial and is totally self-satisfying. UMNO does not give a damn to how the poor Malay is going to live in the future and they do not care about the real benefits of the poor Malays. They only want the votes from them.
The NEP is a good evidence on how they benefit the cronies, instead of the poor Malay.Despite all their despicable acts they are still in the power.

ReplyDeleteMALAY IS EVERYTHING IN MALAYSIA
As you are aware, the Malays control the rights to all the lands and all other natural resources in this country. They control all government institutions, GLC and State owned companies. The Malays dominate the lawmaking process in Malaysia ; The Malays control the decision making process in formulating the economy policies. The Malays own the largest national assets and the Malays are given shares in the public listed companies for free.
The Malays have also been given all kind of priorities when it comes to buying properties, awarding of public contracts, tertiary education opportunities, awarding of scholarships and even getting a job in government departments. With all these privileges and rights enjoyed by the Malays, you are saying nothing has been done enough to help the Malays to catch up with other races, mainly the Chinese. Then what else should Malaysia do to satisfy the Malays?
Did the Chinese seize or rob anything away from the Malays or all their wealth was a result of their hard work? If it is all due to their hard work, why do you say it is unfair? I don’t quite get your point here.
WOULD THE FOLLOWING MAKE MALAY HAPPY IN MALAYSIA?
May I humbly ask you what do you expect the Chinese to do if your so-called NEP did not achieve the desired result? Would the Malays be happy if the ethnic Chinese in this country do any of the followings:
* surrender their assets and hard earned money to the Malays unconditionally;
* -not to engage in any business activities;
* -not to score As in all sort of examinations;
* -not to make money that is more than the Malays are earning;
* -not to advance to higher education; or
* – renounce their citizenships and go back to China or migrate to some other countries?
WHY DIVIDE AND RULE IN YOUR OWN COUNTRY?
I am a foreigner but I am surprised that your intention is to divide your own country. I think you are mainly targeting the Chinese. Frankly, tell us, what do you expect the Chinese to do in order to achieve what is so called “equality” meant by you?
ARE YOU JEALOUS OF LEE KWAN YEW ACHIEVEMENT?
Tun, after all these criticism you have against the present government, I feel that you are starting to lose your rationality on your arguments. You have run out of good reasons to convince us. I guess it could be due to your accumulating jealousy of Mr Lee Kuan Yew, your former counterpart in Singapore . But reality is always hard to accept. No matter how, you have to accept the fact that he is regarded the Father of Singapore but you are not regarded the Father of Malaysia; you have to accept the fact that Mr Lee is able to influence the government of Singapore until he the day he dies but you have not been able to influence the government from the moment you stepped down as PM.
You must also accept the fact that he is still very popular on the world stage and a leader respected by many but you are not quite. Because of these jealousies, you are starting to accumulate imbalances in yourself that lead you to embark on a series of action to attack your successors. It is very obvious that you are not happy when your successors are more popular than you.
Is there any good of doing that? What is your intention? Can’t you take it easy? During your time, you criticised most of the developed countries especially the Western Countries out of jealousy and after stepping down as PM you criticise every single soul remained in the cabinet for not listening to you.
When will you ever stop criticising any people?
Can’t you respect the decision of others?

ReplyDeleteIS THERE ANYTHING WRONG WITH CHINESE IN MALAYSIA?
Back to your recent blog, is there anything wrong with Chinese in this country? Did they seize or rob the money away from the Malays? Did they have the ability to come out with any policies to marginalise the Malays? Did they dominate the lawmaking process of this country? Did they formulate the economy policies in this country? Did they control the government departments in this country? Did they control the state owned companies and GLC in this country? Did they control the country’s largest oil companies and banks? You know the answer right?
WHO ARE MAKING THE LAWS IN MALAYSIA?
Malays are the one who dominate the the lawmaking process of this country; Malays are the one that formulate the economy policies in this country that favours the Malays. Malays are the ones that control the government departments, state owned companies and GLC. Malays are the one the control the funds in this country. Malays are also the ones that control the largest oil companies and banking industry in this country. With all these rights enjoyed by the Malays, what else do you want the Chinese to do?
Surrender their houses and savings and their wealth that they earned with their hard work to the Malays, for no reason? or ask all the Chinese to renounce their citizenship and go back to China ? Have you ever thought of after 30 years of implementing NEP, why it does not achieve the desired result? Don’t forget under the NEP there are a series of policies that favors the Malays. The obvious ones would be the distributions of APs and awarding of contracts.
IS THE CHINESE TO BLAME?
If with all these policies, it still does not give the Malay what they want, what else do you want the Chinese to do? Is the Chinese to be blamed because they are too hard working? Or the Malays to be blamed because they do not treasure the opportunities given? You know very well the NEP has been misused and it only benefits the cronies. So if you have designed NEP to only benefits the cronies, please don’t say it is the problem of Chinese that NEP does not achieve its result. It has nothing to do with the Chinese but NEP and the Malay themselves.
WE SHOULD NOT BE FIGHTING ONE ANOTHER – BUT WORK TOGETHER
This is a globalised world, Chinese and Malays should not be fighting against each other because Malaysia is competing with other countries. China used to be backward and lagging behind Malaysia but now they have caught up and have even surpassed Malaysia . Can we ask them to slow down their development? If they refuse to listen can we make a complaint to the United Nation that China is developing too fast and this is very unfair to Malaysia, which adapts a more a passive approach? Who give you the right to prevent others from progressing?
CONCLUSION – WE LIVE IN A FLAT WORLD
Who you think you are? This is a flat world (Obviously Tun did not read the book named “The World is Flat”). Don’t be so narrow minded to only focus on the Chinese or Malay in Malaysia . We should now look at the world as a flat world.
If Malaysia does not progress, no matter we are Malay, Chinese, Iban, Kadazan, Indian etc , we must work together or we would be extinct one day!
Change WE Must
so let us join Pakatan Rakyat the flat world reformasi!!!
