KUALA LUMPUR (Nov 10, 2009) : MCA is likely to make changes to its representation in the government and vice-president Datuk Seri Liow Tiong Lai’s faction looks set to lose two posts. Liow faction’s loss will be deputy president Datuk Seri Dr Chua Soi Lek faction’s gain.
Deputy Finance Minister Datuk Chor Chee Heung, who was removed as appointed member of the central committee (CC) on Nov 3 is tipped to be replaced by Chua’s son, Tee Yong, China Press reported today.
Thirty-two-year-old Tee Yong, a chartered accountant is the MP for Labis. He was among three new CC members appointed by party president Datuk Seri Ong Tee Keat last week when the latter removed four appointed CC members.
Other CC members who may lose their government jobs include Deputy Youth and Sports Minister Datuk Wee Jeck Seng and Deputy Women, Family and Community Development Minister Datin Paduka Chew Mei Fun who is the Wanita chief.
Sources said MCA’s top leadership may recommend one less post for Wanita in the next cabinet reshuffle.
Apart from Chew, Wanita has another deputy minister, Heng Seai Kie (Information, Culture, Arts and Communications) and a minister, Datuk Seri Dr Ng Yen Yen (Tourism).
The report said Liow is expected to keep his health minister’s post.
Youth chief Datuk Dr Wee Ka Siong, who is deputy education minister and aligned to Liow may be moved to another ministry.
Apart from Tee Yong, others who are likely to join the new line-up include newly appointed CC member Datuk Donald Lim Siang Chai, a former deputy minister and vice-president.
We want Chua Soi Lek to replace Liow as Health Minister .

2. CSL stated b4 and is still firm that he didnot want any Cabinet post. If the MCA and/or PM wanted to give a deputy mins' post to his son Tze Yong, CSL will "close one eye" and say "ah...that's PM's prerogative...." hehehe
3. PM Najib wanted the WHOLE MCA. So I don't think he will abandon Liow -who has such influential & powerful x-leaders of MCA....Liow may keep his minister's post until the next party election or GE--whichever is the earlier....
4. Donald Lim is a difficult choice, because he is not an MP. Neither is he a senator. CC in its last meeting already made someone ( I forgot his name) from OTK's faction to be new senator. MCA doesn't have so many senatorships left, mind you. We may need SPB Agong's quota:

5. The speculative news (above) in the China Press remains a guesswork. It is up to PM to decide, even though OTK may propose....
6. A junior man NORMALLY is appointed to a junior post first-say we remove Wee Jeck Seng and put Chua Tze Yong there:Ministry of Youth & Sports.
7. Chor Chee Heung's post is the MOST SENIOR among the MCA deputy ministers. Yes, maybe Donald Lim is senior but due to his handicap...next timelah....

9. I think CMF "cannot & shouldnot" be removed from her govt post. She is the wanita chief, mind you. PM also won't agree (for her removal) one...until she is defeated in party electionlah. Her senatorship also cannot be 'removed' --it is for three(3) years.
10. MCA leadership needs to be very TACTFUL in "benefits distribution"....Otherwise, they may win the war but lose the 'kampung halaman', and worse still, lose the Chinese votes in the next GE.
Be PARGMATIC & GENEROUS.
Always allow your [ MCA leadership ] 'stomach/chest' to be as wide as river, so that boats can navigate.
If your heart is "narrow" or "narrowed", you need a by-pass at IJN already...like Chua Jui Meng...hehehe.

Dear Boddhi Lai, I beg to differ with you that Chow Mai Fun cannot be removed as a minister because she is the wanita head. Look there is no where stated that a wanita president must be a minister. Even KJ the umno youth president is not a minister. No pack her off so that she can Tai Chow in her old constituency in PJ.

WKS is "untouchable" and so he won't be affected by the Cabinet reshuffle at the end of the month.
According to the Malaysian Mirror (Chinese version), it is Dr. Ho who may be dropped because his Ministry of Higher Education is to be merged under MOE (TS Muhyiddin & WKS).
So now we got two "high risk" deputy ministers, i.e., Chor Chee Heung & Wee Jack Seng.
Chor is from Kedah and he is the only representative in the Govt. Do you think it is wise for PM to drop Chor and risk the rebellion by the Kedah Chinese voters--who may switch support to PAS anytime?
Though Hing Seai Kie is a Teochew Kedahan, she is active in Perak. She has no grassroots in her kampung....
There is one very interesting comment in the Malaysian Mirror Chinese version:

Kari is arm nor youth chief do not hold cabinet post but also want to serve the party. MCA / CMF her brutus nature & WANT OTK RESPECT EGM1010 is proved " Lady hard to keep ", instead she should help president , she help Brutus Wee , it mark a very dangerous aspect for MCA. There is lack of good reason to keep a minister post to a Wanita who is not helping the party for GUP , where MCA need stabilisation without wing to support.

Chor from Keadh is fast losing grassroots support . Even his old time buddy Chong Itt Chew doesn't see eye to eye with him . Chor nearly lost his seat in the last GE , won by only a few votes .
Voters today do not look at the candidate but rather the party . If OTK were to spearhead the next GE after clearing up all this mess , MCA will perform very very much better .
