PUTRAJAYA (Nov 2, 2009) : MCA holding fresh polls will only divide the party and make it weaker, said former prime minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad. "Because the people who lose will not be reconciled. So in the end you will have a weaker party," he told reporters after witnessing a collaboration signing ceremony between three companies - Mega Signet Sdn Bhd, Return 2 Green Sdn Bhd and Bio Green Bags Sdn Bhd - here today.
He said the problem now in the MCA, MIC or Umno was jostling for leadership positions.
"They are not thinking about the party, the party is just a horse on which they ride. They think that by associating themselves with a political party, they can get something in return," he said.
Mahathir was asked on reports in newspapers yesterday that Wanita MCA wanted MCA to hold fresh polls.
He said splits were happening in political parties because their leaders were not interested in the country or the interests of their respective parties.

Wee and Chew to resign from party
KUALA LUMPUR: Community leader Tan Sri Robert Phang has challenged MCA Youth chief Datuk Dr Wee Ka Siong and Wanita chief Datin Paduka Chew Mei Fun to resign if they wished to continue condemning the party president.
The Social Care Foundation chairman said both Dr Wee and Chew should not criticise Datuk Seri Ong Tee Keat while they were still in the party.
“If they do not agree with the president, the right thing for them to do is to resign so that they can continue to criticise (the party and the president),” he told a press conference here yesterday.
Phang said various leaders from the Chinese community were interested to hold a dialogue with Dr Wee to find out why he and certain quarters were against the greater unity plan as announced by Ong.
“Dr Wee and Chew should open a forum to clarify their status as ‘traitors in the party’ and why they are against the plan when there is a possibility that the party will be united under the proposal,” he said.
He said deputy president Datuk Seri Liow Tiong Lai should also come forward and make his stand clear if he was in the same team with Dr Wee and Chew.
On the greater unity plan, he said it should be given time to be implemented as suggested by former deputy president Datuk Seri Dr Chua Soi Lek.
“If it does not work out, the party should call for a fresh election,” he said.
Phang said Dr Chua, who was elected at the party election last year, represented 49% of the central delegates and his “strong voice” should not be ignored.
Dear Tan Sri Robert Phang do not waste your breath on these to Brutuses. They are people with no principles. If they have they would not have stabbed the President at the back.

Ltl,WKS and CMF have been possessed by some unseen evil hands to destroy the Party otherwise just cannot think of any logical reasons to oppose the GUP which is inclusive. Gup means work for the party and leave behind whatever self interests at home.
ReplyDeleteAnd for the appointed CCMs I too feel that they should resign honourably because they should have the wisdom to work with the President who has the prerogative to appoint and dismiss. Yo err is human. Swallow your pride by making a courtesy call on the president to offer your sincere thousand opologies. I am appalled , as communication nowadays is just a phone call away. It is not difficult, isn't it?!!!

I pray that every CCM has the wisdom to subscribe to the GUP for the survival of MCA.
OTK have kick out four trouble markers in the central committee. Time for all righteous MCA members to stand up like a rock behind you President.

The MCA info chief post from Lee Wai Keat ( Black Hand Of Phantom Branch ) taken over by Heng - Very Good Changing. At least we can see someone who Royal to President can hold a strong post in the party. ROS just comes in the right time. CSL retained his Deputy President position. FGZ/ACC all should be replaced asap. Brutus Gang - chop one by one like Chai Siew. Now who ever want to challenge Youth & Wanita chief post , must show your hard works now . MCA YOUTH - MCA PIONEER in all aspect, Wanita - Back Your President is the only duty. We - Chinese will support MCA always.

I see it as a family quarrel. Unite. Lets forgive and forget . To err is human. To forgive is divine. MCA has to heal its wound and it needs everyone to be compassionate and magnanimous to work as a team. Regain MCA's strength and dignity.

ReplyDeleteThat "Xu Guo Wei" is a political commentor in 988 radio morning session program. I can sense his tone not siding OTK recently. hehe.. not sure if he has any hidden agenda at the back. Anyway, I don't see a point to support WKS, LTL and Fried Beehoon. WKS is the one I think we should get rid of in MCA. He is the most dangerous Brutus among all. Look at his pig head you will know.
